Surely Toyah to go tonight. Mind you I thought that last week!

As Monkseal pointed out, not only did the producers put her on in the worst slot this week, with the most dangerous dance, they also gave her carefully softened judges' comments (if they put the boot in that often makes people pick up the phone to vote) and they put probably the most popular and attention-grabbing contestant on immediately after her.

BehindTheSequinsandStilettos · 05/10/2024 23:18

DS are waiting for Juliet to confirm but Twitter is saying Montell versus Toyah. Toyah out.

BehindTheSequinsandStilettos · 05/10/2024 23:24

Dave's poll has Paul and Toyah at the bottom.
I'd like her to have one more week over him I must say, especially given the death spot, samba and going before Chris that Monkie has pointed out. It's just not cricket. Same reason I voted for Paul and Nick last week.

TheShellBeach · 05/10/2024 23:24

Dave Thorp's Spoiler says it's Paul v Toyah with Toyah getting the boot.

EvilRingahBitch · 05/10/2024 23:25

Poor Montell. Not that surprising, looking at the leaderboard. Entertainment Odds poll respondents obviously more likely to vote for her than the casual viewer.

Hurrah, false alarm. Slightly surprised that Paul ran out of votes so quickly, but it's fair enough.

KnottedTwine · 05/10/2024 23:25

How can it be montell? She was great! And near the top too.

Edited

That's not what The Strictly Spoiler says.

It wasn't Montell.
It was Paul and Toyah.

KnottedTwine · 05/10/2024 23:29

Well that’s the fair result. Next week will be Paul and Nick if he is back and those are the next 2 eliminated.

BehindTheSequinsandStilettos · 05/10/2024 23:30

DS now reporting Dave's as correct, thank you Shell
Unanimous - all 4 chose to save Paul.
I am surprised. I didn't think his efforts were four more over her and I'd hoped she'd get to stay another week. I guess they all saw something in him I didn't.

TheShellBeach · 05/10/2024 23:34

I think Paul was marginally better than Toyah. That's not really saying much, and I think he'll be out next week.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 05/10/2024 23:45

The right bottom two and the right decision. Some strategic voting on here glad it seems to have worked

They were probably miffed about Toyahs husband outburst

That was funny!
Shane she never danced to his music!

BehindTheSequinsandStilettos · 06/10/2024 11:18

He booed the loudest last week: they just didn't show it! Surprised that Craig didn't know who he was straight away though. He's a famous musician (Robert Fripp). Toyah may have been better off with Carlos. Neil's marmite to many sadly. He's the lead in the romcom routine apparently.
I expected more musicality/rhythm from her though. I'm also surprised her age wasn't mentioned much - she did pretty well for a 66 year old (I'm struggling going up and down stairs and I'm younger Blush).

Gooseysgirl · 06/10/2024 11:26

Glad to see this result, I gave my three votes to Montell as she was unfairly marked and was in real danger of being in the DO in my opinion. Paul to go next I would think.

BehindTheSequinsandStilettos · 06/10/2024 11:37

Wynne is doing a Tango to Money, Money, Money.

Sam is doing a Samba to Hips Don’t Lie.

Chris is doing a Salsa to Land Down Under

Not sure why Wynne has ABBA but should be fine. Shakira's always a choon but samba draw's not great - assume Nikita thinks she's safer doing it now with other obvious fodder likely to go (Paul, Nick). Chris doing a salsa to Men at Work is a choice... I know Diane's an Ozzie and has been talking of him dancing like a roo - I guess it had to happen sometime.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/10/2024 23:55

No sign still so I'm turning in for the night

Spoiler is in. Nick and Shayne in the dance off and Nick was eliminated. I was surprised at Shayne being in the dance off. The curse of going first strikes again!

virgocatlover · 13/10/2024 07:33

Shayne v Nick, Nick was eliminated, vote was unanimous.

I'm slightly surprised about Shayne but I think he does fade into the background a bit plus he was up first.

LochKatrine · 13/10/2024 07:54

I think Paul improved, and Punam probably got votes to keep her in after last week. The right decision with Nick.

Lentilweaver · 13/10/2024 08:24

Glad Punam has fans! Everyone loves a trier. Glad Nick is gone too.

MouseofCommons · 13/10/2024 08:42

Right decision this week. There was no point dragging it out for him for another week.
Paul is probably the weakest left but he seems to be improving so it's going to get sticky for most of them from now on.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 13/10/2024 09:57

I didn’t think Shayne would hit the dance off quite so soon but I’m not majorly surprised. Meh music, those hideous yellow costumes & Nancy’s shrieking plus the weirdness a few weeks ago about social media - I think he’s probably going to be there a few more times yet

Gooseysgirl · 13/10/2024 10:06

Not at all sorry to see Nick go (gives me the ick big time) and to be fair he wouldn't have lasted much longer than another couple of weeks. Gave my three votes to Punam, she has great potential and deserves to stay in a bit longer.
