Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

70s /
good call re the dads ! It was a nice touch and I agree that hardly any of the dads have a decent relationship with their many offspring ! No wonder they grow up like Tommy.
Billy laughing at Mr lister and Honey was funny , but in an amused way , not mocking him.
His held a torch for her for a long time and a funny little character.

Bunionbabe · 22/11/2024 09:50

Martin has fewer brain cells than one of his King Edwards. Why do all the men in EE demand custody of kids they didn't know they had until yesterday? Useless the lot of them. Ruby's teeth are a distraction imo, too big and too white. Is she supposed to be a raging psychopath? All of the current storylines are unbelievable and worse, boring.

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 10:02

Ruby won't put him on the birth certificate I bet.
She is much too savvy to fall for this
.. Unless he tells her he won't donate without it or something ( which is pretty nasty, but the kind of thing soap people do !)

I agree with this. Thanks to the pp who kindly listed the dads and children. Makes it easier to keep track of them.

Southeastdweller · 22/11/2024 10:41

If he can play the subtle manipulation long game and have the awareness Ruby's vulnerable, then Martin's plan is a good one, but this is a soap, so he'll slip up soon.

Thank you for the reminder that Ruby had veneers last time too. They seem more distracting this time!

Martin will gradually fall for Ruby, and/or Stacey will warn Ruby that Martin intends to try to take Roman (not that he’d succeed). Martin is a complete plank so it’ll all go tits up for him one way or another.

I'd like to see Ruby restored to her fortune and running rings round them all.

Eastie77Returns · 22/11/2024 13:15

I think Louie is the only child on the square who lives with his biological parents. It’s something of a miracle and so something is bound to happen to either Lauren or Peter. My money is on Lauren as surely Ian can’t lose another child. Albie and Raymond’s parents are present but Phil’s interest in them seems to wax and wane and both mothers spend more time at the Vic than with their boys.

Ruby was a much better actress last time but she is working with a dreadful script and a storyline that is insane even by EE’s standards.

Shellingbynight · 22/11/2024 13:27

Lauren barely says two words to Louie, she may as well be living somewhere else! I think L&P will split up, she doesn't really love Peter, he's just a placeholder till something better comes along. I just realised - it's Ian and Cindy all over again!

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 13:35

I sometimes lose track of where any of them live tbh! The dads are a disaster. I know that the mums go off too , but it's the dads that are rarely about for their many children then they wonder why they are like they are.
Stacey has three children with different dads.
You never see Ricky with Charli ( only for her birthday party once )
Doesn't seem as if Peter wants this new baby with Lauren either. Kathy was more excited and she rarely sees Louie as it is lol

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 13:36

Yes. Peter and Lauren are like Cindy and Ian.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/11/2024 14:18

I'm not convinced that Ruby is skint and living in a tiny flat and working in a supermarket .

When JohnnySausage tracked her down she was "in Essex" cannot remember where but decent bit of Essex.
If she has any sense she'll keep her wealth hidden otherwise Martin could be looking for his share especially if he does get parental responsibility , she could end up paying him CM.

Shellingbynight · 22/11/2024 15:43

I wondered about that too. She lied about everything else and hopefully she is also lying about losing her money - who could blame her, when she had money Stacey drained her bank account.

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 16:19

Johnny said Ruby lived In Chelmsford
Like most big towns in Essex there's the ' money parts ' and the outskirts are fairly normal where you could rent a place fairly easily. There are a few dodgy parts ( like anywhere else !)
Depends which part she can afford.
If she comes back to Walford , it would be a lot more to rent there of course.

Shellingbynight · 22/11/2024 16:48

Someone broke into Ruby's flat to get the birth certificate - didn't Sharon say she did it? That sounds unlikely but the entire storyline is ridiculous. Sharon (or whoever) must have seen whether it was swanky or impoverished. Although they didn't even seem to notice a child lived there as they bought the 'had him adopted' story.

She asked Phil to get evidence. So he probably paid one of the dodgy blokes he knows to do it for them!

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 16:55

Ruby said to Martin that ' they saw where I lived' and pulled a face. So I assumed it was a bit run down. She had a flat in Walford once that wasn't huge, but nicely done out. I think it was one of Jacks
She rolled up in a cab too , that would have cost a bomb. Coming out of the station would have made more sense from Chelmsford on the / bus / trains / tube. Which makes me doubt the 'no money ' bit.
(Unless she came from the hospital I suppose.
She took another Kats cab back to there too)
Why Roman isn't in hospital in
Chelmsford? None of it makes much sense !
lol

Eastie77Returns · 22/11/2024 17:26

Chelmsford is quite nice in places but the town centre is a bit sketchy. Or I might be confusing it with Colchester😂 Anyway I can picture Ruby in one of those large detached Essex houses m. I don’t think she’s skint. She’s Johnny Allen’s daughter, she knows how to scheme and lie to her own advantage. Anyone who has money or prospects is eventually brought low when they have anything to do with Albert Square so I don’t blame her tbh.

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 17:40

I can't recall what Ruby said, but she sort of hinted that Sharon had seen her place .. it was all a bit confusing tbh ( unless it was one of Phil's men and she thought that Sharon took the certificate?)
I also can see Ruby in a big old place in Great Baddow ( nice Chelmsford) with white and grey walls and ' love, live , life ' memorabilia type things everywhere and lots of grounds. A bit of a cliche there though

Shellingbynight · 22/11/2024 19:05

I'm confused too. I thought when Ruby accused Martin, Sharon interrupted saying 'It was me' but as @Meredusoleil says she probably meant she got someone to do it - i.e. a dodgy bloke Phil knows.

I agree re the cabs, not that impoverished! And Ruby isn't daft, she would have known that they could trace her via Kat Kabs. None of it makes sense unless it is part of a revenge plan.

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 19:13

Ruby isn't that hard up ( is my guess )
I can't see her filling shelves or on a till.
However, have to see what happens
Martin will probably have the liver nodes taken soon and Rubes and Ro will be living back on the square too. They can't stay away once they are back for more misery.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/11/2024 19:22

Ruby needs to move back as she's the new owner of Peggy's isn't she ? (Because we don't believe all the Nicola'n'Harry running it malarky )

Now the question is :Where will she live?

Who is living in the Taylor's old place ?
Who is downstairs ( in what was Ted's flat?)
Does Jack have a flat to rent ? If Penny is going and Lauren is pregnant will Lauren&Peter stay there with Louis and the baby ?
The flat that Nadine had , is that empty ?
Or she could move in with Reiss (as a lodger , short term) , Sonia is her Ex HD Ex wife after all.

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 19:25

70s ! lol
😆
It is a tangled web

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 19:39

I'd love Ruby to be in cahoots with Nicola.
Maybe we will never know who stole that certificate.. it is a 'plot hole ' that will never be filled in

Southeastdweller · 22/11/2024 21:30

I think Ruby’s telling the truth about living in Chelmsford and working in a supermarket because it provides a route for her to come back in the square as a resident, with someone taking pity on her. So either Stacey or Martin, at the house they both live in with a million kids. I know Stacey and Ruby get closer again next week.

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 22/11/2024 22:08

I hope it's not a certain supermarket in Chelmsford which is particularly grim ..
mind you , I don't like Ruby much , so maybe she deserves it ! Roman is sweet , so I hope he survives ; which he probably will.
