Following on from the last thread, that started in late April 2024.

Joel's the baddie, and Lauren is still missing
Roy's a free man, and Carla and Swain are close to kissing
Will Bethany quit moaning, she does it all the time!
Sarah is still hot, but needs to slow down on the wine

Leanne's missing too, has that cult bloke kidnapped her then?
And where are the quads, does anyone ever see them?
Paul's still alive, hanging on and on in there
Cop Kit's a bit tasty but a bit annoying and hard to bear

Not much with the Platts or the Barlows or The Rovers
Carla's pub money being stolen by Jenny and Daisy has been glossed over
Adam still has his wacky hair that's a bit greasy
Daniel's still boring, yet the cutest girls to him come easy

The school bully storyline has eased off a bit
So Maria can chill - and Sarah can get off with Kit
I hope it's OK for me to start this new thread my friends
I wonder where we'll be at when this thread ends?

I think someone said last week that Betsy reminded them of Gemma?

Anyway she really DID remind me of Gemma yesterday, to the extent I googled to see if the actors are related (they're not). Her mannerisms / way of speaking was spookily similar when she was being arsey with Carla.

Finally it’s getting good! 😊 can’t wait to watch tonight I would watch on ITVX but DH who loves to hate the soaps wouldn’t be happy 😃

Joel gives me the creeps. I hope he leaves very soon.

I think both Joel and Lauren are acting this really well.

Now, will the nurse tell Nina another niece visited, or will Roy wake up and say she’s been? In time?

Joel is 🤮 but good acting and Lauren actress is great.

Gosh this is all a bit violent before the watershed but very good acting.

I thought it was filmed well for being before the watershed, sound cut, fuzzy camerawork. Good direction.

So when Lauren said she's not scared of Joel because she's not alone . . . . does she mean she's got Kit? Or am I reaching too far 😅

i wonder if Roy saw Lauren and that’s why he had the Heart attack and she called the Ambulance. It would of course explain how she knew where he was. So Nathan will be let out now, won’t he.

I'm certainly not enjoying this episode. I muted it for a while and I'm hoping that now she's shown she's pregnant there'll be no violence or creepy stuff.

It really shows how lying men lie so easily. It’s very cleverly written.

Lauren's such a great character

That was a very clever way of relaying the story, with Joel's voice telling his lies, over the visual of what actually happened.

The two actors are playing their parts SO well (but I can't help wondering what Joel's actor's grandmother will be thinking 😅- that's a TikTok to look forward to)

Really? Oh no. That was the best episode in ages!

That nurse saw her twice. Surely he’ll agree with Roy at some point when he’s saying he saw her? Then the police will look at hospital cctv etc? And Joel would be shown chasing her? And the taxi driver would back it up? <grasping at things that would happen in the real world!>
