Welcome to Thread 6 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

No murder cliffhanger after episode 6, but Matthew (aka Interchangeable Male #3) has taken an interesting approach. We wait to see what cunning questions Harriet can come up with.

The floor is yours…

This time it’s personal! Traitors 2026 | Thread 5 | Spoiler Free! | Mumsnet

The traitors handwriting in the notes they pass through from the confessional could be a clue for Matthew and Harriet, if they manage to take note of it before they have to burn it.

I wondered whether the handwriting would act as a clue or not.

Sorry to Backtrack (just catching up), I immediately thought of Ellie regarding the fairest question, as she’s blonde! The fact they said Matthew suggested the question had more substance to it, or they were only able to name each traitor once, and the others got mentioned elsewhere. Thought ‘bland’ was a little unfair.

Moana123 · 10/01/2026 07:16

Do you think Harriet offering her questions to Roxy will be a problem? Could people think she is a traitor and trying to get out of having to ask questions?

mumofoneAloneandwell · 10/01/2026 01:44

would love to know where this is from 😂

Found it! I don’t know why they wouldn’t have shown it. It would have made for great viewing!

The traitor who gave themselves away by doing an impression of Claudia Winkleman was Alyssa Chan from the first series of The Traitors UK.
The incident was not shown in the final edit of the episode but was revealed by fellow contestants after the show aired.

  • During a casual conversation, contestants were doing impressions of the host, Claudia Winkleman.
  • Alyssa, a Traitor, used the line, "Hello Traitors," during her impression.
  • The Faithful contestants present realised they had never heard Claudia use that specific line with the group, leading to suspicion about how Alyssa would know it.
  • This slip-up contributed to the other players suspecting her, and she was subsequently banished at the next roundtable.

Hard agree, we saw Rachel’s handwriting which I thought was a problem

Edited

I thought she was trying to disguise it by how she was writing. I could well be wrong, though.

Yes I was watching it with a friend and we were questioning why you / one wouldn’t write in capitals!

TheChosenTwo · 10/01/2026 07:24

This series has been quite a change from the previous ones I think.
It feels like most of the contestants have decided based on what else they’ve seen so far that they know how to play the game and they’ve attacked things going in all guns blazing. Feels like there’s fewer little cliques, less close bonds and there were theories being shared within about 15 seconds of the blindfolds coming off.
Not sure but maybe this is where the Traitors stops being my favourite problem!
I do like that they are bringing some of the special powers into it to throw in curveballs, we have played Werewolves for years and there are a number of special powers in that.
Although I think Harriet and Matthew will immediately be under threat now just because they’ve had the special power. I mean, look what happened to Frankie last year!

MrsLeonFarrell · 10/01/2026 07:24

Agree that Fiona was just as unlikeable on Uncloaked. So glad she's gone. My theory is that they won't have Harry on that programme because the last two times he was on he picked the winner!

If Rachel and Stephen were sentiment they would recruit Harriet and the faithfuls would be toast. If not, as I said in the last thread as long as Harriet doesn't do a Jaz and keep quiet too long she could win this. She has a much better social game than he did.

A friend of my son's Dad worked on this series. I'm going to try to get him to ask for some behind the scenes info, but not about who won. Really enjoying this series now Fiona is gone and don't want it spoiled!

Raisondeetre · 10/01/2026 07:26

beasmithwentworth · 10/01/2026 01:05

Agreed. Harriet has a very careful path to tread now. Incidentally I’m just reading her third book and think I have identified the main plot twist quite early on. I expected more from our most astute faithful (no doubt I’ll be proved wrong).

Also agreed I don’t believe for one second that Fiona believed that Rachel was telling the truth about Amanda’s ‘secret’ (as she said she did on uncloaked). Absolutely not.

lastly - I saw a TikTok with the infamous ex Traitor Harry (still the best one of all time IMO) giving his round up as he does after each episode. He said ‘it’s a shame they don’t want me on Uncloaked as I would have nailed this one’ (or words to that effect)

It’s true I haven’t seen him on there this year - though I did miss the first couple admittedly . He’s normally a regular on the sofa there.. or are they saving him for the later weeks, as someone pointed out they seem to be matching up the banished / murdered counterparts from past series’ .. (or if not does anyone know why they don’t want him?) ..

I haven’t seen panto baddy Paul on there either (or was he on in the first week when I missed it?). He’s normally there lording it up on Uncloaked too!

Third book? Harriet is a writer?

beasmithwentworth · 10/01/2026 07:34

Harriet Tyce's novels, in publication order, are Blood Orange (2019), The Lies You Told(2020), It Ends at Midnight (2022), A Lesson in Cruelty (2024), and the upcoming Witch Trial (2026), with the first four being standalone psychological thrillers that became Sunday Times bestsellers.

They all have a legal slant/ court case/ set around chambers etc. I liked her first one the best.

Yes! She writes crime fiction. I’ve never read any, but will probably give one a go after this! https://www.harriettyceauthor.com

So glad Fiona has gone, she was spoiling it for me with all her nastiness. Also thought she came close to ‘breaking the rules’ by outright saying that Rachel was a traitor outside of the round table. She wasn’t an entertaining baddy like Paul, just seemed horrible and didn’t really understand the game. Wonder if she is still in their WhatsApp group, maybe they’ve had to make a second secret one without here.

I also fear that some of the interchangeables get to the end as they haven’t had much air time yet.

I’d like Jessie to win, followed by Harriet. Roxy seems nice but not really doing anything.

Sandysandal · 10/01/2026 07:56

Jessie and Harriet will be murdered if the traitors have any sense though!

Cushylife · 10/01/2026 07:58

mumofoneAloneandwell · 10/01/2026 00:12

Thanks @CaveMum

who was the lady on the other thread who said that she was upset Reece had gone, approx 23 hours before we all knew!!??

😂 either she’s a producer 👀👀 or she needs to get on and share her lottery number predictions!

Or Reece's Mum - this was filmed in the summer wasn't it?

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 10/01/2026 08:01

DP, who claims he is watching with me under sufference, lol, said Fiona let her ego get in the way over Amanda telling Rachel she was a detective and that was her undoing. I think Matt was protecting himself as much as he felt he could with his questions to the Traitors.

MrsMitford3 · 10/01/2026 08:03

Just watching this am-
when Fiona says about Amanda "she would have told ME-most of my families are coppers" I just thought she would def be saying "don't you know who I am"
if she gets pulled over.

Just a very scheming and unpleasant woman

Edit to add-I am around her age.
She has done the classic thing of having great hair at one point in her life-probably the 1980's Farrah Fawcett Charlie's Angels era-and has stuck with it. Which is aging.

AuntyAngela · 10/01/2026 08:04

TheGreenBow · 10/01/2026 00:55

I had to ask who Adam was yesterday as thought I’d never seen him before. Saw him tonight and asked who he was again as had already forgotten him 🤣🤣 Although maybe that says more about me than his interchangeable nature!!

Really can’t see Jade and Jessie together. Can’t unsee the Jack and Jade likeness though - both quite distinctive noses/mouths and very good looking.

Ha ! That was my description of Adam in my description of the Interchangeables

Adam - the one you say "who's he? every time the camera is on him. 😁 (unless his talking - having his distinct Essex accent).

I distinguish Matthew as i think he looks like trainee priest from the 80s - but seems like he's going to be noticeable now. Unless they just murder him for telling them what to do!! I feel like Rachel will only want to recruit someone when it's absolutely necessary to recruit. Then it'll be someone easy to manipulate or who will be banished soon anyway. So won't want to recruit now what I e there's two of them or recruit someone who tells them what to do.

fairydust11 · 10/01/2026 08:06

Thanks for the new thread.
Oh no, I do not want Jessie to get murdered!
Fiona’s gamble really didn’t pay off thankfully 😅
Is Matthew linked to Rachel or Stephen? Seems very odd they murdered Reece over him.
Sorry but Ellie is bland. Jessie avenged Ross, not her, currently she adds nothing to the table.
I also feel sorry for Sam.
Rachel has Faraaz, Roxy & Jade who seem to truly believe she is a faithful, I think she wants to keep them in as long as possible & then throw them under the bus, although Jade could get banished, another one who brings absolutely nothing to the table. Surely she should’ve worked out that by Rachel saying what she said about Amanda puts her even more in the frame?

SoScarletItWas · 10/01/2026 08:07

Good morning all and what a wonderful world to wake up to, with no Fiona in it.

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 10/01/2026 08:12

Sandysandal · 10/01/2026 07:56

Jessie and Harriet will be murdered if the traitors have any sense though!

I wonder if they'll keep limiting the choice for murder, with more challenges that end with a shortlist or multiple players with shields. Agree it's in traitors' interests to take out generally trusted, perceptive players who aren't easily led by others (e.g. Jessie, Harriet), but I don't think they've had a chance to murder either of them yet and I wonder if some of the others might actively try and protect particularly Jessie a bit.

BTW I'm pretty sure Harriet confided in Adam (ghost hunter, builder, from Essex) about being suspicious of Rachel. It surprised me because I didn't know why she'd choose him, so I wonder if he's coming across well to others but we're not seeing a lot of it.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 10/01/2026 08:14

i am not sure i believed Fiona in uncloaked.
reece was very chatty though

oh i read blood orange, i think via a facebook book group.
unsatisfying ending but memorable i guess

MrsMitford3 · 10/01/2026 08:21

Does Claudia have a new stylist?

Her make up feels so harsh and unflattering.

Isn't Harriet a bloody genius? She is the one flying the flag for older women.
*speaking as one

And I think Jade being unfairly judged by her RBF.
I find her gorgeous and compelling but she does come across as insular? is that the right word? so easy to point the finger at her.

falalalalalalalallama · 10/01/2026 08:21

Ooh, how's this for a connection theory?

Perhaps the reason we haven't heard Matthew talking much is because he's trying not to bring attention to his accent. He's said he's from Edinburgh, but he's actually from Northern Ireland, so has a NI accent - like Rachel.

He's gone under the radar as a viewer of the show, partly as the Traitors have never mentioned him - and why would you if you were secretly trying to protect him?

Could he be Rachel's brother? (Think he's gay so not a partner).

(Full disclosure, not my original idea, I just read it on a random Facebook comment, but I think it has legs!)

I’m really disappointed that we haven’t had any more Traitors reaction episodes from Richard and Marina. I was expecting them to do one after each week of 3 episodes ☹️
