Australian Traitors Season 2: Spoilers!! Spoilers!!

For all those who have WATCHED Season 2 on Daily Motion and wish to discuss ... SPOILERS

The ending. What a blinder Camille played! And Sam still trying to talk her out of it. I would have done exactly the same.

I can't remember most contestant's names now but it was extraordinary how every time someone suspected Sam he deflected onto them and off they were banished. I couldn't work out if he was a genius or the rest of them were extraordinarily stupid. I certainly wouldn't be pleased if that psychologist woman was my therapist, dumb to the very last moment.

Thank you!

Why was he trying to talk her our of it? It was too late, she'd made her decision. And I don't know what he means by "I deserved it because I worked so hard". They all worked hard and most of them didn't have the advantage of being a Traitor.

If he and Blake were so sure that Camille would vote Share, they could still have voted Share. They wanted to screw her over and I'm sure that if it had gone down to standard 2 player Split or Steal (remember that?) they'd still have betrayed each other. So why did Sam think he deserved any better?

NonPlayerCharacter · 23/01/2024 16:46

Oh, and the "if I'd been in your place I'd have let you have the money"...First, no you absolutely wouldn't and second, if that's true, why not share the money now?

Oh that crappy host. Imagine what Claudia would have done with that scenario!!

periodiclabel · 23/01/2024 16:57

He would always have screwed Camille and Blake over ... I was terrified Camille would fall under his spell at the last fence, but no! Good woman.

I did feel sorry for them, though. That's a crushing disappointment at the last moment.

periodiclabel · 23/01/2024 17:03

I felt sorry for Blake, but honestly Sam had it coming!

Oh! Ignore me! I thought this was a new season! Yes I watched that one. The ending was amazing!

Stowickthevast · 23/01/2024 18:29

I found I had to forward wind through most of the last few episodes as I was so frustrated that Sam was getting away with it. After Annabel & Luke set it all out for them and they still didn't get it, there was no hope.

But the ending was glorious especially Sam's self righteous anger that Camille had done to him exactly what he had done to her.

I think he tried to justify it afterwards by saying she was rich so didn't need the money, but kudos to her. She said he refuses to speak to her now.

periodiclabel · 23/01/2024 19:19

I can’t see why she would want to speak to him 😂

I haven't watched the full series so maybe I should...I hear Sam was really, really unlikeable to viewers. I don't know if you can get that far as a Traitor and stay broadly likeable. Feel free to carry on with spoilers, I'm not bothered about them since I already know the grand finale.

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 23/01/2024 19:56

It my goodness how much were they all under the spell of 'the sheriff' ? I was watching it in between a uk series 2 break and I couldn't get over how Paul suddenly seemed perfectly ok compared to him.

Maybe they were really clueless as many of the faithful seem to be in every series.. but my goodness it was like he cast a spell on them all!! I really didn't like him as a person - he played a brilliant traitor but he was so condescending and rude about the other players

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 23/01/2024 20:06

Yes I did really feel sorry for Blake. He was a decent man.

TitsInAbsentia · 23/01/2024 20:19

Wasn't it a glorious ending! I just couldn't work out how he charmed everyone...I mean how could that smarmy side of him not come out at all?! Camille made me cheer so much 😂

periodiclabel · 23/01/2024 22:10

Urgh I’d already forgotten about “the sheriff.” I’m sure the producers were egging him on but he came across as a psychopath- so really alarming to see everyone seemingly hypnotised

And @NonPlayerCharacter the point was Sam swore blind they’d split the cash three ways then reneged, then was furious when he found out Camille had lied to him too (and Blake but he’d brought Camille in specifically to manipulate her). So nothing to feel sorry for, if he hadn’t been such a snake the others would probably have gone for the 3-way share

I've just started on NZ traitors because I have no life!

If anyone wants to join we can have a thread when we've watched.

Infuriatingly, I have to miss Uk Traitors tonight and tomorrow so am going to be avoiding all social media/news outlets until Friday night when I have a chance to rapidly binge watch before the final

Stay off X!

Stowickthevast · 24/01/2024 17:25

I watched it @periodiclabel I binge watched that, Aus S2 and Canada before this one started....I may have a problem.

I thought it was quite good.

RedPanda25 · 25/01/2024 12:34

Arghhh Sam annoyed me so much at the end!! I'm glad Camille did that but I'm sad for Blake. How did I watch NZ traitors please?!

periodiclabel · 25/01/2024 15:10

But Blake was also right panning to steal the cash! You reap what you sow

you can watch NZ on daily motion

OP posts:
NonPlayerCharacter · 25/01/2024 15:22

I think they each knew the other one would steal and planned to do it himself and that's why they recruited Camille.

That worked out well!

I did read an interview with Sam later and as awful as he is, I felt he had a point...Camille had said several times that she was wealthy and didn't need the money, and she was in her 50s and settled and secure. So he felt that she should have split even if she knew they were going to steal and she could have made it clear that she knew what was going on so she wouldn't have been a fool, but it would have been a nice thing to do.

I see his point, but of course that's not how the game works...and to an extent they all internalise their roles (game doesn't work otherwise) and why would she be inclined to help him when he intended to betray her? She said that it was a game and making her wealth a part of it was basically a low blow.

Interesting situation.

periodiclabel · 25/01/2024 15:41

Camille is totally right! If he wanted the money so badly he should have been sincere about splitting it, she might have donated him her third. No sympathy whatsoever! Karma is a bitch.

Watched this series on BBC iPlayer. After Luke and Annabel told the faithful who the traitors were it was amazing they were still there at the end….. it was a brilliant ending so glad Sam did not get the Silver!

periodiclabel · 26/01/2024 20:00

Hasn’t realised it was on IPlayer now!
