Anybody watching? I have questions!

• Why are they so cool about Liv getting married, she can't be older than 20?
• Surely her brother would have come back for the wedding?
• When Rose said she was missing 'the girls' I thought she meant children, but it sounds like they haven't had any yet?

Never liked Christie either!!

I think the only character that Hannah has true chemistry with is Nathan. When he discovered her affair with Christie, the devastation was palpable. I never believed her love for Christie as there seemed zero chemistry. I felt the same about Archie this time. There was no real chemistry from the actors, but I think the fact they had given Nathan a family with Kate meant that there was never going to be a reunion between him and Hannah.

I agree with a pp that to boil it all down to Hannah being scared to show her fifty something body as the reason she ran from Archie was a bit meh. Surely she should have said it was because she didn't want to have her heart broken again. That would have made more sense.

Having said all that, I did cheer when they got together!!!

My favourite part of the split is the relationship between the sisters. Makes me wish I had sisters, they are always there for each other.

Yes to this. I know its all make believe but I'd love to have such supportive relationships with my family members.

@MissMarplesNiece Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this! I'd like to think the three actresses are close in real life, it certainly feels genuine.

There was a scene where it was hanging on a door, I think. But yes I wanted to see Liv in it

Can't believe all the love for Nathan - he's a toothy drip who moons around after Hannah in a ridiculously adolescent lovelorn fashion crying at the drop of a hat and doesn't appear to give two shits about his actual partner and young children. He gives me the ick and I see zero chemistry between him and Hannah.

I don't mind Stephen Mangan in general, funnily enough.

I never really enjoy SM in things. Can’t decide if he’s a poor actor, in too much stuff I don’t like, or if I just don’t enjoy his style or appearance or something. I like him much better when I hear him being interviewed; he’s always very personable and funny.

It was when I saw him in those blue swimming trunks, I instantly took a liking to him.

I'm thinking about how inappropriate it was (it's a lazy Sat morning when I've got nothing better to do except think about daft tv programmes, lol) for Gael's father to invite his OW to the house at the time of his son's wedding, and for her to agree to turn up. Have they no morals, no sense of decency? Disgraceful behaviour.

I assumed the OW just showed up of her own accord.

Yes she just decided to show up, to put pressure on Alvaro to leave his wife. That said, given Alvaro proposed to her whilst still very much married, clearly neither of them have any sense of decency.

I cannot find the coat I love from the show so asked a question on here.

Fabulous. Thank you. Not that I can afford it but I was getting frustrated I could not find it!!

I loved the Split series but this special was trying to do too many things in too short a space of time and ended up a muddled unbelievable mess with too many gaping plot holes.

1. Gael IS Argentinian (from his Spanish) and I think his mother too, so feasibly he could have been raised in Argentina with roots in Spain but it’s just not explained at all! I feel like the writer and director just fancied a trip to Catalonia and a stay in a luxury finca…
2. As a single parent it drives me up the fecking wall when tv single parents swan around without their children! If Nina’s whole family is there who is looking after her 2 year old??
3. Since when is Nina a lesbian?? Also, she went from shagging her bosses gay husband to cheating on her current boyfriend with a woman in their bed. Does Nina have ANY redeeming qualities, because from her actions she’s basically a psychopath.
4. Why do they keep saying that Hannah and Nathan’s younger kids have left home? Two years ago they were no more than 15… and since when is “ travelling in Thailand” leaving home.
5. On what planet do middle class girls like Liv get married at 21? There’s no way either set of parents would support that.
6. What is Hannah’s secret formula and where can I buy it??
7. Also was very disappointed Liv didn’t wear the vintage lace.

I think you could also add the contrivance of the wedding being held at the last minute on a beach officiated by Anglican vicar! But i guess there were enough lawyers present to attest if it was legal or not.

Yes to all @PontiacFirebird's points, except that I have a memory of it being mentioned in one of the series that Nina had affairs with women as well as men.

Loved the series and also thought this spin off was absolutely terrible.
