Why is she still inside after 19 years? Where did she get the jewellery, clothes, make up and hair tongs? All that gold would make her a target surely.

Totally bonkers with Chrissie looking like a model and the others were so dowdy and rough!

Chrissie must have a mobile hairdresser come to her her cell every week. Or do they have hair salons in prisons??

Yeah the Martin pic confused me and I definitely had to look twice when Phil gave Sharon the photo. I suppose it might have been a bit distasteful to have one with Keanu since he wasn’t Albie’s dad. But what about poor little Peggy. I don’t think anyone has mentioned her in all of this. I guess she’ll turn up in 16 years to wreck havoc on the square.

Peggy has lost her real dad! Didn't think of this before now ( had forgotten all about her tbh )

When I was in a psychiatric unit recently you had a hairdresser come in say every month. They got paid for doing this. You were allowed makeup and also volunteers would come and do manicures for/with you.

Also, laptop yes you could have your own there.

So I’m guessing if prison is similar to there then Chrissie isn’t far from the truth!

Chrissie does look good though.

But as I've never been in one, I've no idea

In open prisons inmates are allowed out on licence (as in, they can leave the prison) to spend days out in public. They can go to college classes, do specific work or undertake steps to get resettled when they are properly released. I’m not speaking from personal experience! It doesn’t sound as if Chrissie has been out like that in the last 19 years.

Why is Sharon in such a strict jail then ?
I know she is in contempt , but she's in with the murderers ;)

Think it was a plot device to reunite her with Chrissie.

@Southeastdweller and @the80sweregreat I agree Elaine and Linda don’t have a great relationship and Elaine isn’t the most supportive but Linda really doesn’t treat people well. She’s being looked after by her adult son who had to abandon his life for her but expects her mum to look after her children. Also, she had the opportunity to run the pub with Sharon but decided to pull out at the last minute (without informing her) and call her mum. It’s like she just expects her family to be at her beck and call.

I saw a TikTok with a lot of big characters returning and the month they were due back. No idea if it was true or not but I’ll see if I can find it!

Chrissie looks amazing. I have seen TAO in fairly recent stuff so I knew she looked great, the surprise for me was in seeing how young she was in the old footage!

Sharon unfortunately told Chrissie enough to piece it together. A very bad move. I do like the parallels between the storylines though. Chrissie would surely be in an open prison to prepare her for release after such a long sentence.

It was Martin in the photo which was weird. It should have been Keanu, Phil or even Zac. Why Martin!

I could not care less about George and his brother(s). I feel sorry for Elaine, in the middle of multiple family dramas and expected to smile and hold it all together.

Elaine is quite cold though isn’t she? She never comforted Linda over Mick’s death, or now re the rape/killing. I can see why Linda did not confide in her! She was more sympathetic to Yolande than she ever has been to Linda.

I bet the storyline where viewers have their say for the anniversary is a fairly minor one!

This is what it said although it misses Ruby off the list so most is probably rubbish. Ruby, Bianca and David confirmed and Grant seems likely, and a bit more weight if that’s around the live episode:

Seen things saying Shirley is coming back every few months and it never happens but a Mick Christmas return would be good…

We know Bianca and David are coming back but the rest sounds like a fan wishlist.

It's so strange about Linda Henry (Shirley). There was never anything from the show or her about why she left, it's like she properly disappeared. Hopefully she's well and healthy.
