Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

I am a tad confused over Ruby's son , Roman
Did he have liver problems ( autoimmune) and that was made worse by drinking the paracetamol or only now because he drunk the bottle of it ?

Yes I felt it confusing, yesterday I thought they implied the liver problem was a cover story (lie) and the real reason he was in hospital was due to an overdose. Today it's confirmed there is a liver (autoimmune) problem and a transplant is needed. The overdose is a separate issue.
I hope they can think of something other than sending Stacey to prison for her maternity leave. It feels like they are setting it up for her to be manipulated by Ruby

the80sweregreat · 21/11/2024 07:27

I agree that the writers should just let Stacey leave for mat leave by some other means. The Ruby / Stacey feud has run its course
It must be hard writing people out though.

Shellingbynight · 21/11/2024 08:13

I was looking forward to Ruby's return but this storyline is not the best. It feels very forced, lies and drama for the sake of it. If it was a pack of lies to get revenge on Jean, Martin and Stacey it would make sense. If not, it doesn't really.

catin8oots · 21/11/2024 08:35

Why do they never clear up the vic? Why do they never do a proper close down?

Southeastdweller · 21/11/2024 08:38

I was annoyed again at the lazy writing when Johnny said today that for the pre nup to be legally binding it should have been done earlier. But regardless of when they’re created, pre nups are never legally binding in the UK.

Lacey Turner does look pregnant in today’s episode! Martin’s character is so unpleasant.

the80sweregreat · 21/11/2024 10:56

I didn't know much about pre nups . Is it only any good if both sides stick to it ? What's the point if it's not legally binding though ?

Shellingbynight · 21/11/2024 12:18

Courts are increasingly accepting prenups. Does George not have a stake in the Vic though? Is it just co-owned between Linda and Elaine?

the80sweregreat · 21/11/2024 12:23

I thought that George paid half for the Vic from the Marbella bar they had in Spain.
He sold it on

the80sweregreat · 21/11/2024 12:29

Nice small scene with Linda and Elaine (for a change. )
You can see how vulnerable Elaine is and feels.
However, G is going to blow it by being set up by Elaine with Cindy as a honey trap .. oh dear
I am hoping that Linda will be there for her when it all goes wrong.

Shellingbynight · 21/11/2024 12:50

Yes I thought the same about George part-funding the Vic from the Marbella sale. If that's right, what is the point of a prenup, the ownership must be clear and she hasn't got anything but the Vic.Confused

the80sweregreat · 21/11/2024 13:41

They will probably re write history and say that George did something else with his Spanish Euros ! Or just forget it.
I feel It's just Elaine feeling vulnerable after speaking to Drew I think and who can blame her? G had kissed Cindy twice ( they said today ) and there is history there with the girls too.
She is far more glamorous than Elaine who has to work at her charm.
Anyway, it seems that Kojo spots Cindy and Junior together next week and Cindy ends up putting him in hospital accidentally. Poor man. Will he stay quiet? He'll Probably be up the corridor to Roman in Walford general.
Ruby isn't up for forgiveness is she ! Martin on the rampage now too. I didn't know you could live without a liver either. So much about anatomy I don't know or understand.

I think they can chop a bit of an adult liver to give to a child (obviously I'm not a medical professional Wink)

Shellingbynight · 21/11/2024 20:01

I see what you meant about livers 80s! What Martin would do is donate a lobe of his liver to the child, so he’d be left with most of his own liver.

Jean is being really annoying. Has Ruby had her teeth done since last time?

Elaine is ridiculous with her prenups and honey traps. As if she could trust Cindy! (Who predictably tells George about it.)

gingercat02 · 21/11/2024 20:47

Louisa Lytton had those terrible veneers last time, too. I don't think she is a great actress, which is a shame as I think Ruby could be a great character, but she just isn't.
The George and Elaine story is crap, I get her concerns, but setting him up with his ex-wife, who he has already snogged, is daft!
Peter and Lauren yawn

Fuck all. They can be used as a guide by a court but they aren't enforceable.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/11/2024 21:53

Caught up .

I am a fan of Drag , but not the RuPaul Drag Race type , they seem vicious .
Years ago DH and I went to see a Drag Act on holiday , at the end he sang while taking off his make-up then finallly swept off the gold cape to reveal a plain, rather short (without the heels) bloke dressed in trousers and shirt , singing this is really me

I did like Drew , I remember the 80s and the threat of HIV that was right in your face with those Don't Die of Ignorance Tombstone leaflets

If someone is going to die at Christmas it could be Martin going through the process of liver donation......?

Southeastdweller · 21/11/2024 22:03

I don’t think Martin will die because he’s been in it since almost the beginning plus there’s mileage with the custody story and him manipulating Ruby who we know is going to be in EE for a while.

Maybe Stacey will be a match but end up in a coma for her maternity leave?

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 06:59

Poor Stacey , her arch nemesis returns :(
She always seems pregnant in real life when Ruby is around too!

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 07:03

I thought I'd miss Linda if she is killed off, but honestly , after this week , I don't think I will now. They can bury the sippy cup too.
The younger kids might be better off with the others , although none of them are particularly stable really.

Shellingbynight · 22/11/2024 08:14

Martin said he’s a match so he’s going to do the liver transplant (the NHS works fast in Walford), and then schmooze Ruby into putting him on the birth certificate. I don’t really know why he thinks that means any court would give him permanent custody of a child he met yesterday. I also don't know why he thinks he could outwit Ruby. 😆

Martin is being vindictive and stupid and the whole situation feels so forced and overly dramatic, even for EE.

I feel so sorry for Linda. Elaine is self obsessed and I can see why Linda ran off with Mick so young!

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 09:40

If I were Martin I would ask for a DNA test before giving my liver nodes away ! Although maybe being a match means he is definitely the dad ? ( my ignorance of medicine related problems and solutions shows through again )
It's handy that Martin has shown up just as they needed a match though.
He can obviously afford the time off as well although I'm sure money won't be brought up or how he might need to claim benefits
Where is he planning to live with his boy as well ? Does he live with Zac and therefore Tommy ?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/11/2024 09:41

When all the Stags were in the cafe scoffing a fried breakfast (which I thought was a really nice touch , all bonding and yapping rather than the typical post-Stag punch up) it was quite surprising how many of them had missed out on their childs life or been pushed out .
Zac is a Weekend Dad after WhitWhit left
Phil was kept out of Albie/Louise/Raymond and Ben's lives
Alfie- Bert'n'Ernie and Cherry
Ian- Steven wasn't his he was duped , Peter was taken by Cindy ., he was duped over Bobby
Patrick- I cannot remember what happened with Dee if she was his child , but he was enstranged from Anthony and Paul...and Paul wasn't his
Billy thought that Freddie was his until Little Mo left , she said she couldn't let him do this
Howie though was left to care for Denzil when his wife left them
George - wasn;t part of Juniors life
Jack- suddenly had Ricky shoved through the door by Sam, and he didn't know Amy was his until Roxy dropped the Christmas Day Bombshell "Sean she's not your baby"
Mick didn't know he was Frankies dad but I think he knew from the start that he wasn't Annies

Is it the water there?
