Joel's the baddie, and Lauren is still missing
Roy's a free man, and Carla and Swain are close to kissing
Will Bethany quit moaning, she does it all the time!
Sarah is still hot, but needs to slow down on the wine

Leanne's missing too, has that cult bloke kidnapped her then?
And where are the quads, does anyone ever see them?
Paul's still alive, hanging on and on in there
Cop Kit's a bit tasty but a bit annoying and hard to bear

Not much with the Platts or the Barlows or The Rovers
Carla's pub money being stolen by Jenny and Daisy has been glossed over
Adam still has his wacky hair that's a bit greasy
Daniel's still boring, yet the cutest girls to him come easy

The school bully storyline has eased off a bit
So Maria can chill - and Sarah can get off with Kit
I hope it's OK for me to start this new thread my friends

Toyah definitely was not pregnant in 2001, I watched those scenes on Classic about a year ago, she had a washboard stomach. I can't take this storyline seriously, so I can see why Kit is struggling 😄

We were out last night so I only saw the last half, but I did see AI Oliver - horrible.

I have been trying to work out why the stolen credit card has been introduced.

AI Oliver is actually really disturbing. But it just goes to show what some really vulnerable people will do. I know the producers would have done their research so it must be happening?

Also, I do think the storyline with Leanne/the cult/creepy AI Oliver is actually quite good. Gave me the collywobbles last night actually!

Also agree about Toyah and the 'baby she had in 2001' storyline. Someone actually posted a picture of her from October 2001 on Twitter a few months back, where she would have been 6.5 to 7 months pregnant, and she (as a pp said,) had a washboard stomach. No sign of a baby belly. Do they not think before they submit these storylines?!

I do wonder why the police came at Toyah about the baby. Wonder if it was cult man, or Leanne. If not then who? Or did they just piece it together. Leanne lied through her teeth about not telling him (cult man!) But she did, because she spoke to him on facetime earlier and asked him if he had told the police about Toyah. What an absolute cow, telling him Toyah's secret!

And isn't Leanne getting vile!

It was particularly ridiculous as the rape and aftermath had been on screen so recently on Classic. If it hadn't, I suppose with hazy memories we might have accepted it.

Yeah that's it. If Classic Corrie had not been a thing right now, we would possibly have bought it, but Toyah was really thin in 2001. I know some baby bellies are bigger than others, but I don't think a 6.5 to 7 month baby belly would be as flat as a washboard. (Like Toyah's was then.)

Why does Bethany still have a company credit card for a company she doesn't work for? And why is it still active?

could Lauren be using Bethany's credit card? Didn't Bethany get the card out of her purse? I know Lauren was sacked by Roy for being in Bethany's bag, but I don't think she could have had enough time to get the purse, find the credit card and then write the card information down.

But, of course, this is Corrie and has been seen by the "where the hell did that come from" issue of Toyah's baby, timelines and storylines can be changed on a whim 😅

Playing devils advocate about Toyah baby, I suppose as it was such a traumatic experience for her and she hadn’t told anyone then that would be a reason why Rose was never mentioned…however, back in 2001 like other posters have said Toyah showed no signs of pregnancy, trauma after the birth and surely she would have had a pregnancy test at some point after the rape.

So, all things considered. This story line holds no water.

Nowadays it would be very hard to use a credit card by just writing down the numbers, or even by actually stealing it. To buy in person you'd need the PIN at some point, and even ordering online I almost always get sent a code to my phone to complete the process. But this is Corrie...

Lauren (or anyone) might, I suppose, have had the chance to quickly take a photograph of both sides of the card, but that wouldn't help with the billing address and PIN unless she somehow filched those as well. Scammers manage it, though. But where does it fit in? Asking the same question about the Toyah and little Rose storyline. Both are implausible and a bit baffling.
I was for once glad to see someone getting together when Glenda and Michael finally kissed. Proper single adults who've known each other for a while.

The way it looks, the Rose + cult storylines will result in a widening rift between Toyah and Leanne, and see Nick getting together with Toyah.

Nick has never seemed right for Leanne in all the decades they've tried. I thought she was best with Peter. Which just reminded me, Toyah also went out with Peter!

If Bethany's previous employers had a proper exit proceedure for leavers, then they would have ensured her access to company credit was closed down regardless of who had the card or the card number.

I can't see the Glenda/Michael thing. Seems like they had two single cast members going spare so why not finagle them into a relationship?

I do like Glenda, having said all that. She and George have been great additions to the cast.

Great theory from PP btw re Lauren using the credit card. There's always a reason for these little plotlines.

I find Dev and Bernie more unlikely, so far I don't mind Glenda and Michael, but Corrie have a lot of low-chemistry pairings so my standards are probably low 😄

Glenda more suited to Uncle Ronnie imo.

Noooooooo!!!! Roy will always be "Roy and Hayley". He made an attempt before at a relationship (can't remember her name now, but she ended up with Brian, in the Kabin) and he just couldn't give himself wholly to the relationship, as Hayley was always there in his head.

I don't think Roy would ever try again to - as he would see it - betray Hayley's memory.

(If he did, thought, Evelyn would be a perfect Ying to his Yang 😅)
