IPlayer is very glitchy tonight here.

Saving Jungle for later as husband wants to watch Dua Lipa (who appears to be heavily reliant on the backing track/singers)

Enjoyed Paul Heaton, does anyone know the girl who sang with him?

LCDsoundsystem fucking fabulous as ever!

Rianne Downey sang with Paul Heaton

Aquarius1234 · 28/06/2024 23:12

Yeh she's not looking at the crowds much.
Music videos I agree.

JaneIves · 28/06/2024 23:13

@SleepPrettyDarling Thanks!

Thunderpunt · 28/06/2024 23:14

Who's this with Dua Lipa now ? He looks coked off his tits

Rhianne Downey was the girl on stage with Paul Heaton.

Dua is waaay too polished and its all desperately lacking any oomph

However having Tame impala on helps!

Rebusmyfire · 28/06/2024 23:17

Anyone doing a long set who doesn't break into a slight sweat needs to give more Oomph

Windysquall · 28/06/2024 23:19

Evening all, I’m watching Dua and agree with the comments about her being a bit meh. I’ve always found her a very contained and rather dull performer. I think she’s too clean cut!

Mitsky · 28/06/2024 23:20

It’s soooooo bland

Gooseysgirl · 28/06/2024 23:20

We're enjoying Dua Lipa - I wish I had even a quarter of her energy 😆 Gonna watch Jungle tomorrow. I cannot he fecked with Coldplay headlining AGAIN. I will be watching Jessie Ware instead who absolutely smashed her glasto set last year! Also excited to see Michael Kiwanuka tomorrow.

Windysquall · 28/06/2024 23:21

I frickin love Jesse Ware - amazing last year - is she playing this year, when??

Gooseysgirl · 28/06/2024 23:21

Tomorrow night same time as Coldplay

Aquarius1234 · 28/06/2024 23:23

Katy Perry was better I think.

dapsnotplimsolls · 28/06/2024 23:23

I'm going to mute Dua Lipa and listen to 'Your Woman' by White Town!

Windysquall · 28/06/2024 23:23

Fab, thanks. Just checked listings - Orbital are on beforehand, that’s a blast from the past. Should be a good evening.

HRTQueen · 28/06/2024 23:24

So so boring boring music boring dull dance moves

like watching a production when all the performers are bored of doing the same routine over and over again

Rebusmyfire · 28/06/2024 23:24

Oh I forgot its Coldplay (again) tomorrow.
Has no obecelse come along into last 20 yrs to do a Saturday night?

Jellykat · 28/06/2024 23:26

Agree totally re Jessie Ware! so much better then this dross.. or Chris bloody Martin

Clabony · 28/06/2024 23:29

Dua not doing it for me. Very slick and professional but very samey.

RoseAylingEllisFanClub · 28/06/2024 23:30

Enjoying the BSL stream of Dua Lipa. The terps are good, if a little variable, but one is absolutely amazing and clearly a very experienced performance terp. And I’ve learned the sign for Glasto!

its2024 · 28/06/2024 23:31

Dua is not a Glastonbury act, it's obviously a very well rehearsed show with no room for being spontaneous, works as an arena tour. She's over singing to a backing track which a lot off acts do.

But then her just standing there with a mic would be very dull, she's not a headliner. I like her songs but she's not a performer.

HowardTJMoon · 28/06/2024 21:25

I liked PJ Harvey and Arlo Parks. Paul Heaton was ok but I've always got it in the back of my mind that everyone I've ever heard describe meeting him have said that he's a monumental twat.

My current favourite is Heilung - absolute lunacy and what Glastonbury should be about!

Heilung were incredible; I'm seeing them live next year, absolutely delighted, can't wait.

I can't believe they asked Coldplay to headline again!!
So boring.

Isn't she supposed to be a performer/ pop star/ dance etc etc

PeachyKeane · 28/06/2024 23:34

Enjoyed LCD Soundgarden, and the Sugababes. Agree Dua Lipa was dull, watching Idles atm. Better energy.

I've been a few times to Glastonbury. It's too big for me now, it's exhausting getting around and very easy to lose people. Prefer the smaller festivals.

Looking forward to seeing James, Ocean Colour Scene, The Breeders, Orbital.
