Season four is about to hit our screens. If you haven’t watched it, I thoroughly recommend it. Gary Oldman is superb.

It's the reason I subscribe to Apple TV. Brilliant casting.

I watched it tonight too. When I wqs reading the books I though this one was a step up from the first three (even though they were superb) and the same is true of this season so far. Can't wait for Ep 2

Liking Series 4 very much except for James Callis as First Desk, basically reprising his role as Bridget Jones's best friend in BJD. How did such a panicky gutless wonder get the job as First Desk? Lady Di Taverner will wear her lip out sneering at him.

I assume he will get killed or dig deep and find some cojones before the end.

I have the advantage of not having seen BJD, so I don't know him. A panicky gutless wonder got the job because he's a privileged white man and clearly went to school/Oxbridge/St Andrews with someone high up, and/or is a member of the right members' club. All of which Diana knows, which is why she treats him with such disdain

I think he'll get killed and she'll have to step up.

I've just watched season 4 episode 1 I was stressed for the entire episode. I've just started episode 2....sigh of relief, but now I'm crying. I didn't expect this season to take me on this this emotional rollercoaster.

Right I'm going back to complete episode 2.

This series is so good. I love the slow horses and KS Thomas is a goddess, she's just brilliant in this role.

Great series! Especially after a bad day at work - who wouldn't want to be able say what Jackson Lamb says? I wanted to put in a word for the signature song, lyrics are great and Mick Jagger's style fits it soooooo well! I look forward to it every time. 😂

The theme tune is perfect, I agree. I think I read that Jagger was a fan of the books so he was approached by the composer?

I went to St Andrews and to be fair, if I got first desk I'd be about as effective as James Callis ( nice to see him after Battlestar Galactica though!) This is really great so far, I think its really found its feet. And River speaking French was excellent 😂

The latest episode has dropped; it's so good I couldn't wait to watch it.

I really like it, unfortunately can't get DH to engage with it so I'm having to watch it when he's out....fortunately he's out a lot this weekend.

Haha me too. Should be working but having a ‘lunch’ break. Happily DD , home for a year on placement from uni, has started to watch all series from scratch with me. She’s loving it too!

Bad Sisters season 2

Not watched the third episode yet of season 4...but surely James Callis isn't there purely as a bumbling fool. He's got to have something evil up his sleeve. Too obvious casting and characterisation for such aa clever series, I'm waiting for a twist.

But KST is magnificent. Calculating, cold, stunningly beautiful and not one drop of botox or filler.

DH just watches sport and police interceptors but he loves this!
