Australian Traitors Season 2: Spoilers!! Spoilers!!

For all those who have WATCHED Season 2 on Daily Motion and wish to discuss ... SPOILERS

The ending. What a blinder Camille played! And Sam still trying to talk her out of it. I would have done exactly the same.

I can't remember most contestant's names now but it was extraordinary how every time someone suspected Sam he deflected onto them and off they were banished. I couldn't work out if he was a genius or the rest of them were extraordinarily stupid. I certainly wouldn't be pleased if that psychologist woman was my therapist, dumb to the very last moment.

@wubwubwub yes perhaps you’re right that the players knew it could happen , but I dunno, I must have missed this if it’s been mentioned before?

eish · 16/02/2024 08:25

The players will have known. There are all sorts of rules etc both in the challenges and as part of the game that they don’t tell the audience unless we need to know, otherwise it would make very boring TV.

SpttyMaldoon · 16/02/2024 08:27

They actually talk about sharing the pot before they had banished Liam and Sarah, so they must have known.

otherwise, there would have been a scene of the host telling them and I guess them being dumbfounded.

it’s also happened in other International versions.

Sharing through share-or-steal, or sharing as default in the same way the Faithful do if they win?

wubwubwub · 15/02/2024 22:07

They would have all known about traitors dilemma from beginning/before the game started.

Yes, but we as the audience didn’t, and that should have been better managed.

Not that I’m sad to see Sam get his comeuppance!

burnoutbabe · 16/02/2024 11:33

yes it was the lack of mentioning it to the audidence that made me feel "cheated"

I was assuming all along they share (and of course all discussions were about sharing between traitors). So when i watched i was working out tactics and by final 5 i knew if the 3 traitors bound together, they would share 3 ways and guaranteed win.

but if they wanted to try and go for 50% or 100% and get rid of another 1 or 2 traitors, that would be risky and they'd risk getting out themselves or faithful somehow winning.

but actually the result was no one would win. And if i had known from the start with 3 there would be this dilemna, i'd have not felt so dissapointed when no one won. (also i'd feel the whole thing a bit pointless if likely no winner due to that aspect)

asdunno · 17/02/2024 19:13

Just finished. Oh my god. That is the best series of them all!!

I love the share or steal twist.

Camille was amazing she sussed them both she knew exactly how it would play out.

Sam is vile, so entitled he genuinely believed he deserved it more than anyone else. He strikes me as a nasty bully in real life.

Blake looked devastated he really trusted camille.

Great series. I'd say the Australian version is even better than UK

Ruminate2much · 18/02/2024 06:52

@asdunno you see, I prefer the UK version - especially the first series. I was traumatised by the final of the second series!
But, overall I just find the UK players nicer. Kinder.
Really it's not the game for me. I have such a strong faithful bias. I also tend to like the hopeless traitors, who are just too nice to be effective traitors! 'Good' traitors scare me a bit! Especially when they throw their own under the bus.
Anyway, re UK vs Oz - I guess it boils down to personal taste.
I also prefer the atmosphere and location of our one.

And @NonPlayerCharacter the point was Sam swore blind they’d split the cash three ways then reneged, then was furious when he found out Camille had lied to him too (and Blake but he’d brought Camille in specifically to manipulate her). So nothing to feel sorry for, if he hadn’t been such a snake the others would probably have gone for the 3-way share

Yes Camille should have said to him at the end. If you weren't such a snake we would have been sharing the money. He was the reason they lost out.!

I was surprised he didn't banish her but he probably figured Blake would steal too so having her there was the best chance to win.

Well, Blake stole.. so he possibly trusted Sam to share.

Or he thought Sam would Steal, so pulled "Camille"

Either way it's not Camille's fault he went with nothing.

asdunno · 18/02/2024 07:44

wubwubwub · 13/02/2024 07:09

If Blake wanted the money so much... He played really badly. He had a few opportunities to get rid of Sam who he never trusted. He stole at the the end, knowing full well that Sam would steal and assumed that Camille would share... He played it wrong.bhe should have teamed up with Camille, got rid of Sam and she probably would have shared with him.

Blake was fairly under the radar. Sarah and Liam wanted Sam out plus Camille would have probably gone with the room. He could have also convinced Sarah and Liam to dump Camille and got the money for himself. That was his only guaranteed way. He played very badly.

NonPlayerCharacter · 18/02/2024 15:38

I think Blake totally expected Sam to steal...who would think otherwise? He didn't look upset until Camille showed her board. I think they were both counting on her. She knew it!

TellingBone · 22/02/2024 12:05

Just finished watching. Very happy that Sam got nothing.

I think if Blake and Camille had somehow ended up as the final two they would have shared. Blake stole because he knew fine well [as did Camille] that Sam would always steal.

In other news, Sarah reminded me of Su Pollard as Peggy. 😄

Haha I said exactly the same thing about Sarah.

SteamingTangerine · 22/02/2024 15:05

Yes I said Sarah was an Aussie Pollard, but without the charm and intelligence!

Ruminate2much · 22/02/2024 20:45

Oh yeah, now you mention it, you're right about Sarah/Peggy! I knew she reminded me of someone, but couldn't think who...

WhisperGold · 07/03/2024 11:21

Wow, that was hard to watch sometimes. They must be the dumbest bunch of faithful ever. One traitor banished and only because Sam orchestrated it.
My unpopular opinion - Rodger is a better host than Claudia.

SpttyMaldoon · 07/03/2024 14:29

@WhisperGold he certainly had to get more involved than Claudia…

At the end he was practically directly telling them (Sarah & Liam…), ‘don’t let Sam sway your vote again’.

Treesandsheepeverywhere · 07/03/2024 15:43

I think he's different, not necessarily better.
They're both good but prefer the UK version where they're not trying to be pally with the host.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 07/03/2024 21:30

Camille complete legend. She knew Sam would not share. The scumbag had the cheek to be pissed off. He comes across as so nasty. Could not see it was his own actions which cost him the game.

StillCreatingAName · 10/03/2024 12:17

I thought this was absolutely brilliant, the creators must have been rubbing their hands- it’s the perfect ending, with humans not trusting each other.
Camille was an absolute player 👏🏼
For every ‘Sam’ you meet in real life, particularly in the workplace, who think they have others under their spell, you need a Camille. I genuinely felt for Jack Black Blake as he didn’t seem to be a natural traitor by nature and still managed to fly under the radar to the final, he probably deserved the money most out of three of them.

Claudia and Rodger are both equally the best presenters, also 👏🏼 to the costume team for creating a character for the presenters (The US version with Alan Cummings was awful, just such a mismatch, I only lasted a few episodes).

Slanabhaile · 10/03/2024 12:32

It's been a month or do since I watched it, but still think about it & how happy I was when Camille stole.

Thinking about it more... usually the traitor gets away with it because she/he is popular & well liked. This was the case with Paul (until it wasn't) and Harry in the UK. But with Sam I just didn't get the impression that people particularly liked him - but somehow he could manage to get people to change their minds 🤔

TitsInAbsentia · 10/03/2024 15:00

That's what I never worked out with Sam, no-one seemed that keen on him yet they were always happy to take his lead, like some weird cult leader!

I will always love that fact that Camille didn't give a fig about being 'kind' and letting them take the money - it's a game lads 😆

Treesandsheepeverywhere · 10/03/2024 16:24

Apparently Sam made out he was big on social media, so almost a threat to say if anyone went against him, he and his "fans" would get them once out.
Not sure why they believed he was that influential when they'd never heard of him.

TBF I've never heard of loads of Social Media influencers etc..... there's people with millions of followers I've never heard of!

Just looking them up the most popular now...

Kimberly Loaiza 80 million
Noel Robinson 39m
Charli D'Amelio 192m
Zach king 81.1m

Not a clue who any of these people are!
