The last thread filled up quickly! (2 weeks!) Shows Coronation Street is gaining popularity again. (It has improved quite a bit lately!)

R.I.P. Billy Mayhew.

Todd continues to be manipulated by Theo, Summer has done some stellar sobbing (that's brought me to tears!) and it seems there's no-one to help poor Todd.

Not much has been seen of The Driscolls for a while. after the tragedy around Corriedale, and Billy the vicar dying. (I'm sure they're about somewhere!)

Lisa (Swain) is being manipulated by Undead Becky now, (from prison) and she's threatening to 'take her down with her' if she doesn't have her back! Not sure Carla wants Lisa back anyway after Lisa slept with Becky!

Poor Debbie is all over the place, trying desperately to defend evil Carl who has stolen from her, cheated on Abi, and caused all kinds of destruction with a car, (twice - and both times he's got away with it!)

Shona and David's new baby is in hospital for a while after being born prematurely, and Shona's sister has appeared suddenly! I guess we'll learn more about her, and why she and Shona have not seen each other for some years.

Sorry if I've left anything out. I'm sure we'll all catch up soon.

I’ve been thinking exactly that for a few weeks! It doesn’t even match her hair colour.

Baddies always pop up just in time to hear things that they shouldn’t!

Poor Sam is being targeted now by the siren! She’ll probably doctor that homework somehow or Daniel will ask Sam where it is and he’ll get detention or something! She really is evil.

I've got a hairpiece like Bernie but it matches my hair (which is falling out so hence the hairpiece)

Sam seems remarkably bold considering he has not got real evidence.

It is interesting to see her clash wits with someone brighter than Will. It has got dull with him just believing every piece of nonsense she tells him. I could not help laughing when she nicked Sam's homework, I expect her plan will be something dastardly and absurd.

I don't find Megan vs Sam very believable (even in Corrie terms). Sam would tell another teacher. Not confront the older pupil and then have a Mexican stand off with the offender.

I suppose she has taken the homework to undermine Sam - he will insist he submitted it, he will look like a liar, and no one will believe anything he says. It's Daniel's fault, marking work in the pub with a pint, what a pro he is.

I don’t like Daniel much, he seems a bit smug and shouldn’t be marking the work in a pub.
I thought that she had called it off with him , but still hanging around! ( probably to keep her eye on gormless Will tbf)

Maybe Carl saw Theo enter undertakers and followed him in after George left to warn him off Debbie / confront him after the earlier row? They nearly came to blows previously didn’t they. Can’t think of any other reason Carl would be in there.

Megan was going to dump Daniel but backed out of it when they had a conversation (I can't remember what it was that changed her mind).

Knowing Sams character I found it believable.
He was the verbally very forward small kid annoying know it all who would talk AT adults, correcting them all the time inappropriately, so I find his challenges to her realistic, also his strong sense of what he deems right or wrong

I think they hinted at him being ND in his chess interactions with Roy previously?

Megan was hideously creepy, with her pretty made up butter wouldn't melt face but the venomous way she spoke to Sam

Daniel has to do his marking in the pub, it gives him more opportunity to let everyone know he is an English teacher then talk about books nobody else has read.

The Megan actress is very good, such a sweet innocent face but also very good at giving evil looks.

I know right. Someone (who shouldn't be there,) is always there to hear - and see - things they shouldn't be privy to in soap operas! It's almost funny! 😆 Two people (for example) are secretly chatting/plotting something/discussing some terribly private and secret information, and someone is always just around the corner listening. Every time. 😆

This post made me LOL! 😄 That would assume Theo had a soul! 😆 And yes he is good at self pity, and I think that's what we're seeing in him.

I do wonder what Carl is going to do with that information now. Hopefully, he and Theo kill each other!

Re: Megan's face, as I said earlier, I HATE that greasy, shiny faced look. I know it's based on Korean Glass Skin, and on Korean women it looks fine, but on many people it looks ridiculous. It just looks like they're sweating. 😓

Carl must have broken all kinds of records with the speed he apparently used to get to the gimmel. Perhaps he has had some coaching from Megan!
