Avani isn’t my favourite character, but I really hope she isn’t about to be raped.

Maybe someone’s already said this, but I’m thinking she’ll get pregnant.

He is very keen on filming people (and watching porn) so I fear that is where they are going with him and Avani.

At least we didn't have to suffer the annoyance of seeing Nic talk Harry round. Let's hope he is on the way to the police station. I can't think of a good reason he wouldn't be but of course - he won't.

I don’t think avani will get pregnant they’ve done the teenage pregnancy thing with Lilly. I think they are going down the incel route we saw it introduced a bit with Tommy and Joel’s made some very telling comments

Joel is confident, good looking and doesn't fit the incel category as he isn't involuntarily celibate, he's just got a girlfriend. I see him more as coercive. He bullied Barney, he will also bully Avani but without seeming to, as he started to last night. When Barney fell over Joel said "I wish we'd filmed it".

I'd love to know what he did in Aus that Ross had to pay off. I assume drugs. I'm not sure Vicky knows what it was either.

The actor is good, the character can seem very charming but with a danger underneath it.

You could be right, but I’m getting vibes and the stuff he was saying was creepy as hell, guess we only have his word that he’s ‘experienced’ teenagers can’t half talk shit ….

Oh yes I agree, he is absolutely talking shit, no question😆
He's trying to make Avani think they are twin souls, when actually he just wants a shag and will then brag about it to his mates. He's bound to get either photos or film of her too.

Avani hates how Priya behaves but they are quite similar in some ways. Both have really bad judgment and act impulsively. Joel could tell she's vulnerable.

I watched this weeks ( but only used this thread to catch up with the previous three and didn't watch them . From the posts on here , I didn't miss much !)

The Thursday episode was tedious . Harry/Nic/ Jumpers just yelling for 30 minutes .

Avani is going to end up the 'star' of a homemade porn/revenge porn film , she mentioned losing her virginity to someone she felt a connection to , and it looks like Joel is going to step into that riole and he'll film her and upload ot wihout her knowledge or consent

Maybe that;s why the family had to leave Australia ?

My DD has a theory that Tommy has a major crush on Joel .
There was a scene where he winked at him and Tommys face lit up ..........

Tommy is an oddball. He reminds me of Janine as a child. She was vile especially to Pat. Not sure what to make of Joel. Why are these children (teens) never at school? It would be good to see them interacting in a different environment.

Next week's spoilers say that Vicky finds out the real reason they owe money and had to leave Aus. So I suppose it'll be Joel involved in drugs and illegal filming of girls. How old is he? Avani is 15.

I'm sure Joel is 15 , when he first arrived and tried to buy alcohol from the Minut Mart he said something like In Australia <blah blah blah> and Avani asked his age .

Wait till he finds out she co-owns the Minut Mart !
He'll have to get weasley little Nugget onside too .

The girls are mostly victims and the boys are just horrible with this new crowd of teens.
(Dont know why the writers bother when most youngsters don’t even watch this soap !)

In fact, the only teen I do like is Barney ! Which is amazing considering that he is Nicola’s son ..

I quite like Amy and Ricky, probably because they haven't been seen much lately!

The worst thing about the upcoming Avani disaster will be having to watch Priya have yet another meltdown, screeching and crying and making it all about her. I had got to like Priya but the focus of these storylines does her no favours.

I noticed that when they were all at the dinner table, the only one looking concerned about Avani was Suki.

I was really confused abut which school years some of the kids are supposed to be in, so as I am a saddo was bored I Googled.

I didn't realise that Avani and Nugget are in the same school year! This fact somehow passed me by 😄

I googled too, I am not very good at keeping track of child/teen ages!

Avani is 15 and Nugget is 16 (although AI thinks he's 15).

These children (teens) should be at school doing their GCSE's. This would make far more interesting viewing if they were in a school environment and having lives outside of the Square IMO.

I want Barney to get all 9s or whatever it is these days.
Although how he can revise properly with all that going on I’ve no idea !

Not a big age gap between Avani and Nugget then.

If they are in the same year group at school, it would have to be 11 months maximum eg. Nugget born in September and Avani born the following August.
