Anyone watching this? Started tonight. I'd never heard of Emma Sidi before, I think she's funny..

I'm not a RJ fan usually - I find her crude and unfunny so I was braced to not enjoy this series but I actually found her funnier than usual and was braced a couple of times to quickly use an 'oh look squirrel' distraction for young teen DS. He watched the last series with us having previously only watched the bleeped version (even then we were selective with which series as it's often not the swearing that it the problem) but I didn't need to urgently send him to fetch something from the other room.

I can't believe Jack Dee hasn't done it already - I feel like he should have been in the first few series.

I find the people saying she meant this and that is was off-putting really bizarre - she was clearly having fun and joking around. And who cares if she thinks she is beautiful? So she should, good for her.

This is quite dull. A memory test?.

I'm not finding this series that funny yet. Not enjoying Rosie's comedy but I do love her hair in the studio. Emma seems good. Jack's bored persona is getting a bit old already. I haven't laughed out loud yet. They - or the editing - just don't seem as funny as usual

I don't mind any of them, in fact I like Babba a lot!
It just seems to be the tasks which seem a bit disappointing.

Found this week's episode a bit funnier.

I'm disappointed at the lack of creativity from the contestants. The doorbell and multi headed creature tasks felt like they should have been much better

I'm not sure, it was middle to later I think. I recognise a couple of the tasks from the intro. I've not liked Rosie Jones for quite some time and tbh wouldn't have gone if I'd known in advance she was on it. But actually she was really funny and engaging and really didn't take herself too seriously, she seemed to be having a lot of fun. She had a lovely rapport with Greg, Jack and Emma. It was all a bit dry otherwise. I don't think this is going to be the best series. However I've also been to the filming of the first one of the next series and that promises to be a lot better!

So disappointed with last night's show. Hardly cracked a smile. And ridiculous to partner Rosie with Jack.

Again all the games geared to Rosie and rather dull.

i thought Rosie and Jack went well together. the tasks were crap though.

I found last night’s episode really flat. I used to so look forward to it for genuine laughs, but episode 2 really dipped for me.

They’re not the most creative bunch are they?!

I also can’t help but feel that Jack won’t do what he does best being paired with Rosie. Happy to be proved wrong though. I’ll still watch, but it won’t be ‘an appointment to view’ I reckon.

I think the tasks are the main issue this series so far. Really dull last night. Although the contestants aren’t the best either.

The level of effort on that door camera task was appalling. We've had similar things before and some of the more memorable contestants went all out with amazing production values and theme tunes.

Seems very odd this season. I know they committed to make something like 5 / 6 seasons in 2 years so maybe it is being rushed.

Love it normally so a bit gutted. Caught one task recently and thought it was complete rubbish.

She also described herself as a national treasure.

Deluded. Will be really interesting to see how the viewing figures go.

Yes I don't think it's going to be a vintage series. Sometimes all the contestants click (remembering the ones with Ashling Bea, Jessica Knappett, Bob Mortimer Rose Matefeo, Liza Tarbuck etc) and then sometimes they just don't (the one with Paul Sinna and the bloke from Fresh Meat - Joe Thomas?).

I get the impression that the guests are a bit on edge because they know that with Rosie there they have to be a bit more careful what they say (not that she would necessarily care).

I thought last night's was an improvement on episode 1. I think it always takes a few episodes to get going though. The prize task in particular was much better. I think it will settle in and find its feet.

why do people realise she is a comedienne. she makes jokes. you ( and me ,except for the coffin ) might not find her funny. but its odd to keep on taking a comedienne seriously.

Agree with this. You could pick any other comedian from Phil Wang to Sarah Millican and realise they were taking the piss out of themselves. Rosie doesn't actually take herself seriously at all. If anyone has ever seen her roast battle with Alex Brooker they would see that.

I think she's come across really well.

Yes, I think Rosie is fine, and quite funny. I just think the tasks have been a bit lacklustre. The memory test was very dull, I thought it might lead to something else.

I think it shows a lack of interest / creativity that only one of the contestants looked outside the box so to speak (memory test) I was shouting out to the TV for them to look underneath things etc. It is like some of them have never seen the show. or in Jack Dee's case, doesn't actually care that much

I know! There's usually a trick to finding answers!

I do love TM but to be honest I think that the tasks have been a bit crap for a few series now, really feels like Alex has run out of ideas (or is subcontracting too much if it).

The last one with good tasks was the one with Johnny Vegas and Katherine Parkinson, though i didn’t massively warm to that line-up.
