I thought it was Pat Butcher. But as I have never seen Pam St Clements on anything but Eastenders I had to double take

trying to be good and eek out watching the 3 episodes but it is a struggle.

The dinner party. Genius.

I'm confused about what year it's meant to be set in. The fashion and music seems to be a mix of early and late 80s.

And then some of the fashion looks far too stylish for any part of the 80s 😀

One episode down. Slightly boggled by the changes but very amused by the Remington Steelers 😁

I do like how they’ve put so much more flesh on Maud & Monica’s characters.

It’s supposed to be 1987 I think.

I really thought it was her. Weird to have this character and it not be her. I looked on imbd and cant find any mention of Perdita though… hmmm

Well , DD went up to her room to watch it and I haven't heard a peep out of her so I reckon she enjoyed it

is this the most glorious day of telly? Dutton ranch launch AND s2 of rivals. Bloody loved all 3 episodes. Thought it was even better than s1. The music. The fashion. Even sang along to the spitting image song 😂

Only 3 left before we take a break and the final 4 eps are released at the end of the year. Boo.

I loved the Terry Wogan reference - was it just me that thought about the large penis photo (attached for reference) and was a hint at a well endowed Declan?
Just pure, fabulous frivolity! The dinner party farce was fabulous. I thought Emily Atack was great.

Love the fact that RCB’s wife is now Hayley Atwell looks completely different and no one said a thing (or was this a nod to Dallas when the same thing happened to Pamela Ewing?😉)

I think it is her but we just don’t know that yet. She pops up again at the polo match and I don’t see why else they would have a recurring but un-named character.

Loved it. Quite happy for it to deviate from the book as well - Sarah Stratton was excellent. The dinner party especially.

Oh good lord - that went straight over my head.

Watched episode 2 and a bit of 3 but was interupted umpteen times which seems like a good excuse to rewatch. The dinner party scene was hilarious - Emily Atack was great but also Rufus Jones/Paul Stratton displaying brilliant comic timing.
Thoroughly enjoyed it although I'll admit to mentally ticking off what was in the book and what wasn't. I don't really mind though - just nice to be back in the Jillyverse.

The actress is really posh in real life!

Enjoyed season one but was frustrated by the ‘I can’t breathe without you’ line which has to be one of the most overused lines on TV.

I read on MN that Fred Fred’s wife becomes his ex wife, is angry and mean about it all, runs a boutique in town , and that he later marries Lizzie, so if that’s the storyline hoping for some messy but Jilly Cooperish so not traumatic divorces storylines! Loved both actors’ performances in season 1.

Who is Perdita, is she the polo playing one’s Taggie?
