Have missed a few episodes and am trying to catch up, not only on the tv but these threads. It's a lot to try to read/watch in one go 😬
One thing that's really confusing me is why does Gaston lie about pretty much everything? And what's the big deal about him having x number of relationships? I recall him saying at the beginning that he'd never had a serious relationship, or did I imagine that. (Chemo + meno brain fog is the worst). What's so bad about 16 relationships - why couldn't he just be honest about hat? Or is it really some kind of code for something out. So much weirdness from him. So many questions about this. Ditto Amy's face which seems to be getting fuller and puffier with exasperation at not only Gaston's lying but his cheesiness and terrible sexual innuendos.
Poly really needs therapy about so many things, particularly her neediness and constant need for affirmation. She also needs to wake up and realise that in this instance at least, the lack of being told she's beautiful etc is because Adam just does not fancy her or find her attractive. I also think that her lack of self-esteem is why she behaves the way she does, on all counts - and until she works on that, she's going to be doomed to repeat the same mistakes - both getting involved with men who aren't attracted to her and needing constant affirmation.
'The lights are on, but you're not home. Your mind is not your own' are lyrics that spring to mind whenever I see Nathan. Maybe that's the secret for a happy life? Either way, he's as happy as Larry and who would have thought he and Lacey would be the couple to make it. Not me, that's for certain. They're like a pair of school kids embarking on their first romance. It's kind of cute. Nauseating, but cute!
Not looking forward to Polly's return. She's vile. Hopefully we'll be spared Alex 🙏🏻
