The last thread filled up quickly! (2 weeks!) Shows Coronation Street is gaining popularity again. (It has improved quite a bit lately!)

R.I.P. Billy Mayhew.

Todd continues to be manipulated by Theo, Summer has done some stellar sobbing (that's brought me to tears!) and it seems there's no-one to help poor Todd.

Not much has been seen of The Driscolls for a while. after the tragedy around Corriedale, and Billy the vicar dying. (I'm sure they're about somewhere!)

Lisa (Swain) is being manipulated by Undead Becky now, (from prison) and she's threatening to 'take her down with her' if she doesn't have her back! Not sure Carla wants Lisa back anyway after Lisa slept with Becky!

Poor Debbie is all over the place, trying desperately to defend evil Carl who has stolen from her, cheated on Abi, and caused all kinds of destruction with a car, (twice - and both times he's got away with it!)

Shona and David's new baby is in hospital for a while after being born prematurely, and Shona's sister has appeared suddenly! I guess we'll learn more about her, and why she and Shona have not seen each other for some years.

Sorry if I've left anything out. I'm sure we'll all catch up soon.

It's in the genes! Shona can run a cafe, so it stands to reason her sister can too.

I remember Shona working in the cafe.All she seemed to do was pour tea while ear wigging conversations.
Now Jodie has got an instant job there.Really Roy, I did not know you were that desperate for staff.

Yes i thought that too, Sally is no stranger to lesbians, and must surely remember Sophie's (attempted) wedding.

Where are Sally’s daughters? I can’t remember the last time they were seen, must be years.

I think they are meant to both be abroad seperately. I vaguely remember Sophie going travelling.

Sophie is travelling in Asia and Rosie is a TV game show assistant in Japan 😂

Well Rosie should come back as Helen Flanagan is currently moaning that the ex is throwing her out the house and she’s broke!

New lad is deffo daddy of Slaggan Trainer’s baby (if she’s still pg I can’t keep up!) so sick already of Jodie why can’t we just have a couple of episodes with banter between old residents like we used to with no stupid unbelievable drama

I think it’s the down side to the half hour episodes - they are introducing new characters and end up too focused on them and then there is no time for the other residents within the time slot. They’ve introduced too many new characters at once ( the pub lot, Megan and Jodie) so they are all taking up the time. I don’t know what they are playing at.

I don't think it's the half hour episodes - think of two years ago with the never-ending Joel, DeeDee, Lauren, Roy mystery. And more recently last year Becky, Swain, Carla. Even characters you once liked (like DeeDee), you end up hating the sight of them. They introduce a new character/plot then cane it to death.

Hopefully Megan will come to a sticky end fairly soon, although that will mean a lot of screentime dedicated to 'guess the killer'.

Maybe Megan could hook up with James and they could set up a personal training company and bring up the baby together. Somewhere else.
Jodie could murder Carl and go to the women's prison near Max which is very far away.

I would love Rosie to come back - she was a great fun character (minus the John Stape stuff!)

I am surprised the girls as Sally always called them didn’t come back when Kevin has cancer. That would have been the perfect opportunity

Tim and Sally are fostering those two girls ( can’t recall names ) but since Christmas and the tree incident they haven’t been seen!
Tim looks a bit of a misery , is he always like that ?

Bit weird that they don’t bring back known characters like Sally’s ‘girls’ - yet bring in two completely new characters to be Sally’s new girls? Must be a reason somewhere.

No not at all, he's usually fairly cheery. He works in the cab office with Steve and there's bants.

We had a brief glimpse of a grooming storyline for Tim a few months ago, from when he was 14. I don't think you were watching back then? Maybe he's dwelling on it. We have all assumed that when it comes out about Megan Tim's storyline will be revisited.

I would love to see Rosie and Sophie working at Auntie Debbie's hotel. Sophie could flitter about officiously with her clipboard like she did at the garage and Rosie could swan around doing nothing in particular asides from gladhanding the rich customers

That would be so good! Would love that for them both!

I actually forgot that he is Rosie and Sophie’s Dad! I think of them as being Sally’s girls, not Kevin’s. He never mentions them.
