Is Amy expected to have a partner?

Just wondering if it's too big a step for her yet.

She is.
Currently I'd be guessing Paul except it was said it would be a bigger name with some experience so that could mean Shayne who was "surprised" at who he got.

Johannes is another one I won't miss.

Hasn't Amy only ever done one Argentine tango, and that was with Karim? They didn't have chemistry, no.

She's been unlucky, duffer first year, Danny JK the second year who wasn't very nice, James Bye - bland and anyone else I've forgotten because they were bland.

Johannes is doing very well for himself and I think I will miss him. Is he the longest serving male pro left there? Not counting Alijaz' return and the perpetually benched Neil.

I've not been as excited about this year as I have been in previous years. Its starting this weekend but I'm out to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, but not too upset.

Ha! Any doing a smouldering AT with a sexy contestant would be like Sandy in Grease becoming a vamp . I'd love to see it.

I have to be honest - I haven't really liked any of those pairings.
I could see that technically Danny, Karim and Tom were good but none of them moved me. The three others were largely forgettable - apart from Killer Halloween Bee, which I am still trying to forget.

Amy is too wholesome for me and her rapport with Karim was like Flavia and Louis, more maternal pat on the head than sizzle.
I do hope she doesn't get sympathy votes/pity points/votes for resilience for coming through cancer not because I don't admire her or what she has overcome but because it patronises her (same as votes for those with additional needs if the dance itself was not good).

A couple who had the best sizzle was over at DWTS - Maksim and Meryl - this is partly because she was used to faking the chemistry and had done with her ice skating partner Charlie White (irl she was with the coach and they were never an item). So acting/artistic expression is a big part of it. But a pro should be able to do both classy ballroom and steamy Latin.

Juliet on Digital Spy has updated her list and said that her mole got Nadiya and Luba mixed up. So Nadiya is apparently witn Tom and Luba is with Nick.

I like Luba she is my favourite female pro so I'm a bit disappointed that she hasn't got Tom. I like Nick but I don't imagine he'll get to Blackpool.

Im not a fan of Alijaz and annoyed that him being brought back has likely benched Kai who I would much rather see.. I would imagine Kai is pretty annoyed too! I know Carlos is out as well but I saw Kai more of a match with Tasha and he deserved a good 'un this year!

I thought there were pap photos of Nadiya and Nick at a shopping centre filming? This is what we’ve been basing their pairing on.

Apparently it's Tom & Nadiya v Toyah & Neil with Tom & Nadiya out.

Yes I've just read that it's Tom out against Toyah - I would've booted Toyah but they are low on women after all.

Judges scored Tom 3/6/5/6 and Toyah 3/5/5/5.

So even if their performances didn't change it would be plausible for Craig and Shirley to vote for Toyah and send her through.

Pleasantly surprised that Dr P got the votes. Not surprised that Paul M got votes.

Am genuinely shocked by the spoiler. Quite liked Tom and thought he had far more mid-series journey potential than Nick, Paul, Toyah, Punam and Pete. Maybe more potential than Sam as well. Nick certainly got sympathy marking tonight. Also, how on earth did Toyah improve enough to beat him in the dance-off? Feels like it could have been a decision based on Toyah being more likely to grab headlines.

I'm struggling a bit with the casting this series. I normally like to feel rabidly partisan about at least a couple of the celebs but this year nobody is inspiring those feelings and there are quite a few of them I am finding a bit trying.

I don't vote for people above the half way mark until Halloween, so I voted Dr P, Nick and Sam, as my favourites of the duffers. I did consider giving Tom a vote because he probably needed it, and I like Nadiya but in the end I decided I didn't actually care if he went home - which is just as well.

Thank god they saved Toyah 🥳

Tom was 1st on I missed it, also had never heard of him, and he was boring imo.
DS being all shocked, yet they wouldn't have been If Toyah was out!
She put more into the dance and the song was good and played the part well.

We absolutely didn't want to be down to five females though.
Casting fault for not enough females.

Gosh. Who on earth is voting for Paul and Nick over Tom?
I think the public doesn't like Nadiya.
