Continuing from the last thread when 2003 begins! Doesn't time fly in Classic Corrie? The last thread was started 10 months ago, and we have powered through a year and 8 months in that time (20 months.) Wonder where we will be by the end of this one? (If it does eventually come to an end?) Grin

Karen (McDonald) has been stressing about the death of her mum - and trying to be a better person, Martin and Katie are still together, (though Katie's dad Tommy is unimpressed by it,) Kelly Crabtree has just come in, Cilla abandoned Chesney to go on holiday with Les, Sunita and Dev are together at last, and Maya is about to go on a rampage after appearing to forge Sunita's signature for something.

Also, Sean has just come in and started living with Eileen (still is I think!) Jason and Todd are still in it, and Danny Baldwin and his wife Frankie are in charge of Underworld now, with Daniel's 'Uncle Mike' taking lots more time off. Oh, and Danny's son Jamie has just arrived, followed by Frankie and Danny's son Warren...

Charlie the builder is dating Shelly the barmaid, and Sally has just recently started turning into a snob. Jack (Duckworth) was dressed as Ida Fagg posing as a woman for the bowls team, and Norris, Blanche, and Emily have been playing poker!

Roy and Hayley are still together, Ciaran the handsome Irish barman is trying to start up his own business with Penny King, Steve seems to be warming to his little daughter (baby Amy,) and at the moment, there doesn't seem to be much drama with Gail and Audrey's family, or the Barlows, or the Websters, or with Fred and Ashley. Ashley and Clare are dating, but it's still a bit up in the air.

Hope I haven't missed much out, but that covers most stuff going on right now I think. Let's see how much has changed by the end of this thread. Smile

I watch Classic but don't comment on here as I am always weeks behind (I record it). I recently watched an episode with a brilliant scene between Rita and Sally, after Sally's affair with Ian ended. That is what I miss, great scenes like that which take into account the long history between characters. Sally used to be a great character and now she's a comedy turn.

I need to watch more Christmas Corrie episodes on ITVX. I watched one then completely forgot

Yeah it is a bit quiet on this thread isn't it? Shock

Can't think of much happening really ...

Cilla and Les are getting married and trying to poach stuff off people. Would Shelley really have given Cilla her wedding dress? They're not even friends! And Cilla and her pal stole a huge wedding cake off Diggory Compton. Like he isn't going to miss that! It was a couple of feet high!

Steve is with that woman with the large dark mole on her lip that he taken on as a taxi driver. I am already annoyed by her LOL! 😆

Martin and the woman he is seeing is an odd storyline. She liked him, and then suddenly randomly saw/heard about something he did in the past and ghosted him. Now they're on again! Weird! Confused

Not much going on apart from this. It's mid November there though, so it will be Christmas on Classic Corrie by early December. Smile

The whole Martin and Robyn storyline is annoying I realise it's his leaving storyline ,but it all seems very rushed ,it's barely six months since Katy who was allegedly the love of his life died
If I was Robyn I would have horrified by it all she's a teacher fgs, working with kids Katy,s age.

Anyone watching? Why is this episode on again when it was just shown on Friday?

Allthehorsesintheworld · 18/11/2024 15:04

I just came to ask the same. Someone’s pressed the wrong button at ITV control and gone back to sleep.

Maybe they did because the episode and description are different. I even went on ITVX to see if it’d somehow be different there but no, the same

This is a new episode now.

Is this the one that was supposed to be on before but Fridays episode was in its place?

I'm not sure, trying to work out of there's any thing missing. It doesn't seem to flow from what I remember on Friday.

I’m very confused as well! You’re right, it doesn’t seem to flow and there must be something missing but I don’t know what. Danny mentioned going to see his mum so maybe that?

Allthehorsesintheworld · 18/11/2024 15:47

I wonder if there was something in the first that should’ve been on today that’s deemed unacceptable ? The strike all seemed to be over and Danny had been to see his mum so maybe something around those? 🤷‍♀️

Description of what should have been episode one today Danny fails to return from Viv's, leaving Mike and Adam battling to save the Baldwin business. Eileen fears for Amy's safety, and Kirk's latest task proves tricky.

( Eileen and Amy, Tracey’s baby?)

Iwantacampervan · 18/11/2024 15:52

ITV X has a different episode billed as the first today - it is the missing one (I think)

I can’t see how anything unacceptable is there from that description and if there was, there’s usually a warning before the program starts. I wonder what it could have been that endangered both Eileen and Amy

HurdyGurdy19 · 18/11/2024 16:14

I thought I had gone barmy !

I've just had a look on ITV3 tomorrow morning, and it looks like the first episode is the one that should have been on today. I've set the pl

Edited - following a post on Digital Spy I've gone back and started the first episode from today again. The subtitles are for the correct (missing) programme!

So we can read what's mean to have happened. We just won't know who it's happening to 😂

HurdyGurdy19 · 18/11/2024 16:24

It got to about halfway through the first half, and the caption read "we apologise there are no subtitles for this programme".

Is it work experience week? 😂

SabreIsMyFave · 18/11/2024 19:31

I thought I was going cuckoo! Me and DH started to watch the first Corrie today - when Danny didn't come back from Viv's - I gather that is his mum...?

Have we only missed one episode? I feel like I have missed quite a bit! Confused

Yes, just one episode messed up.

It was shown on the repeats on ITV3 early yesterday morning.

OCaledonia · 21/11/2024 09:51

I managed to watch the missing episode by going to the morning one, thanks @HurdyGurdy19 .
Basically Danny went to visit his mum and got angry.
Tracey dumped Amy on Eileen in the cab office and she asked Steve's new squeeze Ronnie to take Amy as it wasn't safe in the cab office (because of the threats from Mr Ronnie)

OCaledonia · 21/11/2024 09:53

And I'm not sure if that episode was the one showing Mr Ronnie being hideously racist to Lloyd and Kelly. It was awful 😞

x2boys · 21/11/2024 12:21

Les and Cilla,s wedding absolutely brilliant episode! Corrie at its best ,you could see the cast were really enjoying singing with and dancing with Status Quo !

OnTheBoardwalk · 21/11/2024 17:12

I find Sophie so funny with her looking to join the fight when the factory girls were attacking Sally and chanting 'kill the hat' today

JewelleryCat · 25/11/2024 15:20

Did I zone out or something because I don’t remember David getting drunk and getting suspended

OnTheBoardwalk · 25/11/2024 20:00

@JewelleryCat I thought the exact same thing about David and even the dodgy gangster now being in jail

nope I had watched the episode and David was in the headmasters office with Gail drunk. Think we both must have zoned out

I really don’t remember that. I remember Steve and Ronnie at the farm with Jimmy and Nick but I don’t remember David drunk at all or Ronnies ex in hospital. Thank you for filling me in 🙂

SabreIsMyFave · 25/11/2024 22:26

Yeah, David was all salty about Martin leaving with his new flame, and then Salleh got a call from the school saying he is drunk on the playing fields or something! Then they went and got him - this was Friday.

I really don't like Ronnie I will be glad when she leaves!
