I really liked the Churchill documentary on Netflix

I just watched Con Mum on Netflix. It's really good and eye opening.

I absolutely love “The Staircase”. I watch it in disbelief every few years.

I’ll have to try again with this one. I watched an episode and couldn’t get into it.

The Deepest Breath 2023 Netflix - utterly compelling about champion freediver Alessia Zecchini.

Oh, it’s so good. Maybe you couldn’t get into it as the main bloke, Michael Peterson seems so artificial that there seems something faux about the documentary itself. But that’s who he is and how he is. It’s one hell of a story.

I watched this yesterday and found it all a bit… actually I didn’t know how to feel actually.
Mostly I thought everyone around her was so money hungry. I did feel sorry for her son because I can’t imagine not having known my mum for my whole life and how that must have felt to finally have that much wanted contact. But honestly, no one seemed to have applied any critical thinking to the situation at all.

I didn’t like the Staircase. So clear cut that it’s dull.

I’ve just watched Dave not coming back. Very sad story but it was almost always going to end that way with the mad dives.

Remind me who the other is? His first wife?

I liked watching Peterson in a case study type way, such an odd character and his children standing by him was odd too.

From memory I think it was a family friend or neighbour?
I watched the first 5/6 or so episodes of the doc and gave up as I found it very slow and quite tedious. I’ve forgotten so much of it now but at the same time kind of want to finish it but think I’d have to go back and rewatch the first ones again to remind me and I don’t think I have it in me 😂

I second Con Mum too. I won't do any spoilers but it is amazing how people fall for scams. I think I am just too mean with money for that to happen to me.
