I saw Shirley on the Eurostar to Paris last year and she was certainly well and healthy. Looked like she was travelling with a family group and grandchildren. I didn’t have the courage to ask for a selfie or if he she was going to come back!

Dor is an awful character, in fact when they have bit parts like this it makes you realize how good the other actors are tbh !
( no offence to the actress playing her btw )

I think Sharon is going to get a haircut - which could explain the awful wig - bit like Buffy season 6

Yes the actress playing Dor isn’t suited to the role, it’s quite distracting.

I did like her ' don't call me window ' comment , but the character is a bit cringy

Elaine also emotionally blackmailed Linda into saying Dean didn’t rape her to save George which was unforgivable. No decent parent would do that!

I like Dor! But I thought the 2 hard girls who were after Sharon were a joke. I'm harder than them and I'm not even hard.

That time E made Linda ' confess ' to Dean raping her to save George was awful
Can't remember why she did it or why G was in trouble , but it was a low :(

Just watching todays ep and it’s like a fairytale - amy needs the toilet fist nurse past takes her, kojo missing but really he’s only in the public toilet why didn’t they look there?! And Sharon in prison is RIDICULOUS. In for 7 days but still getting a job in the laundry, no way would Chrissie have all that jewellery and the characters are awful.

Didnt he punch Dean or something?

George pushed Dean down the stairs and since he had previous in Spain for assault there was a risk he would go to prison if Dean pressed charges. So Elaine railroaded Linda into ‘confessing’ Dean didn’t rape her so he wouldn’t press charges against George. Obviously Dean recorded her. The whole thing was ridiculous, there was no proof Dean was pushed so it was all unnecessary.

Elaine feels guilty that Linda's dad was closer to her than she was and didn't sing a lullaby for her etc . That was sad today , but maybe not getting her to confess to save George's skin might have been better as well.
They have a toxic relationship.

Yes, they probably are too alike. Her mum was too focused on her old pub to really parent Linda by the sounds of it
Her mum took the killing rather well too I thought! Much calmer than most parents would be, yet I don't really get 'gangster vibes 'from Elaine tbh! Maybe she is just not fazed by this stuff like most people would be 😆

These prison episodes are awful. Last few weeks have been good but not rushing to watch this week as I usually do

Hopefully , by Thursday they might be out ( along with 1700 more in real life ) and go back
to to the normal stories !
( like Sonia , who they have forgotten about and may end up with Dor herself !)

Do you know what - know we laugh and take the pisstake about how crap and unrealistic this stupid programme is (and I've been watching for 30+ years)

But this depiction of a women's prison is actually really damaging

Catinboots Damaging as in an unrealistic look at prison life or something else ?
They have had these kind of storylines before with male characters which were similar and had no basis on real life prisons or how they run , but if they did a realistic look at it , it wouldn't be fit for broadcast at 7.30 pm I'm sure!
I'm hoping it'll move on soon as Chrissie and Sharon come out of jail and she starts creating havoc. Although many can't remember the original story and Zoe and Vicki are no longer around ( Kat is though )

I forgot about this! Yes, she actually treated Linda so badly. Linda would have been better off going into business with Sharon as planned!

At least we got a reason for Elaine being so cold towards Linda, but even when she tried to make amends and hugged her she still seemed distant. I don't for a moment think Linda is a priority.

Yet more boring stuff with George and Kojo.

Denise being a total hypocrite, snarking at Chelsea when she herself recently buried a body in the caff!

I love Chrissie although the prison scenes are pretty dire. I assume the next scene will be the haircut!
