I hope Lucinda gets custody of the dogs. It looks like she could give them a lovely life in her beautiful house overlooking the ocean. I’d move in with her tomorrow.

Oohh. I'm unsure I'd wish the dogs on her, however much they're comfortable with each other. She'd have to put the work in to train them to toilet properly for a start (a job Tim should have done) as well as take the time and expense to train them, pay for vets fees etc. She's put in enough time in their owner with little as her reward. 🌹

MaggieFS

"Do over? Does that mean come back again? Have they done that before? (I only started watching last series).

Lucinda, Cass and the chap paired with the fruit loop (Ash?) all deserve one."

Yes, they allowed John to come back for a second visit and also a lady called Lizzie.

But Cass and Lucinda are even more deserving of a second chance.

Newestname002 · 17/04/2024 13:15

@Turtonator

Petition for Lucinda to have a do-over next season.

Good idea but could trust the "Ixperts" be trusted not to mess up yet again? 🌹

NarwhalsJustDontLetEmTouchYourBalls · 17/04/2024 13:16

So, now that we are 2 months in, who would you want to be MAFS to?

For me, it is Johnno. People say he's boring, but so what. We can all see what an arse ache the other blokes are. Being married to them comes at a very high personal cost. They'd end up sucking the life blood out of you.

I love Johnno's even temper (my DH has this) and his mild manner. I love his little chuckles. Last night when he was shirtless on the beach wasn't too bad either. I think him and Lauren are a very good match TBH. Hot heads and calm men do go. DH and I are like this and we have been together for 30 years.

So,

Johnno
I also like Tim the younger, but I think he's a bit needy.

Floyd45 · 17/04/2024 13:16

Feel so sorry for Lucinda - Tim clearly doesn't fancy her - she's just his therapist. She deserves better.

Also feeling sorry for Eden - she looks so anxious and sad. I think Jayden is very black and white and he is going to spoil something good. She wants to move on and he keeps banging on about the same point - typical immature boy. I actually think that they DO need some proper counselling to get through the mess they have found themselves in.

I hope that the deeeeeeecccc preview about Ridge being immature is to throw us off the scent of a good home visit - I have high hopes for him and Jade.

Also looking forward to seeing what goes down with Tori and Jack. Is it just me but at every "couch session" the experts are trying to tell Tori what a horrible human being Jack is and I keep thinking "well you chose him for her"? I thought the whole purpose of the show was for the contestants to "trust the process" and work things through and that it's not about instant chemistry etc....I think that the experts need to put their hands up and admit that they're not very good at spotting wrong-uns in the screening process!

icelollycraving · 17/04/2024 13:29

The men are horrendous this season. Ben, Collins, Dick,Jack. Johnno is ok, bit spineless. Tim is ok. Jayden I personally can’t get over the Vincent from Beauty and the Beast resemblance. I’d probably go for Tim the Elder and regret my life 🤣

icelollycraving · 17/04/2024 13:40

I do actually like Ridge though. I’m old enough to be his mum so they would be an odd choice.

WhisperGold · 17/04/2024 13:56

A few days ago it looked like this thread was ready to nominate Timothy for next Pope.
I think he's been a miserable, aggressive twat.

MagpiePi · 17/04/2024 14:04

Red flag for me about Jayden last night - when he was talking to his brother and the brother said 'I wouldn't let a woman control me like that' and Jayden just nodded and agreed.
It was the way he said 'woman', not 'partner' or 'someone I'm in a relationship with'. It just came across as quite misogynistic, and implying that it was time Jayden started putting Eden in her place and showing her who's boss.

Also, flowers 5 times and week and stuff strikes me as a love-bombing behaviour. And then when he said to her that when she tells him he's done something that upsets her he immediately learns from it and changes and moves on. Hmmm.

They made the exact observation in the MAFS Hysteria podcast last night about this, that his brother said he wouldn't let a WOMAN control him.

They also brought up something interesting about Elder Tim and his 7 hour walk about... it's not a spoiler by any stretch, but I won't detail it, but even so, despiste his 'excuse', he needed to communicate this with Lucinda.

noonesayscheese · 17/04/2024 14:23

The ixperts have to work with what they've got. Let's be honest, they're not wading through thousands of audition tapes themselves and finding perfect matches. Some audition for it, so are even approached as producers know they'd make good telly. Then it's whittled down to a relative handful and the ixperts are sort of forced to place the dickheads or those who desperately need therapy with those who genuinely want and are emotionally ready to find love. They probably wouldn't have picked half of the these people for the show if it was 100% down to the ixperts to 'cast', they'd have gone for genuine/ready people, but that doesn't make good telly, does it.

Floofydawg · 17/04/2024 14:25

@noonesayscheese agree with this 100%. Mitch comes across as a twat but then we knew that already. Also, how is asking someone not to shit stir 'controlling'?

Turtonator · 17/04/2024 15:19

Jono's laugh is lovely, it really changes him. I'm so glad Lauren is back, it would have been such a loss for her to go weeks ago (dinner party / leash thing).

Deathraystare · 17/04/2024 15:23

Really cross with Tim the Elder last night. The only thing he didn't do to make Lu "welcome" is chuck dog shit at her! His flat "only room for one" flat is very telling and he could not even be bothered to toilet train his dogs! As for leaving Lu for 7 hours while he fucks off with a friend, she should have buggered back to Byron Bay and left a "fuck you" note ( know she is too much of a lady!)

Doesn't sound good for Tori with those harpies does it??!!

Catlord · 17/04/2024 15:54

Felt for Eden. She didn't have the confidence or maybe the vocabulary to explain herself and just had to accept a pass ag dressing down from Judge Jayden and his cold fish brother.

Big Tim let himself down by not making Lucinda welcome and setting out a plan for time together and apart. She would have been fine to amuse herself. Absolutely no need to be truculent about it and disappear. Glad she's heard what the friend was saying. That picnic was her drawing a line, I reckon. Might lead to a big apology from him but they've not much time left.

Jade's family look quite grim faced in the clips, hope they're not too hard on Ridge when he's been good to her.

.

MaggieFS · 17/04/2024 16:16

Until last night, I think I've said Tim the Elder was a troubled soul but decent guy. He's never dicked Lucinda about, always been respectful but just hasn't fancied her. Buggering off like that last night with no notification was just rude. No excuse for that.

Turtonator · 17/04/2024 17:09

But has Tim the Elder been respectful to her? He's gone off before for a sulk for hours and left her tidying up their apartment. He complained about her going to bed without a shirt on then went off and made the spare room his bedroom (Man Cave). I can't see anything that he's given her except a big wedge of insecurity about how desirable she is.

MaggieFS · 17/04/2024 17:23

Fair points @Turtonator. Perhaps respectful isn't the best term to use. Perhaps more what I mean is that it seemed like she knew the rationale? I don't know. I'll have to read cam to what I'd written 🤦‍♀️

JellyBeanFactory · 17/04/2024 17:23

Where did Tim go for 7-hours?? Was he out drinking or shagging an ex (a la Sara) or did he really just need to clear his head with a trusted friend?

dapsnotplimsolls · 17/04/2024 17:34

Jayden and Mitch are a right pair of pricks.

YouMustBeHappyNow · 17/04/2024 17:42

Who is Mitch?

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 17/04/2024 17:44

@YouMustBeHappyNow Jayden's brother and former MAFS AUS husband.

Rowleywaykid · 17/04/2024 17:47

YouMustBeHappyNow · 17/04/2024 17:42

Who is Mitch?

He was paired with Ella on a previous Aussie Mafs and he didn’t treat her well at all. He came across as very unpleasant and cocky.

Newestname002 · 17/04/2024 17:59

@MagpiePi

Yes I also took notice of the way the two brothers, but especially Mitch, sounded so misogynistic about controlling women and how he in particular would respond to any such incident. Perhaps Eden would be better off not joining that family. 🌹

AmiShitsaline · 17/04/2024 18:22

I really sympathise with Tim, being an introvert I would be mentally exhausted by all the constant need to talk about feelings, I don’t know why they have to keep badgering him about it. I can’t blame him for wanting to go out with his mate and have a break from the constant therapy talk. I think Lucinda has been good with him but it would drive me up the wall. The best times they had was when they were giggling about the Jack and Tori letter, it seemed very natural and brought them closer.
