Episodes 4, 5 & 6 are released on consecutive Fridays from next week. After that I don’t know.

I've read the books numerous times but haven't seen the series. I'm a cheapskate who plans until both series are fully released and then get a trial of Disney+ and binge watch!
But given the photos I've seen have Henry Hampshire and Declan in a polo team, I'd say they've deviated from "Polo" a fair bit.
Doesn't mean that it won't be really good, but it will be different imo.

Im so excited to watch, I must have seen s1 4 or 5 times now 😅 wouldn’t like to say how many times I’ve read and reread the books through the years.
I had the same thought re Ricky, not exactly an easy storyline to translate to modern tv, it was hard to overlook even way back when, in the book. I think I’ll have to continue to treat the series as an entirely separate, still utterly delightful entity!

Just finished a rewatch of S1. I am so excited. I love a moustache so I hope there’s lots of Declan.

A Jilly Cooper fan. I read them all when they were first published and am in the process of re-reading since I watched series one.
I gather season two incorporates a bit of Polo which is my favourite Rutshire book. Interested to see who plays Perdita who's a hard character to like.
I'm rewatching series one so I won't be starting season two for a while as I like to take my time.

Is the girl in episode 1 with the two polo guys supposed to be Perdita? At the swimming pool?

Just watched S2 ep1 this morning. It made me laugh out loud in places. I thought it was brilliant!!

Love the farcical dinner party in episode 2!

I’ve watched all 3 episodes ( I’m on the end of a filthy cold and feel exhausted )
First episode brilliant , then it went a bit off the rails , still excellent though !
Loved the dinner party
The soundtrack , fashion and scenery top class
I’ve read all the books , still have my original hardbacks ( just finished Polo for the millionth time )

Really loved it. Some parts were laugh out loud funny, it's very cleverly written. I am also annoyed at the scheduling though, I think it will put people off watching it to be honest.

I can't remember if there was a thing between Bas and Taggie in the books but they seem to be setting up a bit of a love triangle there.

Not in the book. Basil fancied Taggy and took her - all Cinderella-ed up - to the Hunt Ball and Rupert thought she'd slept with him and was very angry.
However, Bas told him later that Tag was in love with someone else "you lucky bugger".
Don't know how they're playing it in the series though.

It’s not a big enough show to warrant this sort of scheduling (however much I love it). Bigger and more popular shows have tanked due to this sort of thing.

I’d love to binge but it won’t stop me watching it.
