Never in a million years would an old school bloke answer to 'Stevie'. Too poncy and the 'ie' ending is girlie. It's just 'Steve' . I like him, he has the look of an older Adam Faith.

Tbf my stepdad knows a couple of Stevies. Steve isn't really used here, It Is Steven or Stevie

Apart from Stevie Wonder, I've never heard of any men called or being referred to as 'Stevie', not in real life or in any TV show I've seen. I know there was a female poet called Stevie (Smith).

George's Son has been cast and announced so Junior is on his way.

It's an actor that was in Emmerdale Micah Balfour, I don't watch it I've no.idsa who he is.

Maybe the script writer (who lift ideas from here I;m sure) thought Oh this fake pregnancy story isn't working is it

Prediction:

George goes into a downward spiral after beibg excluded from Glorias funeral.
He will visit Eddie for closure but Eddie will be very spiteful and goading (the actor was brilliant at the last visit going from Poor Me , dishevelled old man to utter pure evil in a nanosecond )

George will get more involved in illegal fights ( Philth will ban him from the Boxing Club for his own good)

George will be beaten to a pulp a whisker from death.
Junior steps in to save him as Surprise Surprise , he'll be the new GP at the Panesaar Family Prractice .
Sonia and Reiss are pregnant now she cannot handle the whole practice

I grew up in the East end and I think they have Stevie spot on as an old school cockney.

Bit bored of it all at the moment tbh. Whitney's leaving is so drawn out. The most exciting thing is Chelsea's wardrobe.

He was in it for a year and had a controversial storyline but my viewing was patchy so I may have not watched much that year!

I did wonder about Stevie's health, what with the cigs. You so rarely see anyone smoking on screen nowadays, I think the last regular smoker was Dot. I do find Stevie an odd name for an 80 year old, just because I have never known a Stevie but have known Eddies and Ronnies (I'm an ex Londoner).

They probs think that Yolande has early onset dementia or something like that I suppose

Round here Stevie is not an unusual name for men. I know 2 and they are both over 60.

I know a few Steve's and Stephen's ( boomers) and they don't like Stevie even as a joke nickname!
He looks more like a Ronnie or an Ernie to me.
I wonder if he'll stay in it or if Charlie will rock up ?

As an aside, I get saff London vibes from Stevie and I just googled and the actor was born in Walworth.

Whitney's leaving has been dragged out too long and bound to end in tears for her.
Yolande isn't herself ( understandably)
Linda is annoying how she won't tackle her dependency on drink.
Few stories are just left hanging too

The Stevie actor does seem 'authentic'. My gran's family were from Walworth. The most popular men's names seemed to be Alf and Charlie, there were a few of them. There was also a Basil - now that's not a name you hear nowadays!

I was thinking the same about Linda, @the80sweregreat but Kellie is such a great drunk I almost don't mind. There aren't many actors who can do 'drunk' so well.

I agree that Kellie Bright is very good as Linda..
It's sad she is still drinking though. Although you can't wonder at it I guess !

Steve McFadden plays an excellant drunk Phil (though not now as Phil is T-T)

The bit where he's standing on his steps , pissed as a fart I know who you are ...I'm going to tan your hides then . "Bang" and the look of shock as he tumbles down the steps to sprawl on the pavement .....
