Joel's the baddie, and Lauren is still missing
Roy's a free man, and Carla and Swain are close to kissing
Will Bethany quit moaning, she does it all the time!
Sarah is still hot, but needs to slow down on the wine

Leanne's missing too, has that cult bloke kidnapped her then?
And where are the quads, does anyone ever see them?
Paul's still alive, hanging on and on in there
Cop Kit's a bit tasty but a bit annoying and hard to bear

Not much with the Platts or the Barlows or The Rovers
Carla's pub money being stolen by Jenny and Daisy has been glossed over
Adam still has his wacky hair that's a bit greasy
Daniel's still boring, yet the cutest girls to him come easy

The school bully storyline has eased off a bit
So Maria can chill - and Sarah can get off with Kit
I hope it's OK for me to start this new thread my friends
I wonder where we'll be at when this thread ends?

I wonder if Dev will buy Chesney's as an investment but charge them a tiny rent. Or maybe his former MIL, she seems to have lots of spare money.

Another little annoyance at changing history - Ches said he'd lived in the house all his life. Not true. Must have been about ten when Cilla moved in with Les.

Maybe to him, it felt like all his life because that’s the first place he felt happy and part of a family

The quads are not even old enough to be in school

Wouldn't Gemma and Chesney get child Benefit for each child or does it not exist any more? Or is there a child limit these days? ( sorry, very out of date on these things) And surely they’d claim Universal Credit, help with council tax etc .

They'd get child benefit for all the children. Uc would only be 2 I think

As far as I know the 2 child limit doesn't apply to multiples. So they'd get UC for all 5 children.

That's what I've been thinking for ages, they'd get UC and quite a bit of child benefit, help with bills maybe?

It does and it doesn't. As the oldest quad is the only the 2nd child in the house they'd get a child element for all of them. If 3rd child then no its only 1 they get money for.

So a single then twins - money for all 3

2 singles then twins - only money for 1

Between just uc for kids and cb a month they'd get 1800.

I assume he owns a chain of shoeshops extending into nice places in Cheshire.

I also wondered where all those kids went. 5 lads was it? And the quads too? And Chesney and Gemma's room. ALL upstairs in a tiny 2-bed terraced house! As a pp said, it's like the Tardis.

I also think they should be entitled to some decent benefits. Are they claiming ANYthing?! It's not the 1930s! I know some people struggle financially, but benefits would offer some help.

Also wish Abi would stop putting crap into her face. She looks so weird with the puffed out bloated lips/face. And her teeth look very fake too. DeeDee looks amazing. She must have lost 3 stone in the past year.

As for Chesney & Gemma's house being a tardis...there's a few of them on the street. Nick & Leanne's flat, Gail's house and Ken's at one stage was full to capacity as was Fiz & Tyrone's.

The scenes with Sabrina and Joel were odd. She always seemed quite streetwise so her attitude to him was strange, I'd expect her to be more suspicious like her mate (who you're right is very likely Swain's daughter). But, plot reasons.

I didn't understand the deal with Joel's parents either. The mum said they were all so close till a year ago, so are we supposed to believe he suddenly turned evil at that point.

I agree the Gemma poverty storyline doesn't make sense, they should be getting a lot of benefits. I also don't know what our reaction is supposed to be to her stealing shoes - oh poor Gemma? Because that wasn't my reaction!

What was that £70 bill that Gemma received for? I'm slightly confused as it seemed to be a parking penalty fine or something. Gemma doesn't have a car? But neither did Bernie until the writers decided to change that.

I thought exactly the same. The fine would be sent to the car owner, how would they know Gemma's address?
