Yes I think featuring Levi has been intentional and he will believe Yolande.

GloriousintheArctic · 09/05/2024 08:38

I'm sure Levi will do his best, but that will amount to not much. When she was talking to Elaine, it was clear Yolande doesn't even really know what she expects to happen. The Church cannot take her word for it and the pastor will deny it. And ask why she hasn't gone to the police. So someone will have to do some digging about why he left his previous parishes.

George and his brain... I'm not that interested.

And as for Billy...

the80sweregreat · 09/05/2024 08:47

George fell down well I think !
Other than that , both storylines with him and the Billy one are just boring.

Southeastdweller · 09/05/2024 09:39

I’m also bored with those two stories. I wish The Six story had continued for longer.

The six was fun and I liked the dynamic and drama of it all. Even if it was very silly. I guess they couldn't carry on and had to wrap it up quickly.
Bernie is brave to work in the cafe again after what happened, she seems kind of resigned to it all a bit.

GloriousintheArctic · 09/05/2024 11:21

I thought the same about Bernie, she seems very relaxed now about her brother having been buried under her workplace floor!

The Billy storyline is so annoying, he's behaving like an 8 year old. Never mind soon we will have WhitWhit trapped in a van.

the80sweregreat · 09/05/2024 11:28

A taco van ! When did they have such a thing on the square ? The bap van , but not a taco one ?

And sure why wouldn't she resign herself to going back to work in the cafe... sure it's not as if there's anywhere else she could work... she lives in such a rural, isolated area.* *🙄

the80sweregreat · 09/05/2024 11:52

You have to live and work in Walford and not away from the square otherwise you may have to pay fares or get on trains or buses.
It's the EE rules ( along with having tea and cakes in the new cafe and going to every event held in the Vic even if your skint )
Lauren managed a job at canary wharf once.. it didn't last long as was outside ' the rules ' and had to stop for plot purposes.

the80sweregreat · 09/05/2024 15:54

Poor Elaine today ..
never hang round doors in EE

Southeastdweller · 09/05/2024 16:49

Harriet Thorpe did a great job in that last scene. Her facial reaction seemed so real - conveying the hurt and sadness.

I think this happens on the Hen night doesn't it? My friend hired a fish and chip van to cater her birthday, so maybe the taco van is catering the Hen?

the80sweregreat · 09/05/2024 16:56

Ahh! That makes sense re the van.

Bianca turned up in it. She'd driven it from Milton Keynes.

Of course she did I forgot. nobody can just arrive on the bus can they 😀

I caught up with yesterday's this afternoon I'm glad Yolande told Levi and he definitely believed her whether the church believes or not is another matter.

This is a bit random but did anybody notice when George's family was in the hospital corridor that the guy being pushed in the wheelchair past them looked like Zack but he was hiding his face?

the80sweregreat · 09/05/2024 17:26

No, I didn't notice Zac in the wheelchair, but intrigued enough to watch that bit again ! I wonder if it's to save on ' extras ' ? .. if it's him
The hospital scenes amaze me that it's always empty and they see a doctor immediately!

the80sweregreat · 09/05/2024 17:27

Of course , Bianca's van ( lucky's van !)

Meredusoleil · 09/05/2024 18:44

Was it just me/my TV, or did last night's episode keep having the background sound cutting out, so it would go completely silent?!?

GloriousintheArctic · 10/05/2024 08:27

Oh was Bianca in a taco van? I should have known that would at some point be relevant!

The sound was okay for me last night, I was watching it 'live'.

I felt we were going round in circles a bit last night, particularly with the George storyline. He's not fighting, he is fighting, he's arguing with Cindy... I wonder what Elaine will do now. She's got two problems on her hands, the fight and Cindy.

Patrick annoyed me again last night. After shouting at the pastor, he talked to Y about going away together for a few weeks, how was that left? They seem ridiculously naive to think Yolande 'has done all she needs to' and the pastor will now be instantly thrown into the wilderness. No doubt he will shortly be shouting at Levi.

I thought Stevie's speech to Billy about all his friends dying, was well written and delivered. Billy still like an 8 year old being told by mummy to behave nicely.

It definitely looked like him I thought an extra maybe didn't turn up 😂

Mrsjayy · 10/05/2024 08:42

I watched live last night the sound was fine, it was probably iplayer.

the80sweregreat · 10/05/2024 09:14

The George merry go round is just annoying
You'd think he'd be too worried about running the pub and earning a living than fighting and becoming ill.
Now Elaine will be hurt over the kiss and the whole thing will go on and on.

When Bianca rolled up to the Square in The Taco Van , SuperSonia was all fishwifey Oi you can't park that here
Obviously didn't want that tatty old heap outside her door .
Though it's Resident Parking Bays in the Square ( being just round the corner from the Tube ) so B would have to sweet talk Sonia for some permits or pay the ££ parking meters.
You couldn't just park there if you were out of town -though I;ve never seen a Warden on the Square .

the80sweregreat · 10/05/2024 10:47

I do recall a warden once : no idea when or how or what the story was!
They would be rife in real life around those parts
On the prowl all the time
