Joel's the baddie, and Lauren is still missing
Roy's a free man, and Carla and Swain are close to kissing
Will Bethany quit moaning, she does it all the time!
Sarah is still hot, but needs to slow down on the wine

Leanne's missing too, has that cult bloke kidnapped her then?
And where are the quads, does anyone ever see them?
Paul's still alive, hanging on and on in there
Cop Kit's a bit tasty but a bit annoying and hard to bear

Not much with the Platts or the Barlows or The Rovers
Carla's pub money being stolen by Jenny and Daisy has been glossed over
Adam still has his wacky hair that's a bit greasy
Daniel's still boring, yet the cutest girls to him come easy

The school bully storyline has eased off a bit
So Maria can chill - and Sarah can get off with Kit
I hope it's OK for me to start this new thread my friends
I wonder where we'll be at when this thread ends?

I don’t understand why Deedee’s family would talk her into marriage with someone who she’s not sure about and hasn’t known for very long. I don’t understand why Joel is rushing into marriage either. What will it gain him?

Control DeeDee so she stays away from his cases, maybe.

Joel's not rushing into marriage, Deedee told him he needs to sort his divorce out first. Does he genuinly care for her? It looks as though he might.

In UK law, a spouse doesn’t have to be called as a witness so if Joel ever got found out, they couldn’t call DeeDee to the stand. He could also care about her but be thinking of that as a reason to propose

@BirthdayRainbow Sue Devaney who plays Debbie Webster was in Casualty for 74 episodes in the mid 1990s. That's quite a lot of episodes, so maybe it was that?

She was also in 11 episodes of Dinnerladies (1998 to 2000.)

In the pub, DeeDee said Glory could be flower girl/bridesmaid/matron of honour - whatever she wanted to be! But, doesn't Joel have a daughter? She wasn't mentioned.

It made no sense for them to talk her into it, purely plot reasons.

I assume he wants to marry her so he looks like a nice family man. Possibly he even fools himself he will become a nice family man. DeeDee won't sleep with him until they are married so he's probably using that as his excuse for Ovidz.

I don't actually think they have any chemistry so it's a flat pancake to me.

It is Leanne’s son in AI, really creepy ( to me) though I can see why some people would buy into it.

No it wasn’t. There are some pictures of Toyah in 2001 a few pages back when this storyline first aired that someone posted and I think we all agreed then that Corrie were rewriting history

A few weeks ago Joel mentioned he was going to meet his daughter for the first time, but cancelled because DeeDee needed him or something, I remember posting about it at the time because who the hell would cancel something so important, but she hasn't been mentioned since, so I'm wondering did he make it up because he'd to sort Lauren out 🤷

That AI thing was very weird, and Leanne practically blaming Toyah for what happened to her was absolutely awful 😞

Toyah’s been crazy over having a baby for years, but in all the baby bartering there has never been any mention of her ever having been pregnant. It makes sense why she would be pining for a child if her baby had been stillborn. It was never mentioned in the aftermath of the rape though.

Re Bethany's credit card, I wonder if Lauren is using it? She took Bethany's handbag at one point. However, even if she'd copied the numbers down, she could still have difficulty using it online as items would be sent to a different address and all the extra security & confirming on the app for some cards too.
