A TV version of the Danny Robins podcast.
Is anyone watching?

OP posts:
rockstarshoes · 14/02/2025 21:33

I'm finding tonight's quite scary!!

LunaNorth · 14/02/2025 21:43

It’s getting that way. Don’t like the breathing thing at all.

LunaNorth · 14/02/2025 21:45

Fucking hell…

LunaNorth · 14/02/2025 21:47

I don’t like this.

soupyspoon · 14/02/2025 21:58

I get that noise in my ears and hear my breathing and heartbeat, I thought everyone did until I read on here its called pulsating tinnitus or something

Norugratsatall · 14/02/2025 22:03

Dear lord.... this one has really freaked me out. And I don't scare easily.

ShortWide · 14/02/2025 22:04

😱😱😱 This is awful

LunaNorth · 14/02/2025 22:13

Is Bridget Riley wearing a bridesmaid dress?

fromthevault · 14/02/2025 22:21

Oh, that was quite a spooky one. Imagine being the new owner of Julian's house, getting a random phone call from the BBC asking if you've noticed anything odd going on in your home!

(Off topic but Danny has such a lovely warm smile, I really noticed it tonight.)

LunaNorth · 14/02/2025 22:22

*Christie, not Riley.

LunaNorth · 14/02/2025 22:23

I hope Julian has a lovely life now. He seems very gentle and had such a tough youth.

Yes I hope so too. One thing they didn't address was whether he categorically didn't have any incidences since he left the house. Assume not. He does seem more at peace.

CenotaphCorner · 14/02/2025 22:45

I don’t understand why we couldn’t know more about the convo between tonight’s guest and the current owners of the house that they had on that bench. Also when my mother passed in quite tragic circumstances and father came to stay I moved many items of furniture around in the house to accommodate him. To this day I cannot remember doing so vis a viz that chair that had moved and the photo albums perched on it in tonight’s show…

She was definitely going for the Victorian ghost died of consumption look.

re the breathing, we were laughing as I used to hear breathing in my old flat. Never bothered me, weirdly, and was independently heard by others I’d not mentioned it to, quite different to pulsatile tinnitus which I also periodically get, which is more a heartbeat sound “heard” internally.

MidnightBloom · 15/02/2025 00:21

My heart went out to Julian, such a sad life. I truly hope he now is at peace and has closure in his mind/life.

Tonight's episode was proper scary. I am team on the fence and can't work this one out. Maybe friends influenced by Julians stories? I feel a lot of information was missing from the story so we are searching in the dark. I didn't get the whole new people who live in the house refusing to be seen or her words repeated by Julian, why bother going on the episode then?

Cieran done some far reaching tonight though Grin

MrsFrumble · 15/02/2025 05:04

Okay, I listened to the post-mortem podcast but couldn’t watch the programme, and a detail that drove me mad was when they were describing the going back into the house after the exorcism and seeing blood on the walls, and no one had asked the vicar what happened!! As much as I love Uncanny, I do find sometimes they have these really obvious leads that are just left hanging.

suburburban · 15/02/2025 07:50

Program was scary, I haven't watched the aftershow, yet.

The house definitely needed some prayer and Christian exorcism

It seemed to start at his dgps house so it sounded like there was more too it

What about his Dad's sister's experience in another location

This was evil

I went to the same school in the 70 s and 80,s
Thrre were still some nuns that were teachers when I was there my head teacher waa a nun I'm not sure they wre all thought of fondly! they left in the 90,s when they closed the convent and chapel to build apartments, the orphanage was apparently closed in the early 60,s due to ill treatment of the kids .

So the ill treatment was still going on in the 60’s? That’s appalling.

I'd be pretty miffed if I unknowingly bought a haunted house, then discovered the previous owner knew all about it AND had sold his story to the BBC. I'd be having stern words with that Julian. 😁

RosieMilkJug · 15/02/2025 08:50

But the question “is your house haunted” doesn’t come up in the conveyancing.

suburburban · 15/02/2025 09:16

And perhaps it was connected to him rather than the house as it was also seen at his dgps and around the village

the80sweregreat · 15/02/2025 09:19

Has Julian had these experiences in his new home? I wanted Danny to ask him this question
I didn't watch the show afterwards , so he might have done then.

the80sweregreat · 15/02/2025 09:21
  • they do a companion show at ten investigating further , but I was just too tired to watch that one

Yes I found it frustrating tbh that Danny didn't question him as to whether he'd had more incidents since moving.

Maybe that was a road he didn't want to go down but it does leave loose ends from a viewing perspective.
