Actually roaring at En Vogue being described as modern day Spice Girls! Inspo for Destiny’s Child, more like. “Free Your Mind” is a stone cold classic!

I’m sure it’s just my age, but the older acts really seem to be killing it so far - Shed Seven, En Vogue, Franz Ferdinand, Biffy Clyro and Busta Rhymes have all been great.

This

Woah, the entire audience for Anohni and the johnsons are still, you can hear a pin drop.. just transfixed by his voice, and his lyrics, its extraprdinary

Loved Alanis, En Vogue, Blossoms, Lewis and CMAT. Shed Seven were so good I stopped work for a bit earlier!
Jo Whiley is indeed iconic, and she’s a world class authority on music who doesn’t get enough credit for her contribution IMHO.
Looking forward to Self Esteem, Weezer, and hopefully Pulp. Enjoying the Robbie and annual Dave Grohl rumours. Someone’s got to bring out a surprise guest surely?!
I’ve got friends there, as have the kids, so we’re enjoying their updates too.

Hopefully no Dave Grohl. He went way down in my estimation for slagging off Taylor Swift during her Eras tour and a grown man with hisnown career shouldn't feel the need to shitnon anyone else, much less a younger woman at the height of her career. It just peak pig IMO and he should do better.

Fuck.. HER voice!!

I've seen The 1975 live at a concert and they were so much better. This is not a Glastonbury headline performance!

Yep same here, I'm not a fan of the recent stuff but the Chocolate/Sex/Robbers era was great.

Tonight has not been great.

StevieCandlewick · 27/06/2025 23:27

You're taking Matty Healy way too seriously 😂 He's a pop star, not your kid's geography teacher!

Wolfpinkola · 27/06/2025 23:28

Enjoyed Wet Leg!!

CremeDiplomat · 27/06/2025 23:29

Osees were amazing

Tbf he takes himself pretty seriously...

Fuck.. HER voice!!

Oh dear, a thousand Hail Mulvaneys in the Holy Month of Pride should rectify.

That acoustic song was the most sincere MH's been so far. Not a fan of all the overblown irony, he seems to be putting up loads of walls so it makes him not the most endearing performer.

He doesn’t

Jellykat · 27/06/2025 23:33

Right im off to bed, my Wifis buggering around with my iplayer, and its doing my head in.

See you for more musical thrills on the morrow!

I'm enjoying the comments about bands and artists I have never heard of. I shall seek them out tomorrow on iPlayer. Will they be on BBC Sounds as well?

Tubs11 · 27/06/2025 23:41

It's gnawing at me that this guy is not drinking the pint, what a waste!

Cherrytree86 · 27/06/2025 23:44

All the coral stuff in the ANOHNI and the Johnsons set is getting a bit tiresome now

Medee · 27/06/2025 23:45

Self Esteem was awesome. Lasted 3 mins of the 1975. Currently enjoying Four Tet. Wet Leg earlier were good. Going to seek out Busta and Alanis.

OneMintWasp · 27/06/2025 23:45

I actually think he has a great voice and seems to be quite sincere as the nights gone on. He was shaking at first and I thought he was either high or absolutely smashed but either its worn off or it was nerves. As the shows gone on I've warmed to him! Still Biffy and Snowpatrol for me though. And Self Esteem!

RebeccaDecember · 27/06/2025 23:50

Has anyone found Shed 7’s set anywhere, can’t see it on iPlayer?

BurntBroccoli · 27/06/2025 23:50

Wolfpinkola · 27/06/2025 23:28

Enjoyed Wet Leg!!

They are!
Totally going to headline in a couple of years!
I love the fact that the lead singer (Rhian) is the total antithesis of today’s plastic surgery perfection!
Underarm hair is extremely sexy!

Yeah I think he has a great voice too. Nice tone and quite unique, very clear. Whereas Lewis capaldi I find is too shouty and belting it out.

HumbleWarrior · 27/06/2025 23:53

Anyone still with The 1975? They're making up for wasting the first hour and twenty minutes of their set

Plasticwaste · 27/06/2025 23:53

Yes, he's got much stronger as he's gone on. Must have been quite nervous at the start (no wonder tbf).

Plasticwaste · 27/06/2025 23:54

This is my favourite song of theirs 😀
