No, it's the one on ITV.

Dear Zachary
Irene's Ghost (not sure if this one is currently available on screens, I saw it at a film festival. Really excellent and extremely moving)

Just watched Gold and Greed on Netflix which is new and really enjoyed it. About a real life fairly recent treasure hunt where people went crackers after an eccentric guy hid some gold and left clues as to the location. Very interesting twist at the end!

Just watching Gone Girls on Netflix. The judicial system in the US is unbelievably corrupt

I keep starting this one and getting interrupted by people talking to me. I need to dedicate some home alone time to it.

Not gripping, but warm and funny is Alien on Stage, about a group of Dorset bus drivers who, in a change from doing their usual social club panto, decide to do a stage version of Alien. Which they then transfer to the West End. Grin

Confessions of a Teenage Fraudster, on BBC iPlayer. It’s a bonkers story, with a lot of similarities to the film Catch Me if You Can, if you’ve ever seen that.

I'm watching Bad Influence: the dark side of Kidfluencing on Netflix right now. It's pretty good. I had no idea this went on! I hate social media!

Chocoholicnightmare · 10/04/2025 10:53

I also recommend 'American murder, the family next door'- couldn't stop watching it. All live footage and real messages. It was gripping. Also Gabi Petito- a really strong story.

GingerRuby · 10/04/2025 10:56

The Last Mountain and The Alpinist, both about mountaineering, both I plater.
Another vote for the Kursk documentary, so desperately sad, could not stop watching.
The Jinx, there are 2 series, unbelievable, saw it on Sky

I know right, so awful. The other mothers are money and fame hungry and are now whinging on Netflix for yet more cash

That sounds hilarious @IBloodyLoveMyBlanket

It’s really warm lovely humour, such an eccentric but great story, you’re really rooting for all of the drivers. It’s great.

The Aviici documentary is really moving. It really stayed with me and I’ve thought about it often.

CountryQueen · 12/04/2025 16:52

Watching Bad Influence now, those parents are so passive! The channel was literally named after Piper. Of course they were getting money for it!

Yes. It’s so moving. Yet another example of a talented young person becoming a commodity. There is something so vulnerable about him.
