iplayer had Andrew Castle commentating for the balcony scene. Agree it was poor from the beeb not to extend coverage on the main channel til the very end when you see the player go out of shot. Couldn't believe they did that (Claire Balding knew also hence her saying it would be shown later) but luckily enough had iplayer on so was able to switch over to the other channel.
The standard of the men's final was top notch. Well into double figures in wow moments. So pleased Sinner won it given how close he came at the French. There is absolutely nothing between them. It's a rivalry set for the next 7/8 years.
It needed a good mens final as that yesterday was a joke. Swiatek is elite, but she needs an elite rival, and there just isn't anyone else that has her class in the women's game. She had a poor 13 months resulting in her ranking of 8, but can see her getting better now she has the big one under her belt. It should free her up, and she should be looking at reaching 10 slams in no time.
