Welcome to Thread 6 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

No murder cliffhanger after episode 6, but Matthew (aka Interchangeable Male #3) has taken an interesting approach. We wait to see what cunning questions Harriet can come up with.

The floor is yours…

This time it’s personal! Traitors 2026 | Thread 5 | Spoiler Free! | Mumsnet

I’m really disappointed that we haven’t had any more Traitors reaction episodes from Richard and Marina. I was expecting them to do one after each week of 3 episodes ☹️

Yes, same. I thought they said at the end of the previous one that they’d do another in a week.

i am not sure i believed Fiona in uncloaked.
reece was very chatty though

I didn't believe her either. I think she was trying to retcon her story because lots of viewers found her so unlikeable. She was given an easy ride by Ed which was frustrating.

I find it annoying that they only really seem to care about the celebrity version. This is a cracking series.

Great episode last night
Fiona totally fucked it

It couldn't happen to a "nicer" person.

PuppyMonkey · 10/01/2026 08:42

My DP is the same age as Fiona and when I pointed this out to my 18yo DD she said Fiona came across like she could be DP’s mum. Grin

I am finally working out the identity of some of the interchangeable men. Tonight I learned who Adam was, for instance (headband man). I’ll try another on Wednesday.

Stowickthevast · 10/01/2026 08:42

I'm worried for Jessie, hopefully they're lying to Matthew (interchangeable male who is trying to make a name for himself). I liked their red team yesterday. Jessie + 3 males.

Really hope Harriet is in for the long run and can find some support.

On the questions, I was trying to work out one of those riddle type questions you could ask where you have two doors and one door has a liar and one has someone who tells the truth... I couldn't get anywhere though!!

cariadlet · 10/01/2026 08:44

I was frustrated that Ed Gamble didn't go hard on Fiona - he made a mild comment about her not trying to collect the sheep skulls for Reece. One mild comment but he could have pushed her. Also disappointed that he didn't encourage Reece to talk more. Reece is so lovely (I feel very motherly and protective towards him every time he's on screen) but Fiona was allowed to dominate.

I'd love Harriet to win but can't see the Traitors being stupid enough to not murder her.

KittyHigham · 10/01/2026 08:44

I'm confused as to why the "asking questions" role is being presented as a prize or advantage for the faithfuls? Given the Traitors can lie, there's no useful information they can hope to gain.
It is of course, great entertainment. I like that it's given Matthew the chance to emerge from the interchangeables, but by showing himself to be a clever thinker, surely he's put a target on himself?
The same with Harriet. She's so clever and has Rachel in her sights, so I can't wait to hear her questions. How will she try and gain from the encounter without giving away her suspicions about Rachel?
I wonder if the potential disadvantages of the 'prize' were becoming clear to Harriet and that's why she offered it to Roxy?

Sandysandal · 10/01/2026 08:44

This series has been a bit slow to start but The Downfall of Fiona was glorious. She seemed exactly the same slippery, smug egotistical person on uncloaked. Yet some of them (eg Stephen) seemed to like her / maybe those that are less good judges of character? I noticed that lots of them said things like ‘what a character’ ‘what a woman’ rather than actually saying anything nice.

CharlotteRumpling · 10/01/2026 08:46

Brilliant episode!
I know this is an unpopular opinion but I love Rachel. She stayed calm. And go Stephen.
Rachel vs Harriet showdown will be epic. Though I expect Harriet will be murdered.
I expect the bland ones like Ellie, Jack and Adam to win probably.
But Matthew! What a sneaky bugger.

I can't for the life of me figure out what qs I would ask. Harriet is a lot cleverer than me though.

I am betting my bottom dollar ( or pound) that there are no more relationships. Please, Harriet is not Jessie's mum or Jack's mum or Hugo's sister. 🙄

LilyCanna · 10/01/2026 08:47

On Fiona presenting herself as much older than 62, I just checked and Celia Imrie is 73.
Anyway my main problem with Fiona is that she’s smug, egotistical and seems like a liar-by-default.

whataguddle · 10/01/2026 08:48

The questions to the Traitors is point less as they can just lie, it’s a bit of a waste of time.
Harriet is very shrewd she knows Rachel is a Traitor but will have to be careful how she plays it.
Why is Jessie obsessed with avenging Ross it’s weird and annoying.
When did Amanda say she’d had a facelift? She was quite manly I thought not feminine in any way.
Who was the poster that said about Reece going before we knew?? What the heck …
Roxy is so dull hope she goes soon.

I think I have never disliked a contestant as much as Fiona. She reminds me of an awful woman who bullied me a few years ago at work. So fake, so unnecessarily unpleasant.

I like Rachel - think she is doing a great job as a Traitor... The task has great opportunities to feed misinformation to the others - can't wait to see what they do with it

Harriet to win!

This for me an awful woman at work called Christine - she is Fiona without the Welsh accent. She was horrid. Shudder. Fiona’s delight in other people’s tears and upset is very real and not game play.

Sandysandal · 10/01/2026 08:54

Quite- Fiona didn’t seem to be lying as part of the game but for shits’n’giggles, and her appearance in uncloaked suggests that is what she’s like normally. She didn’t find the deceiving of the others difficult, unlike Stephen.
i also admire Rachel - she’s playing the game strategically and without malice. She’s calm and competent, she seems a straightforward nice person although she won’t tolerate being lied to. She didn’t get rattled by Fiona or retaliate with anything personal or unkind despite extreme provocation. She’s great! Women don’t have to be soft and fuzzy to be great! The qualities she is showing would have people hero worshiping her if she was a man.

sorryIdidntmeanto · 10/01/2026 08:56

I liked Matthews's questions.
I think Harriet and Rachel are equally clever and invested. One a brilliant traitor, one a brilliant faithful. And I think Rachel is on to Harriet too. Fingers crossed they both stay in for a while.

ZappyDays · 10/01/2026 08:58

xsquared · 10/01/2026 01:21

I can't see how Harriet is going to be banished, as she cemented herself as a faithful.

She is more likely to be murdered as Rachel knows Harriet is super smart. I am not sure whether she knows Harriet is on to her though.

Harriet is so switched on, she knows it’s Rachel but she’s sitting on it because Rachel is popular and people aren’t ready to hear it yet. I am worried for her murder wise though and she’s in even more danger now with getting the smoking mirror, I can understand why she wanted to give it to Roxy. I really think she needs to at least confide in Jessie about her suspicions regarding Rachel before it’s too late and she’s out. But actually Jessie is probably toast soon as well. Wish everyone would realise Sam is faithful as he’s a strong one!

Roxy saying she was the most liked player when everyone was saying it was Jessie was cringe, who says that?!

Sandysandal · 10/01/2026 09:01

Yup, that was embarrassing for Roxy.

yes, you have nailed it

AllJoyAndNoFun · 10/01/2026 09:03

I've kind of gone full circle on Fiona. She was really annoying me with all her gleeful murdering and I was pleased she got voted off but on reflection I think she just came into the game with a "go hard or go home" approach which is what she did. If she'd actually managed to pull it off and persuade everyone to vote for Rachel then she could possibly have won, but I guess that was her miscalculation because she created the "me or her" situation but the "Rachel is a traitor because she lied about Amanda" thing just didn't really make any sense.

JaneJeffer · 10/01/2026 09:07

Cushylife · 10/01/2026 07:58

Or Reece's Mum - this was filmed in the summer wasn't it?

She just typed the wrong name and meant Ross

JaneJeffer · 10/01/2026 09:09

It’s really annoying me how they seem to think that if the banished faithfuls had accused someone of being a traitor then that person is a traitor! It makes no sense.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 10/01/2026 09:10

Thanks @CaveMum - I really can’t keep up with this thread !

cloudtreecarpet · 10/01/2026 09:13

I'm getting myself confused about recruitment.

Do the traitors HAVE to recruit after a traitor banishment & can they choose to do it at any time?

mateysmum · 10/01/2026 09:17

Fiona really annoyed me on Uncloaked. She just didn't have any coherent strategy for the shortlists when she was the secret traitor, in fact her reasoning was bizarre. I also don't believe the whole Amanda/Rachel thing was strategic. Unless there was a much longer time lapse between Rachel making her announcements and Fiona pulling her aside to accuse her, then I just don't think she would have though through that whole plan on the spot. I think we are well rid of her.
