Timothy's nose always look so red and he sounds pissed all the time, to me.

I have to say if I were Tori I would be pissed off when people told me what I was feeling.

"I've got a room for her " what is Jack on!

It's probably the cupboard where he keeps his blow up doll.

Cazza0104 · 18/04/2024 23:46

Lauren: “He’s gonna run into the Gold Coast Sunset with his nipples hanging out”

…and disappear from view as he merges with it.

mcmen05 · 18/04/2024 23:59

Poor Eden, I know how she feels and anxiety is terrible. The experts really should have not let this happen and took her away to a quite space.
They are also allowing Tori and Lucinda to be treated poorly.

blackoverbillsmothers · 19/04/2024 00:39

Interesting that we only saw client (friends) of Jack. I’d like to have seen his family. Have I missed something? Why weren’t they there? Were they at the wedding?

From what I remember, all of his guests at the wedding were also clients. Really odd. Perhaps his family wanted nothing to do with the show?

It hasn’t got the greatest reputation here in Australia. There has been a lot of criticism about how the mental health of participants is handled, especially when it airs and some participants realise the entire country hates them because they’ve had a certain edit. Or in some cases, rightly so. But we, the viewing public, never really know the truth of what actually went on.

Starlia · 19/04/2024 01:50

Also I think the focus on Jack and Tori’s sex life is somewhat warranted as they both declared themselves as highly sexual people who know immediately if there is a sexual spark there. Tori has that, Jack doesn’t. The group knows that and he is being repeatedly called out for this deception, among many other truly awful things.

Newestname002 · 19/04/2024 06:21

I so wish the producers and, particularly , the so-called "experts" could read the insightful comments, full of basic common sense, that the people on these threads make.

They really should hang their heads in shame at what some of these "contestants" go through on what is an entertainment show. Where is their duty of care for those participating in the experiment? My heart really went out to Eden in this last episode. The difference in her between the shots when she was back in her own home environment, breathing in the fresh sea air on the beach with her dog to her preparation for and attendance at the dinner which Jayden forced her to was extreme.

He is really not mentally intelligent enough to nurture her the way she needs. Those conversations she had with him behind the door before coming into the cocktail party and when he did, eventually, take her away from the dining table, and she was shutting down, broke my heart for her. I really hope she's able to get some proper independent professional therapy (as opposed to what was "provided" by the programme's employees) when this is over. 🌹

Causewerethespecialtwo · 19/04/2024 06:31

Yes Eden needed to be paired with a male version of Lucinda Light.

I think this was a slip up from Jack. You can see he felt uncomfortable after he’d said it.

Their whole relationship is fake. They pretended they had sex - there was no intimacy at all, they were talking is if they’d been on their first picnic or something.

Clearly Tori is hot for him, but he’s not interested at all. So they’ve made a pact to pretend they are having a relationship. They will pretend to have a relationship for 12 months after the show, with her staying in his spare room as a room mate, all the while milking all the appearances, interviews, gain followers etc to make as much money as they can while people remember who they are.

Thats why Tori HATES it and gets flushed and angry whenever anyone criticises their relationship, asks why she blindly puts up with his awful behaviour. She knows they are rumbling their obvious plan and tries to shut it down, to try stop being exposed.

Yes I think the majority have rumbled them. Tim (Elder) asked them if they'd faked having sex to get through to final view I think (can't remember exact wording). Not that he has much of a leg to stand on, considering his non-romantic relationship with Lucinda. 🌹

Totally agree. I was naively pretty shocked to hear they have story editors on the show, who influence the participants ' narrative arc. And it becomes very clear how misrepresented certain pp have been when you listen to interviews with them afterwards on podcasts ( Lara on Eyre is v good at this, she's currently got interviews with Collins and Ben on her show ), where pp often come across very differently and we find out just how much WE, the viewer have been manipulated by the edit!

Deathraystare · 19/04/2024 07:55

Thank Goodness this is repeated on Saturday and Sunday so I can see the bi9ts I missed! I kept wondering where trickey Dickey was!

blue345 · 19/04/2024 08:00

As PPs have said, Jayden is quite fixated on the experts. Not sure whether it's genuine or it's just a useful excuse as he wants to talk about their issues.

Tori seems to have no self awareness of how smug she looks, which is doubly ironic given what a car crash their relationship is. I don't understand Jack - he's clearly not into her but makes the big romantic gesture at the homestay and asks her to move in. It doesn't make sense.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 19/04/2024 08:21

My belief with Tori and Jack is they have deliberately not had sex/pretending they haven't because they intend to do only fans post the show and intend to monetise their physical relationship.

Absolutely gross but that's Jack for you

ComeAgainPlease · 19/04/2024 08:42

Earlier (thread 5) I wondered whether the individuals involved would ever get work again ... But now also wondering about Lizz! Not sure it was worth her portrayal as a jealous offensive viper for her 15 mins of fame. And Jack-off just loved it which 'gave me the ick'. Am slightly addicted to watching but mostly so I can strongly advise friends not to apply for the show.

Rollergirl11 · 19/04/2024 09:28

I don’t understand why Tori didn’t bite back at Jack’s bitch girl mate. She just sat there and took it whilst getting redder and redder but still proclaiming she’s a boss bitch. It wasn’t a realistic exchange whatsoever with no attempt from Tori to stick up for herself. We’ve seen her kick off at people at the dinner parties so we know she’s not shy of confrontation so it just didn’t make sense.

I still keep thinking about poor Eden at the end of the episode. Why didn’t the producers intervene? It was obvious she was in distress. When someone is having a panic attack and experiencing extreme anxiety the focus is on getting them calm as quickly as possible; not attempting to argue with them and acting hostile and accusatory.

It was the same at the home stay with Jayden’s family around the dinner table; he was desperate to get them involved in their disagreement. Jayden is intent on airing all their issues and inviting other people to comment. This might be something that is par for the course in the experiment but it’s a completely abnormal occurrence in the real world. For Jayden it is all black and white and tit for tat and borders on being emotionally controlling. You can now totally see how the incident with his exe girlfriend and punishing her for being unfaithful played out. It’s utterly vile and toxic. Eden needs to get away from Jayden for her own emotional wellbeing.

CardinalCat · 19/04/2024 10:01

Lizz is obviously a deeply spiteful person, but she did say what everyone else was thinking when she said "I think you're trying to make it work for all the wrong reasons".

I mean- that's it in a nutshell.

She knows Jack (and she still likes him/ employs his services, which makes her a bit of a tool, clearly.) But we can presume she knows him pretty well and knows what he's like and thus can absolutely see through this utter SHAM.
The couples must have lots of time away from the cams/ production team in which to have private conversations where they can hatch their plan and Tori and Jack have quite clearly made a pact to keep going with the sham. The "spare room for Tori" comment was a slip of the tongue that confirmed it (as if it wasn't already plainly obvious).
Also all of the times Jack says "good job" when tori delivers her scripted lines perfectly.

Now, if the show runners could get evidence of this fake pact and expose the sham, THAT would be the ultimate telly. But they won't even try (even if they have their suspicions) because it will make their job harder in future seasons if they're expected to sniff out frauds. They need the frauds to be on situ in order to make the show "dramatic" enough. It's not about finding love- it's about great telly (and I'm here for it.) Grin

Why would a show runner expose it? They're the ones pulling the strings

3luckystars · 19/04/2024 10:10

But why, WHY???

Do they get extra money the longer they stay? What’s the point in flogging a dead horse when the relationship is doomed. Are the experts convincing them to stay so that they can figure out their issues for future relationships?

Are they all dopes?
Or is there something financially to be gained because Jack and Tori are not fooling anyone. There are no feelings there. It’s like they are trying to prove a point, it’s weird.

Italiangreyhound · 19/04/2024 10:11

What was it Jack said about sex? It's mostly about the man's performance?

Rollergirl11 · 19/04/2024 10:15

But why, WHY???

I assume that it’s all for the exposure? The longer you’re in it the more you get? Some people are just desperate to be on TV, innit.

Jesus, imagine living in Jack’s world. 🤯 He’s hilariously delulu and if he genuinely believes that then you just no he doesn’t fucken bring it in the sack!

mcmen05 · 19/04/2024 10:26

Tori would have been better sticking with Lauren as a friend and doing something together.
Jack is ruining her.
