Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

The acting at the reception desk at the hospital was abysmal from everyone involved.

Bluesandwhites · 19/03/2025 22:45

Bungalow Billy is an absolute horror. He's a thick bully and his character should have been written out. Honey told her prize catch of a husband, the runt of the Mitchells, " Phil's breakdown wasn't your fault, none of this is your fault". Wrong, he was vile to Phil and shut him out of the family events, as if he could take over as gangster number one.
Why is it that EE couples often end up back with their ex? Pat and Frank, Denise and Jack, Honey and Phil, Ian and Cindy.

Just catching up. I’m struggling to work out what Ravi does for Nicola and what her role is. She has a contact who supplies drugs and what is Ravi’s job? To move the drugs to the dealers? I recall her telling him that she answers to “higher people”. Do the rest of the Nu Mitchell’s know about her dealings because Harry didn’t question it when she panicked and told him he had bought from a potentially dodgy batch so presumably he is aware she moves drugs…

Jumpers definately knows that Nic is involved in dealing. Harry was prob too out of it to understand what was going on really

storminabuttercup · 20/03/2025 06:45

I’m a prude but the innuendos with Nic and Jumpers has been cringe this week, plus them shagging in the living room with at least Harry upstairs (no Idea where Barney was) then her dropping the blanket in front of a bemused junior made me wince

Jumpers doesn’t trust her and he’s still going to go ahead with the development where Shireens body will either be found or not

Linda was wonderful once again last night I am hoping she will get him to contact his wife as EE will undoubtedly stuff this story up if he stays.

Lexi was being rather challenging but the poor lass has had a really crappy time, her mum died, her dads in prison, granny patsy has disappeared, Jay has been awol this last few weeks (where was he last night?) granny kathy is too busy with her affair now her grandads no where to be seen and they weren’t being honest with her. Plus she’s what 12/13 and no doubt going through loads of hormonal changes. I’d cut her some slack

i also wondered where the knights and Linda are getting their clothes cos I’m sure that coat she had on was a pre fire one

I’m glad Lily is pointing out how crap it is Stacey has gone off, it’s totally out of character for her to leave her kids which shows how stupid it was to write Martin out when Stacey needed to go off to give birth (I’m still cross)

the80sweregreat · 20/03/2025 06:46

I can’t be 100 percent sure, but when Harry showed up last year the fact that the missing ( presumed dead) ex girlfriend was also pregnant was mentioned too. It may have been changed since then , but this has come from somewhere although they do make things up on Facebook sometimes or rumours start ! 😆

storminabuttercup · 20/03/2025 06:46

Imagine I posted the above with basic grammar 🤣

the80sweregreat · 20/03/2025 06:59

The drug hierarchy on EE is a bit vague.
Nicola is able to control Ravi because of what he tried to do to Barney , plus he probably likes the extra money and wants to stay on her good side, but who the actual supplier is isn’t made entirely clear.
I find it depressing that it’s always drugs featured , nearly every drama has it as storyline or people are referred to as ‘ drug king pins ‘ and the like.
It is clearly rife in society and people like Nicola and Ravi are getting rich from it too.

the80sweregreat · 20/03/2025 07:05

Bungalow Billy ! 😆
love this

Bunionbabe · 20/03/2025 07:45

Short and squat with nothing up top.

Shellingbynight · 20/03/2025 08:12

@storminabuttercup I agree Nigel needs to leave soon otherwise they will stuff up the dementia storyline big time. He can no longer safely look after himself so someone’s going to have to.

Billy did exactly the wrong thing with Lexi, they tried to keep Lola’s illness from her so when they were lying about Phil of course she thought he was dying. Billy is a prize idiot. Honey was like his mum, standing behind nodding when he was apologising.

And I agree about the timing of Martin’s exit. They wanted their cake and eat it - the big love story with Stacey for the live, then she disappears and Ruby is left to organise the funeral and have mud slung at her by the locals because ‘she didn’t know Martin’. And still they have not told us where the money is coming from for the horse drawn hearse!

I don’t remember ever hearing Shireen was pregnant. If she was, they would all have been banging on about it this week for sure - especially her brother.

Bunionbabe · 20/03/2025 08:47

What's happening to the Vic? There's no mention of rebuilding or what the future holds for the community pub. I suppose there will be a grand reopening storyline out of the blue and it will be as though nothing happened. Big traumas like the Vic and what happened to Bianca get glossed over while we have endless TV time about funeral buffets and Nickers/Ted shags.

Southeastdweller · 20/03/2025 08:53

I thought today’s episode set in the mental health unit was generally strong, but I would have preferred it to have been an hour and thought some dialogue a little clichéd. Steve McFadden was as superb as ever and I loved the bit at the end when Phil and Nigel said they needed each other 😢

Shellingbynight · 20/03/2025 09:06

@Bunionbabe The Vic is apparently re-opening May and it will no doubt suddenly rise out of the ground without any previous signs of it being rebuilt. I'm very annoyed about Bianca's trauma being swept under the rug.

(Just remembered, Keith Allen said he'd been asked to be in EE before, they asked him to be Danny Dyer's dad but he couldn't commit for long enough.)

I agree with the poster who said Nicola and Teddy scenes were a bit much, I suppose it is show Nicola has no boundaries. She's verging on psychotic, I bet we don't know half of what she's done.

The scared ‘witness’ Jack found who was friends with Shireen told Penny that she was pregnant when she disappeared. Nicola referred to her other day when she told Asad “the witness has been discredited”. I remember the conversation with Penny as thought it was so stupid that Jack arranged to meet this witness, who was terrified of the Mitchell’s, in the Vic of all places.

Billy was a nasty thug when he arrived and is reverting to type. I think he has always been jealous of Phil’s status. The runt of the Mitchell pack indeed.

the80sweregreat · 20/03/2025 10:23

They have done it again .. made me cry!
The mental health nurse was great.

Shellingbynight · 20/03/2025 10:30

@Eastie77Returns thank you for that, I don't remember that scene. Presumably Harry and Asad don't know about it which is why no one mentions it. If she was pregnant she is absolutely bound to turn up again!

the80sweregreat · 20/03/2025 10:40

Nicola mentioned Felicity the other day and said she wasn’t a reliable person or something.
she seemed scared of them all.

Shellingbynight · 20/03/2025 11:14

I really should have taken account of the fact I zone out when the new Mitchells are on screen, sorry for the confusion!

Bluesandwhites · 20/03/2025 12:41

EE director and script writers should lock Keith Allen's character up as soon as he appears, in case the vamp of the Square, Kathy sees him ! Grin

the80sweregreat · 20/03/2025 12:49

Keith as Gaz did well today.
He always plays these type of characters quite well I think. Edgy.
I did wonder where Phil got the can of beer from.

Checkthemeaning · 20/03/2025 13:42

Steve McFadden is incredible in this episode! I guess he is RADA trained but it really shows. When he cries it makes me cry.

It was a blink and you’ll miss it scene. I cannot stand Penny so I mainly zoned out as well.

Anyway, I assume the pregnancy was mentioned because Shireen will turn up with the baby at some point. I doubt she’s dead dead. The hitman Benji was very unconvincing and I thought it strange that Nicola had to ask him where the body was. Surely she would have demanded proof Shireen was dead and asked where the body was buried at the time, not years later!

Shellingbynight · 20/03/2025 16:10

I agree @Eastie77Returns on all counts. For someone so ruthless, Nic is very sloppy. (And I can't stand Penny either.)

lazymum99 · 20/03/2025 18:33

Today’s episode was very moving. I might have got something in my eye! @the80sweregreat Phil was there on a voluntary basis so I suppose he could come and go and bought the beer when on a walk. Although I’m not sure how having a mixture of sectioned patients and ones wandering in and out would work in reality 🤷🏻‍♀️

storminabuttercup · 20/03/2025 19:53

Steve M really is a fantastic actor isn’t he?
