The last thread filled up quickly! (2 weeks!) Shows Coronation Street is gaining popularity again. (It has improved quite a bit lately!)

R.I.P. Billy Mayhew.

Todd continues to be manipulated by Theo, Summer has done some stellar sobbing (that's brought me to tears!) and it seems there's no-one to help poor Todd.

Not much has been seen of The Driscolls for a while. after the tragedy around Corriedale, and Billy the vicar dying. (I'm sure they're about somewhere!)

Lisa (Swain) is being manipulated by Undead Becky now, (from prison) and she's threatening to 'take her down with her' if she doesn't have her back! Not sure Carla wants Lisa back anyway after Lisa slept with Becky!

Poor Debbie is all over the place, trying desperately to defend evil Carl who has stolen from her, cheated on Abi, and caused all kinds of destruction with a car, (twice - and both times he's got away with it!)

Shona and David's new baby is in hospital for a while after being born prematurely, and Shona's sister has appeared suddenly! I guess we'll learn more about her, and why she and Shona have not seen each other for some years.

Sorry if I've left anything out. I'm sure we'll all catch up soon.

Shona's baby has been invented as a convenient storyline. She will soon be ignored like Frankeh.

Is Dr Harper going to reappear? I thought he would have been there for the emergency

I read that there are no plans to bring him back.

Yes it’s really weird. I’ve even googled it as well as read it elsewhere. Apparently it was just for them to pick the name Harper!

Why do the Platt's have Alf's painting on their side of the house?

I want to see where Audrey lives now. Is it just the garage space or have the extended into underworld? Do they share the kitchen or does she live on pot noodles?

I suppose Audrey owns the house so if she wants that photo there, it's there!

So within 6 minutes Jodie has found a group and is attending a meeting. And then the weird overlapping stories, was that supposed to indicate Jodie had stolen the other woman’s story? But we know she has an abuse story of her own, she was tied up by Emmerdale Graham.

Shona is very composed and unbothered about her premature baby I must say. Barely seems to give her a thought, it’s all “what about Jodie”.

I am more fed up of Will and Megan than I am of Ma Driscoll.

Have they just locked the new door on Audrey, taken her house money and pension and leaving her in there?

I think Jodie just stole the woman’s story to have a convincing cover to tell Shona because she knew she would have to say something after Kit told Shona that she had been tied up.

Im not convinced her story is necessarily an abuse one. My guess is she’s caught up in something criminal. But I don’t know.

At last, David was upset that Shona seems more concerned about her horrible sister than poor Harper !
I hope he finds out she is a fraud / dodgy or whatever the story is and kicks her into touch.

I laughed at Shona running down the cobbles after Kit, didn’t she have a c section less than 3 weeks ago?!

Shona said she slept with kit once! Was this before David ?

Shona has recovered amazingly from the crash, cesarian, and premature baby issues. Moving around happily, and such lovely glossy hair!

Yes I agree we don't know Jodie's story and she had to say something. It seemed to be some kind of abuse because she's scared, and she was tied up in the back of a van. Unless we assume she was the villain and Graham was saving someonelse from her. It's very hard to know if because Graham is Undead, like Becky!

Is Graham in emmerdale?

Perhaps she lied about lasagne and someone got very angry

@NCTDN yes Graham was in Emmerdale years ago (when I still watched) and died about 5 years ago. Only, like Becky, he didn't and he's back.

Also laughed at how Shona has recovered so amazingly from her c-section, and yes Jodie did steal that woman's story in the abuse group. As a pp said, she sure got in quick!

I also think Jodie is mixed up in some bad/dodgy stuff and is not fleeing an abusive partner.

Also, did anyone notice the factreh women in the pub saying 'we need extra money for finishing work early, as we are spending money in the pub!'

In Classic Corrie today - or it may have been yesterday, the exact same thing happened. Tony Gordon (who has a big order with the factreh,) let the workers go a few hours early, and they said the same thing... 'we need to be paid extra for finishing early, as we're spending money on booze in the pub.'

What an extraordinary co-incidence. Also, it looks like they're running out of ideas, as they're recycling lines from 18 years ago. 😆

I had to rewind and watch again to make sure I wasn't mistaken to see it was Shona running down the road after Kit. She must be superwoman.

Carla doesn’t look that in love with the miserable cop does she ! Maybe it’s more a case of having her house back and a bit of pressure from everyone else for her big announcement today , maybe better the devil you know ?

Carla and Lisa just lack any chemistry at all. Unlike Carla and Peter when they were together.

I don't think Carla looks convinced about anything to be fair.

Mostly due to her permanently surprised eyebrows.

It was clever how the two stories were interwoven. Jodie is probably in trouble with drug dealers or loan sharks tbh.
