I love a ridiculous Eastenders storyline, and having watched since the very first episode, God knows there has been a lot. But Kathy spilling to Nish, then Ooh I'm hard Suki doing the same, then all of them (where is Sharon IRL?) confessing is a whole new level of daftness. Plus Suki thinking that one night of sleeping with Nish would keep him quiet is ludicrous. Unless she hoped his heart would give out in the middle of it and finish him off!

Yes I agree it's another rubbish storyline.
I just feel the writers aren't connecting to their viewers and I can't see how these storylines will pull in new viewers.
Nish should have died a few weeks back instead of all this regurgitation.
At this point I'm thinking they need to get rid of all characters and start again, maybe a bomb for the 40th anniversary or everyone could move away with market being closed down

And that's another thing - the idea that the market will be closed down. It's as likely as the Vic closing down, so spare us the weeks of Save Our Market (are we not still busy with Save Our Sonia?)

It was inevitable that Suki and Eve would split up anyway as Suki never told her about the Six, and Eve would see it as a huge trust issue (Eve must now be the only person on the Square who doesn't know!) So there was no need to add in shagging Nish. And while I'm about it the idea Eve would conveniently stay with her mother who she hasn't spoken to for 20 years - is also ridiculous. They portray Nish as a master manipulator but actually he's just allowed to stride through huge plotholes.

I don't see the point of the market story other than to give Martin a story?

They're making Nish more evil as usual so that when he dies of natural causes on Thursday they're assuming that will be satisfying for us - soap justice. But some of us are past caring.

Most of the nish everything is ridiculous and far fetched and he doesn’t look in the slightest bit ill

I couldn't even watch the rest after nish walked in the Cathy's house and sent the text to Cathy ,as if it was from Suki ..
I was like ,for goodness sake ,why is that man still alive
And then ,why am I wasting my time watching

Honey has just had Janet ,and the it really showed the attitudes of the time .

I’m hoping Nish goes the way of Ranvir. It would be a kind of poetic justice.

Not seen today's one yet, but it sounds grim.
Next week is all about Reiss and Bianca , which sounds like it might be a bit exciting
EE used to be a bit realistic, but lately it's just not. The six story is boring people now I think.

There have been some good storylines the past few years, and I even (mostly) enjoyed the Six but it has been dragged out far too long and too unbelievably.

The Sonia-Reiss plot has completely lost momentum with them both offscreen for so long, and I didn't care about Sonia's imprisonment to begin with!

My guess is that Kellie Bright has been on one year contracts since she first appeared in December 2013 and they've been waiting all year to close the story by killing off Linda.

I see the Penny and Harry rinsing Jack story is revived next week. It also seems that Alfie and Kat are going to get back together.

Nah, I wasn't too bothered about Sonia either
She was an idiot for becoming involved with him in the first place

I did gasp a bit when I read today that the 'gruesome twosome ( Penny and Harry) get Jack to drive dodgy cars around ..
I mean, his asking for trouble there !

Yes there's a classic Eastenders Thread , I cannot link so I'll bump the thread .
I watched the episode where Peggy was throwing a party until Pat told her about the baby Petal/Janet having Downs Syndrome .
So they took down all the decorations . Billy and Honey go into the Vic and Billy was furious that they'd cancelled their party .

Shock horror how could you find fault with Sonia and not miss her or care about her storyline?! She gets on my tits too though.

It sounds like there isn't much to look forward to on EE for a while.
I managed about 3 minutes of today's episode which was a repeat of yesterday's with Nish & Suki, and then Kat yelling at her relatives in the Vic. I think Kat annoys me the most, failing to protect the twins and screaming at anyone who does (while insisting she's a good mother).

Kat is always on about ' I am a good mum ' and so on, but really she's as bad as the rest of them are! I'm sure that Arthur will be the same as Tommy is in around ten years time ( or Hope ) mostly because they have been ignored and Arthur's dad is dead and all the rest of it. How often do you see anyone doing positive parenting ? ! lol
( or actual parenting come to that !)
Freddie and Kojo are drawn to Jean because she understands them, but she was pretty awful with Stacey and Sean ( especially Stacey )

Peggy was pretty horrible about Janet wasn't she? I guess it was to hi light how people don't understand SEN or have certain prejudices against people, but I never saw that myself with anyone who had Down's syndrome where I lived ( there were a few neighbours who had children with downs / autism and most people were really supportive and this was the 70s!)
There was a centre around the corner to where I lived a few neighbours used to volunteer or work there with people of all disabilities. Maybe people just had more time to help out back then before having to have two working incomes became the norm, but it felt positive to me as a young child.

What a surprise Nish has over heard another conversation. His character has become a joke. Tonight's episode is rubbish, the only thing I can think is could this be leading to the 6 or 5 or is it 4 now? killing Nish tomorrow?

Was Sharon in today's one?

No, and that’s the second time she’s mysteriously disappeared. Hopefully all is well with Letitia Dean.

It's bizarre that Sharon is mysteriously absent from a lot of the Six drama. She had a lot of screentime during the trial/with Chrissie in jail, then disappeared again. Letitita was looking lovely at the soap awards a month ago so I doubt she's unwell.

Oh for goodness sake, now we have a public service announcement about pensions

Someone (maybe on here) said Tommy kills Jean, which would be so sad 😞
Kellie Bright is definitely leaving she's been all over the press. She has also been talking about Mick coming back, but I think in the context of she would like him to, rather than he is.

Bernie and Eve are back the week after next.
