Is there already a thread?
Loving The Sugababes. Sounding and looking great. And seem to having loads of fun.
Paul Heaton - love him

Showing my age!

There usually is a thread but cant find another, so yours is it @faffadoodledo Grin

Yep im watching as i do every year.. agree with the above, but also liked Anne Marie and of course the legendary PJ Harvey!

Coppercup · 28/06/2024 21:23

Yes I'm in! LCD Soundsystem now watching Sampha before Dua Lipa

HowardTJMoon · 28/06/2024 21:25

I liked PJ Harvey and Arlo Parks. Paul Heaton was ok but I've always got it in the back of my mind that everyone I've ever heard describe meeting him have said that he's a monumental twat.

My current favourite is Heilung - absolute lunacy and what Glastonbury should be about!

Jellykat · 28/06/2024 21:27

I'd like to see Idles, Jungle AND Dua, but theyre gonna clash and ive work early tomoz.. gonna have to catch up tomoz on Iplayer.. Grrrrr!

faffadoodledo · 28/06/2024 21:35

@HowardTJMoon how disappointing re Paul Heaton. I had him down as a good guy.
Catching up on PJ Harvey now.

I'd love to go and may go for it next year - tho DH would hate it!

I've had many opportunities to go there to work, but i'm a BIG people watcher and think my head would explode! Grin
(plus im a very light sleeper and shit if tired)

Appalonia · 28/06/2024 21:50

Watched earlier and Seventeen, the Korean band, were v good, so full of energy! And Confident Man, who I'd never heard of before were great too. I'm going to watch Jungle as I'm sure Dua Lipa's set will be repeated on iPlayer as she's so massive.

Westfacing · 28/06/2024 21:53

A lot of the acts seem to be miming - or is my TV out of sync!

sugarbyebye · 28/06/2024 21:55

Yes! Thought Paul Heaton's set was great, PJ Harvey was amazing as ever, LCD soundsystem sounded amazing but looked so bored, Bombay bicycle killed it. Watching king krule now. Will check out Jungle in a bit. Missed Heilung but will definitely be checking them out on catchup! We've ordered enough takeaway to last us the weekend so don't plan on leaving the sofa much.

Jellykat · 28/06/2024 21:56

@Westfacing I thought these 2 were at first, but not sure .. (love them especially the keyboard players movements and their lyrics!)

Who were they, didn't catch the name!

Hugmorecats · 28/06/2024 22:06

Does anyone know what’s wrong with Jo Whiley? She sounds like she’s about to collapse

Westfacing · 28/06/2024 22:09

She mentioned hay fever earlier on.

Cocothecoconut · 28/06/2024 22:12

Where do they find these ‘bands/acts’ from
dire dross

Who do you think should be on, then?

froomeonthebroom · 28/06/2024 22:17

I thought Dua was on at 10pm? What's going on?

Paul Heaton was OK I thought. He seems to blow through band members so I can imagine he's hard to work with.

The Mary Wallopers were great, crowd was really enjoying them.

Not keen on whoever this is now. There aren't enough new guitar bands coming through imo.

I didnt either frustratingly, but she mentioned shes been working or touring with Self Esteem, so maybe some googling might give us the answer?

I've heard the opposite.
I can't recall the details but, maybe just after lockdown, he put money behind the bar in the pubs in (?) town so all the locked could have a drink on him.

Jellykat · 28/06/2024 22:19

Its Sampha @froomeonthebroom , i do love his voice, but not sure i could do a whole album..

Springwatch123 · 28/06/2024 22:21

Enjoyed sugarbabes, and to my surprise, Seventeen.

Dexys was okay, and enjoyed them for nostalgia, but felt he struggled a little.

sugarbyebye · 28/06/2024 22:26

we've switched to Jungle although I'd prefer Idles so will watch that later. I like some of the later, darker stuff. We had a quick switch over to Dua Lipa to see what she was wearing. I'm not that keen on her music but would kill for legs like that!

Jellykat · 28/06/2024 22:28

Loving Idles (bbc4), crazy buggers..

I think he put money behind the bar at 60 pubs for his 60th.

blobbsog · 28/06/2024 22:36

Idles are amazing.

Oldraver · 28/06/2024 22:36

I'm struggling with all the 'catch ups and so called highlights' seems to be the same few bands on repeat

Not too sure if it's the same this year but I did sulk as the didn't televise the acoustic stage
