Ruby Franke on Disney plus? Oh my god it was horrific what she put those kids through.

Also ‘Anatomy of Lies’- jaw dropping!

CraicBird · 18/03/2025 16:57

Do you watch True Crime? Plenty on Disney+ including The Beauty Queen Killer which I’ve just finished- it was good.

Blondiebeachbabe · 18/03/2025 17:38

Oh wow, thanks everyone. Off to Google these ones. I'm half way through Adolesence.

If anyone wants a good one to watch - "Tell me who I am" is jaw dropping!

I watched it on Sky, but I think it's on Netflix now.

Adolescence on Netflix

Not a documentary.

Last Breath - the original documentary.
Three identical Strangers
Man on Wire

Lucan (about the fugitive Lord Lucan, missing since 1974). BBC iPlayer, 3 part documentary.

Mysa74 · 18/03/2025 17:56

Micheal Mosley's BBC programme "Pain, pus and poison; the search for modern medicines" it's a fascinating 3 part documentary. There's one episode for each part of the title. The bits about chemotherapy, small pox and the development of penicillin were especially fascinating.
Edited to add the rest of the title.

The Rescue on iplayer...documentary about the rescue of the Thai boys trapped in that cave system in 2012. Can highly recommend!

My Wife, My Abuser
Apple Cider Vinegar

thenightsky · 18/03/2025 18:17

I was going to say Apple Cider Vinegar, but is a docu-drama loosely based on a real life situation.

TheChosenTwo · 18/03/2025 18:21

Glad I clicked on this thread, I’m home alone for the evening and am planning an hour of reading and the rest of the night it’s tv time!

CheesecakeOnTheLanai · 18/03/2025 18:26

The Woman Who Wasn't There - about a woman who pretended to be a 9/11 survivor, made up an entire back story, became the president of a survivor's organisation and was eventually exposed. It's utterly bizarre.

Arcticrival · 18/03/2025 18:31

Not a doc but based on true events:

Unbelievable -Netflix

Janedoe82 · 18/03/2025 18:39

Once upon a time in Northern Ireland- particularly the ‘so many broken hearts’ episode.

Janedoe82 · 18/03/2025 18:39

It is on I player

The Belle Gibson documentaries are called Instagram's Worst Con Artist on ITVX and Bad Influencer: The Great Insta Con on iPlayer.
