I'm glad Tristan found his voice at last nights dinner and spoke up to Richard in the way he was so speaking/behaving to Andrea. What a shame the others didn't also step up - especially seeing how distressed she was.

I truly hope the experts step up and him give a proper rollicking, but also that Andrea writes Leave and manages to release herself from the trauma that Richard is causing. 🌹

Me too - but I hope (maybe unrealistically) that, for her own mental health - which they should be taking into account- they let her exit. Fingers crossed. 🌹

Agreed. There's always the rough cut or rough edit. The producers will know what is significant so they could give the ixperts the significant clips.

At the end of the day, they want to edit and produce what they think is an entertaining drama, but they do have a duty of care.

Going back a bit, it was quite interesting to watch Jack with Jade, he was very flirty and practically salivating. He hasn't been like that once with Tori, why on earth was he talking about kids in 2 years? Did he just mean generally?!

I feel quite sorry for both Andy and Richard. I think she was totally into him and then got the "ick" after he talked about their sex lives so explicitly and ranked her below some of the younger girls in the experiment in terms of her looks. In the real world she would have just moved on but in this experiment they are forced to keep trying. I think because of her past she can't move beyond things that she perceives to be red flags. Meanwhile Richard has gone from being with someone who desired him to someone that has completely turned off her affections and after 6 weeks he is probably wishing she would just say "I'm not in to you anymore" so he can just move on instead of insinuating that if he could "change" then he would still be in with a chance. I don't think either of them should have to change their personalities - they are just not suited to each other. Now it's getting to the point where it just toxic and bad for both of them in terms of their self esteem. It makes great TV but its not good for the individuals involved (but serves them right as they should probably know that and most of them are doing it for all the wrong reasons).

Obviously we're seeing a curated edit but I can't see that Andi has done anything wrong. She was turned off by his behaviour and has tried time and time again to explain why and what he needs to do to fix it, but he won't listen. She didn't throw in the towel at the first sign of trouble because she was hopeful they could mend it together.

I think it was that. Happens easily in dating. He's what, 35 ish and she's quite a bit younger. So he's probably ready for kids in the next few years. She's taken that as "he definitely means with me! This is huge!'. He doesn't, he means very generally he wants children preferably before 40 and very generally that she wouldn't be a terrible mother.

I really hope Jade doesn't get flattered into a fling with Jack. She'd be a fool. She seems quite a straight up person too and I don't think would want to be shown introducing one bloke to her daughter then going off with another.

I haven't seen a series yet though without a swap so it felt like the producers were pushing for it with their chat. Jack may have made himself too toxic though and too many of the ladies have been burnt before to touch such a slippery guy (Eden, Ellie, Sara, Jade all cheated on previously, Lucinda, Nat, Andi not his type (and couldn't find a bargepole long enough), Cass and Lauren too sensible, Maddie not there long enough).

I'm wondering whether Jono will happen to bump into Ellie whilst Lauren is away?

Tim overwhelmed that everyone is on his side!! I'm wondering why Lucinda is single. It's all been about Tim. What are her struggles? As in, I think she may have been going for the hippie tantric dudes more like Richard and discovering their Dickish sides. There could be real potential, I think they'd have to accommodate the differences, but it's not like the down to earth guy and hippie beach babe older couple a few series ago (John and Debbie?) where there was absolutely zero common ground and she just wanted a Polynesian.

I am glad for Andi that this is all on film and she can categorically see she is not going mad.

However, if Richard were to say. Andi, how can we resolve this going forward? There could be hope.

If she were to say to him, for example, please don't go into detail of our private moments or my private history, other than general agreed comments and he agreed, that would be massive.

He makes it all about him and has an unfortunate incapacity to hear feedback and instead hears criticism. Then he railroads other parties to back him up and offer bouquets of sympathy to his wounded sensitivity.

They are stuck in a loop of misunderstanding that could be resolved if he could be willing to hear and make adjustments required in most healthy relationships. But if he's not, then his choice. He might find someone who loves their personal life and history revealed to any available audience and does everything his way.

I’m also v suspicious of the timeline uses of the letters.
first we heard of them was when Ellie complained Ben had sat her down for 2 hours to go through a list of things he didn’t like about her. I thought how weird of Ben at the time, who does that?! It was also portrayed as a weird thing to do on the show.
but since then we have also seen andi do this to Richard , and Sara and Tim. So it is clearly something the producers suggest/ encourage and then use the footage as and when they can at a later date to set people up or create a storyline.

I think we have to take the vast majority of it with a huge pinch of salt!

Great episode. What a tool Dick is. His ex wife must must be feeling very relieved that everyone can see what she was up against.

I really felt for Tim the Elder there. He's a nice guy, I think he will get a huge deal emotionally out of being on the programme.

Agree - I don’t think he’ll end up with Lucinda but I think the growth and learning he has done on the show will enable to go into the world with his heart more open and find his forever love soon.

Totally agree, they will not end up together but will have a great friendship, Lucinda has been so good for him. I want to read his back story but don't want spoilers as I've already been told something about him, so don't want to look and will wait till series is over.

@Floyd45 well, Rich is emotionally abusing Andi in plain sight and he should absolutely change. I don't put this down to 'its his personality and can't be helped'. Zero sympathy and excuses for abusers. It's harming other people and Andi did say she feels like she's going crazy.

Given John has called out Ham and Sara, he really needs to call out Richie
That was abusive at the dinner table.

He gave her the ick because he said at the commitment ceremony that they had spent the day licking, sucking and fucking each other. Quite understandably she was very embarrassed and mortified.
