A fair chunk of the music I've discovered over the last 5-10 years had been through watching Glastonbury on the BBC. Interpol, Self Esteem, Jon Hopkins, Rina Sawayama, Phoebe Bridgers, NewDad, Ben Howard, Bat For Lashes...

Jellykat · 27/06/2025 19:56

Very impressed how amazingly spot on AMs voice still is live!

I couldve gone to work there Delta, but like you i love flicking through the acts.. couldnt do that if i was there!. plus more to the point, i do like a decent toilet at my age Grin

Definitely. I'm sat on a comfy sofa with a nearby fridge, a clean loo and a proper bed to fall in to later. I've done camping at festivals but this is better.

Jellykat · 27/06/2025 19:59

Agree re. Self Esteem Howard, i'd never heard of her until i saw her with colanders over her boobs at Glasto.. shes amazing!

Currently watching Wunderhorse. They're pretty good. Not sure they're good enough for me to add on Spotify but I can understand why there's a load of people in the audience singing along.

the80sweregreat · 27/06/2025 20:07

Pink pantheress ! She has beautiful hair

HowardTJMoon · 27/06/2025 20:11

@Jellykat yes! What a performance! She's on again in an hour or so but this time on the Park stage rather than the John Peel Woodsies and I hope she's as good this time as she was then.

I'm up for that, will track her down!

Others i'm looking forward to are en vogue, The Prodigy (although of course it wont be the same without Keith Sad), Scissor sisters amongst others...

Really enjoyed English teacher and then caught up on Lewis Capaldi which was definitely emotional! I have been offered free tickets to see AM next week so then I watched her to check they were worth it, I am going to take the offer up! Also enjoyed the bit of Franz Ferdinand I caught and Blossoms. Not a 1975 but looking forward to Loyle Carner later, I had his new record delivered this week but not had chance to give it a listen yet.

femininomenon · 27/06/2025 20:25

I’ve seen a few clips of Lorde which was an incredible crowd and atmosphere for 11.30am!

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 27/06/2025 20:26

Lorde was a great watch. Wunderhorse have been good aswell

Busta rhymes for me next

RebeccaDecember · 27/06/2025 20:26

Alanis is brilliant. Jagged Little Pill is part of the soundtrack to my youth, I still think she oozes cool.

Also love Blossoms and Supergrass… Supergrass really should have been higher up the bill! Gaz Coombes is a proper gem.

Mikart · 27/06/2025 20:28

Loved Blossoms, Jaden Ngonda, Gracie Adams, CMAT and Franz Ferdinand

Weepixie · 27/06/2025 20:28

I have a chance to see Rod Stewart in December. Should I go even for old times sake?

afaloren · 27/06/2025 20:30

I’ve watched Lorde, Myles Smith, MCAT (never heard of her and absolutely LOVED it), Lewis Capaldi (I bawled), En Vogue and Alanis Morrisette. All brilliant in their own ways.

Now about to watch Busta Rhymes.

Mikart · 27/06/2025 20:31

Oh and Wet Leg!!

the80sweregreat · 27/06/2025 20:31

Alannis M in her trendy trainers reminded me of those u tube videos I follow along to to try and ‘ trim my waist ‘ which doesn’t seem to work.

the80sweregreat · 27/06/2025 20:32

Wunderhorse were different!

Jellykat · 27/06/2025 20:34

I've just done a bit of Wet leg @Mikart , i do rate them..

Sooo much to watch!!

Just put Alanis on and she sounds fantastic. I was born in 1990 so probably a bit too young for her apart from knowing Ironic.

I could have worked there too, several times, but couldn't get the amount of time off from my day job at the time. I think I'd prefer to experience it as a punter anyway!

tinyspiny · 27/06/2025 20:36

We’ve enjoyed Shed Seven , Lewis Capaldi , En Vogue and the Blossoms . Watched a bit of CMAT ( I think) but she’s not for me and then she turned up in the middle of the Blossoms . We started watching A M but didn’t get into it and the atmosphere seemed a bit flat.

Jellykat · 27/06/2025 20:36

Hiya @the80sweregreat 😃good to see ya!

Fibrous · 27/06/2025 20:38

CMAT is the best so far, I think. I can definitely see her headlining when it comes back in a couple of years if she carries on this trajectory. Such a brilliant performer.

I watched Glass Beams in the bath earlier and it was the perfect setting!

YorkshireFelix · 27/06/2025 20:39

Actually turns out I know way more Alanis songs than I realised 😅
