Poor Bianca though

The kidnap stories in soaps aren’t engaging because of the lack of peril - I can’t recall anyone who’s been kidnapped that’s been physically hurt or traumatised or killed. And we know they won’t kill off a big character like Sonia. I guess this may run for another six weeks until Sonia maybe gets released at Christmas.

@Shellingbynight it's hilarious.
We all know B is one of the feistiest characters on the square yet we are expected to believe drippy Reiss somehow managed to overpower her AND her (inspired!) candlestick enough to shackle her with only a superficial bonk on the head.
I can just see @the80sweregreat 's fag packet plot -
"Bianca, with a candlestick, in a conveniently remotely located lock up..."

And as for Dumb, Dumber and Dumberer
(Jack, Callum and Martin) well, I have no words 😂

I think we know its going to reach a climax in 6 weeks.

Mainly because theres no want Reiss can imprison Bianca for six weeks with being killed himself and without boring the viewers to death with Bianca screaming at Reiss.

It would be very boring for Bianca to be in the lock up for 6 weeks.😫
But I guess him kidnapping her will be the way he's will be exposed, since every piece of evidence that he killed Debs seems to have been destroyed, and the police were incapable of finding that CCTV evidence themselves.

I'm surprised I find Harry attractive 😲

It sounds a bit like Cluedo now. Reiss kills (or stuns) Bianca in the lockup (rather than the parlour.

I appreciate @RedToothBrush that B makes stupid decisions due to her possible ADHD but does that really mean she’d willingly go with him to a lockup in the middle of nowhere. Reminds me of when Keanu went with Phil to middle of nowhere deserted garages or something.

I agree @NowNumber5 I can't imagine Reiss being able to overpower Bianca and her candlestick, which is presumably why that happened offscreen!

Bianca's behaviour isn't even particularly extreme really by EastEnders standards! She slept with Junior and kicked off about Reiss being a killer - she's right yet no one can see it so it's not surprising how angry it makes her.

The chit chat today between Harry and Penny was a bit much for 7.30 pm and there isn't that much chemistry there really either ! Same as with ' Kalfie ' and his problems! Might be a few questions asked by pre teens sometimes ( if any of that demographic watch it !)
Penny could do better, but she is also fixated on bringing down her dad , so H and his vests serve a purpose I suppose. His handy to know.
Kim floats around not doing much , is Pearl still at the posh private school ? For a mum of two and part owner of the salon etc she seems free as the air

I haven't seen any of the new Big Brother ones! I used to like it ' back in the day' although it went on for months.

Looked up this Marcello in big brother and thought it was 'arry !

The scene with Kat and Alfie and the fire extinguisher foam was so like the episode where he comes back on Christmas Night with his Ford Capri , £87 and a half tank of petrol and he wants Kat ( who was in bare feet in the fake snow properly wailing with happiness .

Jack and Reiss after the bump , Kym phones Bianca and Bianca's phone is ringing in Reiss's car . Jack didn't twig that .

Of course Jack didnt twig anything ! His not that bright for a copper and too interested in dropping off the damaged / stolen old car for Harry.
He must know he'd be stitched up ? He has had fishy dealings before with criminals and he knows Penny is unhappy with him and might try something. She's an ex drug dealer ffs !!
He is being harsh to her yet he knows it's not totally her fault Amy is in a wheelchair :(
I really loath Jack

What I don't get is one minute Martin and Callum were telling Reiss he needs to come down the station to report Bianca's assault and that they would wait outside for him. The next minute he's driving to his lock up where he's keeping Bianca prisoner! Ffs. Why didn't Callum and Martin follow him there???

They are too dim to have the faintest idea he has done anything wrong - so why would they follow him! It's frustrating to watch half the square behaving like credulous idiots about Reiss - including Jack, who took the biscuit for idiocy in that episode.

Sending Callum out to anyone is a disaster! He is a part timer like Jack and didn't even piece the six story together that time ( and he was getting close to a real light bulb moment at one point )

Someone above said that disliking a character means they are a good actor. I dislike almost every character, so what does that mean?

That’s not true I don’t think. Most of EE actors are quite wooden, Amy even out-acts Jack!

Denise is good, she can show different aspects of her character, Suki and Stacey and Eve are also good as is Jean/Harvey, who Harvey actor acted a similar part in “Mum”. Nish is good.

@Anyonecanfallinlove That only applies when the character is supposed to be unlikeable, like Reiss, so the actor is doing a good job if you don't like them.

With someone like Jack, I actually have no idea what we are supposed to think of him. Flawed but likeable? If so, that ain't working! He is angry, miserable, stupid (and crooked). And I think the actor was at the back of the queue when they handed out acting skills.

I think my post was maybe confusing because I meant the characters have become dislikeable from the storylines/scripts/staging and not from the actors portrayal

Were you thinking of anyone in particular, or are there too many to mention?😆

i loathe reiss, so i think his actor is doing a brilliant job, same with Nish, and Suki.

However, i hate that such good talent is being wasted on what is turning into farcical, unbelievable writing.

I think the acting is pretty good in EE
I was giving Corrie a go the other day ( not watched in many years) and the acting wasn't as good although I've heard they have more humour and better storylines
Reiss is good because we just hate him and I agree that Harvey is like the character in Mum married to that nasty woman ( who really was a good actress and can do a baddie really well!

The actors are generally fine - some outstanding - just that they’re often given crappy material to work with.
