Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

I quite enjoyed tonight’s episode - more than the rest of the week anyway!
It seemed more natural and characters were behaving normally. Except Peter who is still an idiot.

George just keeps repeating the same mistakes. Elaine can’t stay with him after this. I assume that is why the Vic is up for sale.

I realised tonight who Elaine reminds me of. For those old enough to remember original Bewitched, Endora

It’s a shame that Steve McFadden doesn’t go to these awards as he deserves a standing ovation!

the80sweregreat · 05/06/2025 21:36

I think that we all predicted a Cindy affair after she first appeared , but I guess if she is off on tour , it won’t happen for a while.
I wonder how they will write her out ? Or who will run the Albert ? ( Gina ?)

storminabuttercup · 06/06/2025 06:58

Watched the soap awards last night and it reminded me we’ve not seen vinny for months

Lillia accepting the award for Lacey was sweet she looked so proud. It’s hard to believe they aren’t related in real life the casting is spot on

the80sweregreat · 06/06/2025 07:19

I don’t watch Corrie, but it really missed out last night.
Although they do tend to rotate ‘ best soap ‘ I think !

storminabuttercup · 06/06/2025 07:50

Scrap my last comment just watching last nights and there’s vinny

Giantjoelguesser · 06/06/2025 19:40

I'm just catching up on this week's episodes, currently watching Tuesdays. I don't understand the limo story, surely Kat could buy a limo from anywhere? and not pay an over inflated price

the80sweregreat · 06/06/2025 20:43

The limo story was so they could do a fake photo shoot / wedding. I feel it was really shoe horned in and didn’t make any real sense to be honest. Maybe so she could team up with Harvest ( by default) and then jeans involved isn’t she! A storyline best not to think about too much! Lol

Eastie77Returns · 06/06/2025 20:43

I didn’t really understand the Limo SL either and why Kat would be so keen to buy a clapped out Limo that she had damaged only the day before. And how did Harvey find his share of the money so quickly. Don’t get me started on Phil just handing over the divorce settlement money in cash - ridiculous. They didn’t have any kids together and were only married for a few months. A quick call to Ritchie would have sorted Kat out.

No-one’s financial situation makes sense anyway. Kojo gets a flat..how?! He has been living on what must be an expired tourist visa. Most Landlords require a minimum salary that he definitely wouldn’t be getting at the garage, bank statements showing income over the last year etc. Ian just flying off to Australia for no reason, leaving the business unattended (does Peter work at the Pie shops or still work for Junior?).

the80sweregreat · 06/06/2025 20:44

Harvey , not harvest ! Been watching Clarksons farm today !!

the80sweregreat · 06/06/2025 20:46

Harvey ( harvest !) asked Kathy for money. She ( wisely ) declined and suddenly he had money for this fake wedding ? It was so confluted.

the80sweregreat · 06/06/2025 20:47

Pe tah runs the pie shop , which must have mouldy pies in it because nobody goes in it anymore

Yes to all of this!

the80sweregreat · 06/06/2025 21:43

Yeah , I rolled my eyes at Kojo’s flat too ( bless him)
Rent in London is huge , who is the guarantor ? George? How can he afford it ?
It is the so unrealistic. ( I know EE is, but come on)

I think Kathy said she could spare "a few bob" but he was still short of a significant amount. The actual cost of the limo was never mentioned.

Also Kathy must have been running the Albert at a loss since all the staff have not been paid for a month. Cindy has only had the bar for a few days so why didn't they chase Kathy for their wages weeks ago??

I think I'm having a slow week because I also genuinely couldn't follow or understand why Harvest (love it) is paying for the wedding. Or he is just paying for the photo shoot? And at one point Kat told Kim to make the joint stag/hen do as big as possible so they could fleece Kathy of as much money as possible so it seems she is also paying..? So confusing!!

the80sweregreat · 06/06/2025 21:51

Why is the wedding / photos fake ?
Why are any of them doing this with a limo Kat said was an ‘old rust heap ? ‘ who is paying and why ?
where did they get black wigs and leopard print from at such short notice ?
it’s a mystery

JessyCarr · 06/06/2025 23:46

Here’s what I think happened:

Chris Clenshaw: I want to make something big happen on Friday 13th June - my last episode. Sorry for the rush.
Writing Team: But in EE nothing big is allowed to happen unless it is Christmas, New Year, an anniversary or a wedding.
CC: Make it a wedding then.
Team: Whose wedding? We have no happy unmarried couples!
CC: Kat and Alfie? Obviously you need to get Kat divorced from Phil and engaged to Alfie quick sharp.
Team: Okayyyy. But then you need 29 days’ notice for a civil wedding.
CC: [Sighing] OK. Fake wedding on some pretext or other. Friday 13th. Make it work!

Brilliant 👏

the80sweregreat · 07/06/2025 05:17

Jessy, spot on ! (I didn’t think about the logistics of an actual wedding , so let’s have a fake one instead! )
Most of K and A’s life has been a farce this isn’t much different tbh!

Omg hard agree 😄🙌

All the plots in the last few weeks have the tang of ‘we need to make this plot happen’ without any thought being put into how it happens, or the fact it is ludicrous.

For me, thats how all of Chris clenshaw's plots have been during his tenure

Shellingbynight · 07/06/2025 10:28

I thought Chris C did a good job, I have really enjoyed EastEnders the last few years despite a few wonky bits like Whitney's exit. But it has noticeably fallen apart in the past couple of months, and although CC is credited till next week he stepped down in February and Ben W doesn't assume control till the 16th so I assume it is a case of 'no one in charge'.

Giantjoelguesser · 07/06/2025 10:40

What is happening on the 13th June, that required a wedding or event?
It's been chaos, no producer, actors leaving, actors on holiday or filming other projects and strange scripts.

Shellingbynight · 07/06/2025 11:05

13 June is the last credited episode for Chris Clenshaw (although he actually stepped down in Feb after the 40th). I doubt he would want his name associated with any of the nonsense currently happening!
