I skipped the Jean scenes today as thought oh I can't be arsed with the scammer.

Why on earth would Ruby go and complain to Martin about the birth certificate being missing and not stay with her son in hospital? Priorities!
How would she know its missing? I would have no clue for ours, they are in filing boxes in the cupboard?

Obviously Sharon left a blond hair behind at Ruby's place as a big clue to the whereabouts of Roman's missing certificate ! lol
I'd only know mine or the kids were missing if I actually needed it for something: maybe she had to show it as proof for some thing and found it gone ? Plus who did get it and know where to look ?
It is a weird storyline and Sharon could have just sent off for one I think ?

Today's episode doesn't sound good. The storylines have gone to pot recently.

And that reminds me, only on EastEnders would you break into someone's house for a birth certificate, surely Sharon/Johnny had enough information to find it online. And if she's been in Ruby's house surely it was obvious whether or not there was a child living there.

The thing with Drew feels ' bolted on ' and probably one reason E asks G for a pre nub ital agreement ( plus gives Johnny something to do again)
I still think that birdgate is on the back burner for cut

Bored of the Elaine and Drew scenes, bored of Jean and scammer.

I like Droopy Drew a lot. I didn't feel preached to and wished he could stay on! At least it was a bit of straight talking.
Elaine doing a pre nub is actually a good idea .. rare on EE

Peter was drunk hence him being ill and a bit out of it re the news!
I am bored of pregnancy storylines though, Whitney had the baby with Edwards syndrome and Dolly a year later , we had Lily fairly recently with invisible Charli and Anna's abortion only a few months ago.

I thought Ruby delivered some good home truths to Martin the other day. He was not a good husband to her and he and Stacey are not good parents. He likes the idea of faaamily and having lots of kids around him - maybe because most of his immediate family has passed away - but in reality he doesn’t seem to do a lot of parenting. I can’t fathom him taking on yet another kid.

Kim matching making Dee and Ravi next week apparently then results in Pryia making a play for Jack. I suppose in the end they’ll all just switch partners lol.

I'm also bored with the pregnancy storylines, not to mention the babies they didn't know they had and long lost family no one has ever mentioned before. In EE someone only has to have sex once and they're definitely pregnant if it's one of the men on the Square. Some of them only have to take their boots off near a woman (Phil).

I loved Drew Peacock. Get him as a permanent fixture on the square.

I'd love Drew to move in with Felix.
Can you imagine ? They could do a flamboyant show together, show the harder side of renting in your late 70s ( or however old he is) having another shot at life with a younger prodigy but without the safety net of a private pension to keep you going.
I know mumsnetters don't like drag and so on , but it's a profession for some men and must be hard. Would make a change from babies and affairs at least.

As usual I’ll say it’s only because it’s a soap, but Ruby was a savvy businesswoman from what I recall so it’s daft she’s lost all her money and now works in a supermarket. Her property and business little empire must have been worth millions in east London?

South, yep , disappointed they have made Ruby drab and hard up.
I know she lied and had Stacey put away , but she was sassy previously and run the club and her dad was loaded at one stage. A really good business woman.
However, I suppose a stint in jail hasn't helped and nobody to help with Roman and somehow she's lost all the money! Not sure how , but I can see why it's happened I suppose.

I hope Jack doesn't like Priya much as she is way too good for him
However, his been around the block , so he'll probably love the attention and want to make Dee jealous

They always do these reversals, rich people suddenly fall on hard times, poor people return moneyed up.

I wonder if Elaine styles herself as a drag queen in memory of her late husband. The talk between her and Drew did sound like a public service announcement, which is a shame as I liked Drew.

Martin is unbearable. Why bring Ruby back for this dross?

The scam is so ridiculous, but Jean is away with the fairies sometimes ( not always ) and not thinking straight. It is a boring storyline though and will end in tears of course :(

Ruby may be lying and has not lost her fortunes. She could also be behind the scam on Jean.
I liked the gp scene with Lauren, it highlighted how it can be with NHS. With assumptions being made (addiction) and not actually getting to the root cause. The gp dismissed her pain and she was sent away. Lauren was lucky to get such a quick appointment but ultimately it was useless.

Ruby could be behind the Jean scam! Good call there. Kind of thing she would do. Jean seems worried she's back ( which is understandable)
I can't see her in a supermarket with a child minder set up either tbh.
I did wonder if she gave Roman the medicine too ? .. she is unstable and they might be coming up with a Münchausen syndrome story or something like that ? Although I haven't seen anything about her future stories coming up

I can see Ruby running off with Jeans pension money! How she knew she had this money will be air brushed as coincidence, but I can see her behind this scam.

I wouldn’t mind the scam story if it was plausible but Jean has never been the brightest button in the box. Not many people would fall for that scam.
