Anyone watching this? Started tonight. I'd never heard of Emma Sidi before, I think she's funny..

This looks like it's going to be a good series! Love Mathew Baynton and Jason Mantzoukas, had heard of Rosie Ramsey and she seems ok. Didn't know Stevie Martin, but I like her. I hope Fatiha will grow on me - never seen her before, she seemed a bit rude, but maybe that's her 'thing'. Also surprised to see she's in her 40s, she came across as much younger.

This was the best episode 1 for a long time 😍

CollaterlieSistersSister · 02/05/2025 13:58

Mat is rather lovely isn’t he, his pealympics trauma was very funny (for us, not so for him). A new Mike Wozniak, perhaps.

Jason is great, it really shows when they’re a fan. I expect a lot more madness / trying to get on the roof.

Rosie was fun. I thought she was a bit subdued at times though, but found her really likeable.

Stevie seems great, reckon she’ll be good value.

Fatiha. Nah. I think it’s her shtick to be arrogant and dismissive, but you’d think such a massive platform would see her more engaged. The live task, WTF?? I suspect that attitude really didn’t land the way she wanted it to.

I saw episode 1 being filmed! It was very funny. They did miss a lot of the dialogue out though. The pealymics task was filmed at Painshill Park and Mat (regretting wearing those shorts!) damaged one of the follies. I don't think the production crew were very impressed, it must have cost a fortune!

If they chose to film there without substantial insurance cover, then hell mend them!

I enjoyed it. although the backwards one made no sense.
4 of them seem really fun.

Little Alex Horne is on the Dish podcast with Angela Hartnett and Nick Grimshaw this week.

I can't imagine how he damaged anything it wasn't exactly the most physical or challenges.

Thank goodness it does seem to be back to being funny again. It managed to keep my attention at all times. I’m enjoying 4 of the contestants so far, Fatiha was just the same on Outsiders, not very funny, but just so shouty and sleazy. Perhaps she’ll get better.

FrippEnos · 03/05/2025 06:39

I'm hoping that its a persona that Fatiha puts on and she starts being more herself as the show goes on.

How did it make no sense?

OminousFlute · 03/05/2025 12:53

I dunno, Fatiha's underlying irritation at the audacity of being asked to complete a task was quite amusing.

Has anyone other than Jason brought tools before? It's obvious when you think about it.

I can’t remember the actual object, but I remember Steve Pemberton saying he had something in his pocket that he’d seen was useful in previous series. But didn’t get to use it.

IPartridge · 03/05/2025 14:13

I'm loving Jason's joy at just being on the show.

JustAMiddleAgedDirtBagBaby · 15/05/2025 22:04

Great episode again this evening.

PickAChew · 15/05/2025 22:10

I love that Rosie's face plant was upstaged 🧆😂

Umanresources · 15/05/2025 22:20

Really enjoyed tonight. We did laugh out loud at some of the tasks (the cheese phone) 😂. I was quite confused at the last task as I missed the instructions. I like Stevie and Matthew so much.

Snapespeare · 15/05/2025 22:22

Howling at Mats pixels - reminds me of post production taking out Nick Mohammed's vampire reflection in his series.. :-)

JustAMiddleAgedDirtBagBaby · 16/05/2025 06:32

@Snapespeare Howling at Mats pixels

I've never heard them called that before.

Magicmonster · 30/05/2025 22:11

I’m loving this series. I think it’s the best one in quite a long time. For me prob the best since series 12? Mainly due to a great mix of contestants (Fatihya aside), but also some really good tasks

murasaki · 31/05/2025 00:08

I enjoyed Rosie's cold dark moment in the middle of the night existential crisis re the monster.

And Matthew and Jason's joke about M Night thingummybob.

SnowflakeSmasher86 · 31/05/2025 00:15

I’m really enjoying this series too. My DP has never watched TM so I’m also watching series 1 at the same time. Romesh and the melon buffet will never get old!

SnowflakeSmasher86 · 31/05/2025 00:17

It’s making me a bit wobbly over Mat B I must admit! Saw him as Bottom in Midsummer Nights Dream last year and loved it so much we booked cheap seats to go back a second time. He was so sweet to Stevie this week!

murasaki · 31/05/2025 00:18

Oh he needs a bit of Wozniak in his life. And Baddiel and Brand stopping for tea.

Twonewcats · 31/05/2025 01:41

This series has taken me back to my complete love for TM. Fun, camaraderie, nonsense etc. I'm not loving RR, but that isn't ruining the series x
