Welcome to the EE spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can also read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

I'd love Minty to come back - he was a lovely man!

GloriousintheArctic · 30/04/2024 21:37

There were a lot of things in that episode I couldn’t care less about. Lauren full of self pity, Bianca having a row, WhitWhit emoting, and Billy’s dad. Is Billy’s dad supposed to be ‘what George’s dad would have been like if he hadn’t actually been a murderer’? Because this seems very repetitive. And where were all the kids when they were having their row?

The one bright point was Yolande and Jean. Jean is a wonderful character, such empathy and listening skills with a lightness of touch.

Action packed episode today. Poor Lexi, one thing after another for her.

Southeastdweller · 01/05/2024 10:27

I would have preferred for Stevie to have joined forces with Nadine and continue to fleece Jay rather than expose her. It would have been more interesting than the inevitable personality transplant plot device probably coming up where Stevie becomes a loveable rogue and loving grandfather.

I like it when they have old actors in EE. Gloria, Eddie and Stevie are all good actors and I think they should make some of them regulars. Much better than some of the younger ones. Plus I've always had a soft spot for Patrick.

Eastie77Returns · 01/05/2024 11:51

The older actors tend to show the gulf in acting ability between their cohort and some of today’s younger ones. I don’t know if it’s because older actors are more likely to have been formally trained.

There are very few natural child actors like e.g. Janine, Stacey and Ian who were consistently very good from a young age.

I still think he’s up to no good - he was just quick thinking and turned the situation to his advantage to get in the family’s good books.

Just catching up I love Bianca but I forgot how loud she is! What is it with .dad's just turning up.

the80sweregreat · 01/05/2024 13:17

Do we think Stevie will hang around ?
At least Nadine has been found out quickly.

Mrsjayy · 01/05/2024 13:47

I've not seen todays yesterday's seemed to drag on for 3 hours 😂 I know Reiss told on Whitney by accident but I'm pleased she was caught you can't just buy children because you feel sorry for them.

the80sweregreat · 01/05/2024 13:56

It's the continuous coincidences that get me.
Reiss in the chicken shop whilst Whit is speaking to the teacher ( as if that would happen , Reiss is normally about healthier eating especially as Son is now pregnant too!)
Now plotless Stevie was in the pie shop the same time as Nadine ( being suspicious with her dealer just 2 minutes walk away from Jay and co)
You'd at least meet up away from the square

the80sweregreat · 01/05/2024 13:57

Pot less , not plot less I mean

Mrsjayy · 01/05/2024 15:03

Just go somewhere else indeed,!

Bluesandwhites · 01/05/2024 21:33

Tonight's EE episode, did you see the look of seething, cold hatred on Jay's face in the closing scene?
In RL, no one like s being taken for a mug, but it will be interesting to see the follow on now, I bet Jay will be a changed man.

GloriousintheArctic · 02/05/2024 08:15

@Southeastdweller I couldn’t take any more evil grandads tbh, I think Stevie will continue to be an iffy character, he saw outing Nadine as his way in, and I suspect he won’t tell anyone about the money he pocketed. But I liked his scenes with Lexi. I’m glad the decision was made to wrap up the non pregnancy storyline so quickly.

I’m in two minds about Bianca. I liked her character back in the day but she is such a loose cannon. And it’s weird because she was quite subdued in MK but here he’s shouting the odds non stop. Anyway Britney is back so paying for a child and not bothering to tell the authorities is apparently okay.

I see there is a head injury story looming for George. George is getting such a lot of action, he'll be burnt out by Christmas.

kerstina · 02/05/2024 08:37

Stevie is so annoying .Talks in cliches. Keep expecting him to break out into some kind of cockney dance. The script writer must surely be young stereotyping an older man.

NadiaCravensworth · 02/05/2024 09:22

and Nadine pausing a lot ....... while speaking ......... its like ............. thats how .......... she was told ............... actors do ..................it

Actually I quite liked him. Yes he’s a stereotypical cockney old geezer but you do get his sort around pockets of the east end now.

I was in a charity shop sort of Hoxton/Hackney way the other week and bumped into a few east end characters including the woman who ran the charity shop who was proper east end. A bit like George’s mum.

the80sweregreat · 02/05/2024 09:33

Lexi was much more convincing than Na dine yesterday. Her little scene with Stevie in the launderette was very well done.

Bianca is way too loud. Does she just have one volume?!

Actually, now you say it… why don’t they get Riiiiccckkkaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy back?! Fireworks then eh?!

And the way she comes straight into everyone’s business 🤣🫣. Cringe.

Ok I stand corrected ! I am never in London. I really liked George’s Mum .Shame they killed her off.

Nice to see Olly Alexander in todays show
Nice plug for Eurovision there.

NadiaCravensworth · 02/05/2024 20:57

i was glad they said who he was

GloriousintheArctic · 02/05/2024 21:55

I enjoyed the Stevie storylining, he gave the money back and seems to genuinely want to be helpful. Billy will spend a few weeks with a face like a slapped backside but I am team Stevie.

The Ollie Alexander section was a bit stilted, but nice idea.

Poor Yolande. I am glad this is drawing to a close.
