Welcome to Thread 6 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far:

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

No murder cliffhanger after episode 6, but Matthew (aka Interchangeable Male #3) has taken an interesting approach. We wait to see what cunning questions Harriet can come up with.

The floor is yours…

This time it’s personal! Traitors 2026 | Thread 5 | Spoiler Free! | Mumsnet

Going back to Fiona accusing Rachel of lying about Amanda sharing her secret - why didn’t anyone pick up on that it must have been true otherwise how would Rachel have known Amanda had been a police officer? 🤔

Questioning the logistics of the faithfuls leaving the castle to question the Traitors.

So Stephen and rachel have to be no where to be seen in the castle whilst they are doing their church bit.
Matthew leaves to do his then comes back. Fine. Then Harriet leaves to do hers and comes back.
Do they not wonder where rachel is (and Stephen to a certain extent) and why she doesn’t leave to do hers (and talk to herself 😂) and come back. Unless they are all kept in individual holding pens whilst all of this is going on!

Editing & all happens in hotel?

Ha ! That was my description of Adam in my description of the Interchangeables

Adam - the one you say "who's he? every time the camera is on him. 😁 (unless his talking - having his distinct Essex accent).

I distinguish Matthew as i think he looks like trainee priest from the 80s - but seems like he's going to be noticeable now. Unless they just murder him for telling them what to do!! I feel like Rachel will only want to recruit someone when it's absolutely necessary to recruit. Then it'll be someone easy to manipulate or who will be banished soon anyway. So won't want to recruit now what I e there's two of them or recruit someone who tells them what to do.

Haha that made me laugh out loud! The perfect description of him 🤣

MadamCholetsbonnet · 10/01/2026 09:55

I can’t believe Fiona is only 62. I suspect she’s lying about her age. She is bonkers.

I don’t like Rachel either and will be cross if she wins.

Jessie will be murdered very soon, as will Harriet, unless they get lucky with the shields.

But none of the contestants knew at that point that Amanda was a police officer.

At the time they didn't know Amanda was a Police Officer i guess Rachel could have been making the whole thing up ( leads into but why....). I think the vote confirmed who they believed

Harriet certainly spoke to one of the interchangeable men about Rachel. Either the N Irish one with the jumpers or the sideburn-ed David Tennant I think, and said that there is a benefit to keeping possible traitors close.

It was Adam, the builder from Essex.

I didn’t watch uncloaked but I didn’t actually mind Fiona that much. I thought she made a very bad call with the Rachel and Amanda thing, but she was bang on to not trust Rachel (who I find unbearably smug). She should have pushed more on Rachel’s motivation for revealing it “I think Rachel is lying and she’s doing it to push attention onto the people Amanda suspected, Jade and Sam”. Jade, despite saying she was good at games and thinking about layers and motivations etc, didn’t seem to realise that that’s where Rachel’s revelation would go.

TrickySparkles · 10/01/2026 09:57

I think they all left the castle as normal then the traitors and the questioners returned for the confessional bit in the same was as they get the traitors back to the turret for the murder chat.

I quite liked fiona…at first! When she was the ST she seemed a decent player having a bit of fun not taking it too seriously. Then when revealed started to get a bit of an edge to her. I agree with the whole nosy neighbour in the village, don’t you know who I am vibes. She said she told white lies and her DH and DC said she did it too often. She clearly can’t help herself. She was awful on I clocked. Clearly lying and trying to act like she was just having fun with the whole game. She has a side to her!! She was raging about Amanda speaking to Rachel and not her. Didn’t for a second belief her on unclocked - clearly trying to lie to make herself look better. Same with the made up burner phone nonsense and the reasons for choosing the murder lists. She’s a compulsive liar. I think she has done a massive disservice to women 60+ acting the way she done. I get so annoyes when plewse claim they are giguvbf a voice to something and using that offensive “certain age” phrase. NO fiona woman of “a certain age” already have a voice and bloody good strong one. They don’t need a liar and a weak one to be their voice. I think she thought she could be a household name and get fame like Linda.

also I doubt Ed could go at her any harder (eg pushing in the skulls) as they’d get slated for it on mental health / bullying grounds. he can’t say she’s lying or didn’t contributed much but was clesrly thinking it.

It’s really annoying me how they seem to think that if the banished faithfuls had accused someone of being a traitor then that person is a traitor! It makes no sense.

Oh definitely! Sam did say a bit about it at the RT which was great but it's so infuriating that generally they take a banished or murdered players 'last words' as some kind of oracle. As if they had any idea what they were talking about, but just because they're gone they must have been leaving solid clues!

I guess that once someone is revealed as a faithful, even though it doesn’t mean they were correct, it means they weren’t a traitor with underlying motivations to lie. So you can take them saying “I think X is a traitor” at face value, rather than wondering “is this person saying that because they’re a traitor”.

Luciany · 10/01/2026 10:01

cloudtreecarpet · 10/01/2026 09:13

I'm getting myself confused about recruitment.

Do the traitors HAVE to recruit after a traitor banishment & can they choose to do it at any time?

They can choose not to recruit and murder someone instead. Unless there's just one of them and then they have to (which I don't like, I think it tips the balance in the traitors' favour).

I think they can only do it after a traitor is banished.

I want Rachel and Stephen to not recruit and really play it together until the end and split the money. Not sure it will happen though...

Fulmine · 10/01/2026 10:02

MrsLargeEmbodied · 10/01/2026 08:14

i am not sure i believed Fiona in uncloaked.
reece was very chatty though

She was blatantly lying about a lot of things. For instance, when she said she was genuinely trying during the skull-hunting challenge - we could all see that she obviously wasn't. Ditto in saying she believed Rachel in relation to Amanda confiding in her. I'm not at all convinced about the story of her asking for a burner phone in a shop, either.

I must say, if I knew her in RL I would be quite uncomfortable round about now.

Yeah, I guess so. But almost all the faithfuls are guessing so wrong it just seems idiotic to give their wild theories any more credence just because they've been murdered.

I suppose when you're in there you have to find something to cling to, and we don't see everything they do

Fiona has the energy of a MN mother in law who creates drama over Christmas every year

Haha that’s spot on!
The Mumsnet MIL who buys the DGC the big present for Christmas that you’ve already bought them, feeds the 2 month old baby chocolate behind your back and tells DH that she wishes he’d married his ex girlfriend. Just there to cause chaos 😈

Seasidewalker · 10/01/2026 10:05

Oddly from Instagram there seems to be a Fiona love in from the other Traitors (Rachel, Hugo etc.) saying how lovely she is 🤷‍♀️

Edited

If she had any sense she would have gone along with it, though, if only so as to deflect attention to Sam and Jessie. As it was, she drew all the attention to herself.

Interesting. Do they all know who won it now? Or is outcome only known by those in final?

I’m sure an ex player has mentioned discussing things in their WhatsApp group before, so I think they all know and are just very good at keeping schtum. They will have signed non-disclosure agreements of course.

Thewonderfuleveryday · 10/01/2026 10:11

I think Traitors will play out like big brother. Series 3 was the best then it went a bit weird and everyone "knew" how to play the game. Half waiting for a rich / poor side game next. At least they didn't have social media in those days, it was all Hello, Heat and workout DVD's.

PuppyMonkey · 10/01/2026 10:12

Roxy saying she was the most liked player when everyone was saying it was Jessie was cringe, who says that?!

This was indeed a laugh out loud moment in our house.

PistachioTiramisu · 10/01/2026 10:13

Fiona reminds me of a blinking owl somehow! And she looks like I imagined Umbridge in Harry Potter to look (I haven't seen the films).

CaveMum · 10/01/2026 10:15

We know that the winner doesn’t get paid until the show has aired - to prevent leaks to the press. I’d imagine that the players (and production team) know who ultimately won but those who are banished/murdered before won’t have seen how it all plays out, and of course none of them know what the edit will look like - there may be things that they think insignificant that the edit plays up or vice versa.

They will have all signed NDAs and let’s face it, where is the fun in telling people? It’s surely more fun to be part of the secret!
