Welcome to the EE spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can also read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Thanks for the new thread

I fast forwarded through all the auction stuff, it is so dire.

So the woman was a friend of George's late mother, she did look around the right age when we saw her clearly. This is a great and very disturbing storyline. I think George has gone to have a word with Eddie. Again.

They have had some very good storylines recently but they do end up laying it on a bit thick. I can't see how some of these characters can survive events - Linda and Denise, now George. Never mind the rest of his storyline, if you realised decades later you'd seen your adoptive father beat your birth father to death, you'd need years of therapy.

howdyho · 14/03/2024 09:10

I thought they laid it on a bit thick too with George's mother dying just 4 months ago, so much trauma!

Southeastdweller · 14/03/2024 09:27

I agree it was a bit much. I don't know where the story can go now, it feels like it's reached a premature dead end.

I watched it this morning and was gutted for George, I wasn't expecting the woman to be his mum that's far too cheery for Ee but I was expecting family maybe an Aunt , poor George.

NoisyBrain · 14/03/2024 14:35

Surely George will want to find his brothers, after the initial shock has passed.

I hope so would be nice for him.

Mrsjayy · 14/03/2024 16:19

apart from the whole murder thing. I bet George's story isn't rare and people were never reunited with their families.

sixnearlyseven · 14/03/2024 18:36

It happens more often than not in Long lost family shows

Southeastdweller · 14/03/2024 19:31

I tuned out watching the convo with George and Angela, it was too distracting seeing a woman look the same age as George pretending to be one of his mum's old mates (who would be in her 70s at least?). But yes it would be nice if George could go and find his brothers. And get some therapy.

I was the opposite! I found it intriguing that she knew so many details about George's mum, considering she never spoke about him and lived in Ghana?!? Or was she studying in London?

GloriousintheArctic · 15/03/2024 14:03

How did Denise manage to discharge herself when she's been sectioned? Then back in the Square she gave the Six a pep talk that it's time they all just got over it, and fed Jack a pack of lies, even Jack isn't that stupid surely.

I wonder if Sharon's ever coming back.

It wasn't really clear what George had been up to - did he go and see Eddie?

Mrsjayy · 15/03/2024 14:20

I don't know anything about being sectioned but I always thought it was 28 days, and you just couldn't sign yourself out.

the80sweregreat · 15/03/2024 18:02

No news on Sharon next week but Martin comes back from Oz and discovers Jack n Stacey kissing apparently!

It’s up to 28 days. They can discharge you before, by either rescinding the section or letting you go on leave from the hospital considering how ill Denise was though, it’s unusual. Often if they’re discharged early or sent on leave the Home Treatment Team often follows them up for a week or 2 but this hasn’t happened with Denise.

Spidey66 · 15/03/2024 19:08

Bunionbabe · 13/03/2024 16:46

But some of the age differences are already ridiculous. Jade looks older than Dean and Ravi's daughter looks about 25 and she's supposed to be 13.

I can’t tell the daughter from the mum!

Spidey66 · 15/03/2024 19:09

Ps loved Eve getting all stroppy about ULEZ!!!!!

ah ok thanks for clearing it up for me , I did honestly think 28 days was minimum for a section.

the80sweregreat · 15/03/2024 19:50

ULEZ !! That was funny.
😆 obviously Eve hasn't a car ' round the corner '

fleurneige · 15/03/2024 19:52

So hope George finds his brothers in Ghana and more family, and gets to visit soon.

the80sweregreat · 15/03/2024 19:55

I hope that George's siblings don't want to live with him , they are full up!
Maybe they could rent one of jacks places ?

the80sweregreat · 18/03/2024 14:13

Monday's episode;
Jean getting Jade an appointment with a GP , who then comes out to see her really is the stuff of fiction and I can't even do my usual its ' poetic licence ' stance for this!
We didn't see Jean ring a GP surgery or 111 or anything first ( or even Super Sonia )
Martin comes back from Oz at just the right moment too , what are the odds of that one ??

Southeastdweller · 19/03/2024 07:39

I haven’t watched today’s episode yet, but I read that Martin has already told some people about Stacey and Jack.

There’s rumours that Ben leaves next week and in a low key exit. I doubt he’ll be getting the Julia’s Theme in his last scene.

Mrsjayy · 19/03/2024 10:37

I think Ben gets arrested for something he did in America when Lola was dying.

the80sweregreat · 19/03/2024 10:53

Trying to think what Ben might have done!
He went to America to try and find a consultant to take on Lola for revolutionary treatment or something and wasn't gone that long.
She's been gone over a year now I think so goodness knows what went on there
It sounds a bit dreamt up in order to quietly write him out. At least his not being killed off
I wonder if he'll return with a ' new head ' one day ?
