For all those who have WATCHED Season 2 on Daily Motion and wish to discuss ... SPOILERS

The ending. What a blinder Camille played! And Sam still trying to talk her out of it. I would have done exactly the same.

I can't remember most contestant's names now but it was extraordinary how every time someone suspected Sam he deflected onto them and off they were banished. I couldn't work out if he was a genius or the rest of them were extraordinarily stupid. I certainly wouldn't be pleased if that psychologist woman was my therapist, dumb to the very last moment.

It was both fascinating and frustrating to watch Sam manipulate them so easily 😤

Liam could have pointed out that everyone he named was fed to him by Sam - unless he didn’t see that. And it is different to live it than watch edited highlights.

I was thrilled Sam got his comeuppance at the end and was willing that ending vocally at the TV!

I don’t feel sorry for Blake. He had opportunities to get rid of Sam if only by repeating other people’s theories. He was just as prepared to steal and, for all of them, it was a gamble. And the house usually wins when people get greedy. Camille was playing the part of the house.

WilloTheWispy · 31/01/2024 23:33

I’ve just finished this on iPlayer. Yee Gods. I don’t think I’ve ever shouted so much at the telly. How stupid were those people!! Dumb dumbs was very appropriate.
I can’t believe how many missed opportunities they had re Sam. He was just a huge irritant. That ‘sheriff’ nonsense - Jesus.
I’m very glad Camille did what she did, as he was so convinced he had the whole thing sown up. The cocky, arrogant shit.
Blake missed his chances and paid the price.

MumOfOneAwesomeHuman · 01/02/2024 07:48

I don't think I've ever disliked a contestant as much as Sam. He got what he deserved.

What shocked me was how stupid the majority of the contestants were, going into banishment with a plan then letting Sam turn it on one of them and everyone doing his bidding. No wonder he had that ego!

But Sam and Blake were stupid too and their greed got the better of them, if they'd voted Camille off then the two of them would have won. And let's face it Sam could easily have got Sarah to turn on Blake and won the lot.

Sarah was so ridiculously weak, easily turned every time so she deserved what she got.

Camille is an absolute legend. Great to see Sam crumble and go home with nothing.

ellebelli · 01/02/2024 11:26

Obviously I've not read the thread I'm on episode 2
Just wondering if this is all about who won or a more general spoiler thread..probably can't read until the end anyway 🤔

The two of them wouldn't have because Sam would still have shafted Blake even if he had managed to persuade Blake he would share at the end.

But they wouldn't have had the Traitors dilemma. If they got rid of Camille, it would be Sam, Blake, Sarah and they would split the win. But Sam could easily have then, with Sarah, got Blake out and taken the lot BUT thank goodness for Camille because the idea of Sam getting anything is galling.

Ah yes. I see what you mean. Sneaky Sam would have been able to persuade Sappy Sarah again.

I was literally screaming at them every time they didn't banish him.

And punched the air when Camille had the last laugh.

H34th · 01/02/2024 14:55

Gosh, that ending was so satisfying!
If Sam had won I'd be angry. He is the most annoying person ever.

How can it be so obvious from the start to two people and the rest be so oblivious even at the end?!

Blake and Camille could've voted Sam off when Liam made it so clearly he's voting for him. That was the mistake that lost them the money. And they both look like good people so a bit of a shame.

Lentilweaver · 01/02/2024 15:01

I am sad about Simone. She seemed pretty cool.

Most of the round table sessions went like this. Woman accuses Sam, laying out a list of evidence.
Sam: Are you sure you are not a traitor? You seem to have flown under the radar.
Sarah: Nods 500 times like a nodding dog.
Keith: You seem very loud. If you were a Faithful, you would shut up and listen to my vast experience.
Everyone votes for the woman.

Keith was even stupider than the rest. I have no idea why he gave that long pompous speech. I would have pretended to be a house painter!

bookbagbook · 01/02/2024 15:04

Simone and Hannah got Annabel banished. They were pretty bitchy about it too.

Lentilweaver · 01/02/2024 15:07

Well yes, but there wasn't as much evidence against Sam then, and there certainly was later, which the rest of them ignored ( including Hannah, who wasn't the brightest).

bookbagbook · 01/02/2024 15:50

Hannah was soo annoying. If I remember correctly even when she said she's voting Sam, she gave up pretty quickly and voted Keith or something...

Agree re Keith. He came across misogynistic, imo, dismissing good points because they were made by young women...

Most of them were annoying. Liam. Omg. How looong did it take for the penny to drop?! And when it did - 'why is it just me thinking that?'- duh! There's five people left and at least two are traitors - how many people exactly do you expect to vote with you!

eish · 01/02/2024 16:58

I couldn't have written a better ending. No Faithfuls deserved that money because they were rubbish at the game and I am not one to say it is easy but they just didn't pick up on any clues or listen to themselves. And I loathed Sam. So to see him fall like that was purely brilliant.

motheronthedancefloor · 01/02/2024 20:01

OMG I didnt realise there was a thread for this.
Harry pisses me off big style. What a cocky little shit. You can tell Roger really dislikes him too.
I don't like the celebrity / real person mix.
The woman with glasses (Sarah?), she reminds me of the character of Lolly from OITNB
Camille for the win, maybe the older guy too.

motheronthedancefloor · 01/02/2024 20:03

oh shit, is there a final episode. That's me properly spoiled now. Serves me right for not reading PP

H34th · 01/02/2024 20:35

What I found interesting about the Australian version is how not one of the faithfuls kept their cards close to their chest - no time biding, waiting for the numbers to add up, etc.
As soon as they had an inclination they would talk about it - at the round table, after the round table, at breakfast, etc! - often directly to the person they are suspicious of!

Pearbear · 01/02/2024 22:20

I’ve just finished it tonight and shouted so loudly at the end with Camilles steal my neighbours must have been wondering what was going on.
Right from the beginning when Roger tapped Sam’s shoulder and made him a traitor and he started the gun shooting thing I took an instant dislike to him. He thoroughly deserved that ending, for him to think he did all the work is wrong, him and Blake made decisions together as traitors, it was not his game.

BridgetRandomfuck · 01/02/2024 22:28

Man that was a frustrating watch! I have never seen such a bunch of stupid Faithfuls. They would vote people off with no evidence at all, and when someone accused Sam, he just turned it back on them and all the rest would just go with it. It was unbelievable! I’m so glad Camille stood up to them at the end, I couldn’t bear it if Sam got any of the money. I honestly think he’s a psychopath. No remorse, grandiosity, the venom at Camille when she didn’t follow his prediction. I felt a bit sorry for Blake, but not enough - he and Camille should have moved against Sam when they knew Liam was going to vote for him, but he seemed to have them all under a spell, like they were frightened to act against him.

Apparently the Aussie version has been cancelled now. After this series I’m not surprised. Keith and Sarah in particular should be embarrassed at how easily they were manipulated.

RainbowSnake · 01/02/2024 23:40

Do you think this season was originally only going to be 9 episodes rather than 12? Every other season I’ve seen has had at least a couple of nights with no murders when there have been recruitments but this lot only managed to get one traitor banished so there was only one chance for recruitment.

RedToothBrush · 02/02/2024 00:02

Finally caught up.

I'm a massive fan of Luke after watching Australian Survivor. He is reality TV gold. He's just so watchable. I have no doubt he's a knob in real life.

So I had a fair amount of background understanding into what he was like. And it's incredible to watch him because able to read people as well as he does. He was rarely wrong when on Survivor in terms of reading people. He quickly worked out Annabelle was definitely a faithful and trusted her in a way I've not seen before on Traitors.

Him and Annabelle just 'got' it and it was amazing to see the episode where they just go to Blake and Sam - you're a traitor and you're a traitor.

The idea that either Sam or Blake deserved the money after that, just goes out the window.

They only got that fair because the rest of the were Dum Dums. It was a series of The Dum Dums where the two winners were ejected half way through the series. The producers must have been so relieved they had cast Luke because otherwise the entire series would have been a total shit show. I can see it getting binned in Australia after that season tbh.

I have to say that the ending was just brilliant though. It was a contrast to the UK series and the only outcome you wanted was Sam to get screwed. Sam was a total prick to the very end and he got what he deserved. The others were Dum Dums for not getting him out earlier - they could have flipped with Liam but chose not to. So they got they deserved.

I hope Annabelle and Luke watched the final together and had a good laugh.

Also, can we have Luke come do some UK reality TV please? Did I mention I like Luke? He's fun, he's super positive and just well... We need more Luke's on reality TV.

I think they realised during production that it wasn't working.

This time around there were too many players trying to play it as if it was Australian Survivor. And they did it badly.

The exception was (ironically) Luke who ultimately just got frustrated and pissed off at the Dum Dums and couldn't be arsed with it anymore.

The format is problematic because the best players are so vulnerable to just getting murdered and the whole game is tipped in the favour of the Traitors.

I have to say I think it will have one, maybe two more UK series then that will be it as it won't have the longevity of some other series precisely because it gets frustrating for both players and viewers.

Theres only so much production interference possible and again the format doesn't lend itself as well to that as other Reality TV series.

I am a massive reality series fan and I do like Traitors but I think it's also got issues too in terms of the actual game itself.

SlightlyJaded · 02/02/2024 00:28

Just finished and agree that Sam's self righteous anger at Camille was jaw-dropping. He was disloyal, a liar, self-serving and generally deeply unpleasant in every interview. And that's before we get to him him referring to himself in the third person (The Sherrie). Don't forget he wasted silver bars on the uphill challenge on protein shakes and even on... nothing just because he "wanted to see how it felt to chuck a silver bar away". Despicable person.

So glad he got nothing.

Felt sorry for Blake but he was doomed from the start.

I have never seen so many stupid players though. The number of Faithfulls that serves Sam up on a silver plate over and over - honestly none of them deserved to win. Sam had no gameplay, no strategy. He didn't get to the end because he was smart but because they were stupid.

Terrible game really. Unintelligent gameplay. Crap challenges and awful production values.

But saved by THAT ending.

Stowickthevast · 02/02/2024 07:12

@RedToothBrush they have cancelled the Oz one after that series.

DM lives there and said no-one has ever mentioned it so it must have got really low ratings. She ended up watching S1 on iPlayer when she was over here in the summer.

I guess they threw some reality stars in to series 2 to try and attract more viewers but it was such a painful watch, it didn't work. I ended up mainly watching just the roundtables after Luke & Annabel went as I just couldn't stomach Sam.

NZ S1 is a good palate cleanser.
