Yes I think it’s mentioned in the latter books that Lizzie and Freddie end up married.

Tony said ‘1 down 3 to go’ after Rupert’s resignation (the 3 being Declan, Cameron and Freddie) . So to bring down the remaining 3 I’m guessing he’s going to have an affair with Maud, expose Declan’s (possible) affair with Cameron, and out Freddie’s affair with Lizzie.

I think the dark haired girl is Perdita. There’s a scene in Polo where she bunks of school and goes partying with Seb and Donmie. And the thing about the character is that she’s the spitting image of Rupert i.e blonde hair, blue eyes etc. That obvs doesn’t work for the TV series as Rupert is black haired - as is the unnamed girl.

I stand by my earlier suspicion that the dark haired girl is Perdita. Lots of people online think so too.

Patrick asked ‘who’s the heavenly girl’ clearly to draw the audience’s attention to her. I don’t think there would be this attention on an extra/ insignificant character.

They also alluded to her conception in episode 3 (Rupert’s involvement in group sex) so it’s definitely leading up to it.

Yes Pat Butcher is very posh. I once worked in a bank in Radlett and she used to come in and her voice was always a surprise.

I think Pam St Clement got her cameo because Dominic Treadwell Collins is producing. He was on Eastenders for a long time I THINK the name is familiar to me

I’m up to date now. Absolutely loving it. 1987 was a very happy time in my life (we bought our first house, we got married (my Mum’s shoulder pads at the wedding were immense)). I’m loving the clothes and the music and the little references to gadgets and things.

I've read the book years ago so can't remember the plot so non idea what is real and has different. I remember the name Perditz but not who she is.

Really enjoyed the first three episodes-loved the dinner party, Monica, Tab, Caitlin’s comments, the Heavenly twins, Lizzie and Freddie. I really hope it is Perdita and then we also get to see Daisy (I always thought she was a bit Jilly, like Lizzie!).

Was it Daisy that was being interviewed by Beattie about the orgy?

@jay55 i’d be all over a spin off mainly consisting of Lizzie and Fred Fred discussing fish fingers, Bird’s eye potato waffles (they’re waffly versatile) whilst using a swan kettle in the days before ‘the jug kettle’ was a thing. 😂

i think it was an unnamed participant. I can’t imagine Daisy going on tv to do it unless they’ve totally rewritten her character 😬 so I hope not as that would be an unnecessary change.

I loved the chicken song scene after the election. Also feel like we're seeing more of Patrick which makes me think they'll stay true to the major plot lines.

Perdita is a spoiler from Polo rather than Rivals if people are planning on reading them.

I also binge watched this morning- first time in my life I was rooting for a Tory mp to keep his seat 😅 I love the books and I love the series, Polo was the first Jilly I read and the one I love the best so it’s awesome if they cover that too - heavenly 😊

Must admit that although he wasn’t really my idea of Rupert, I’ve warmed to him immensely.
